  2. hm.. some sort of cloak shield... would make you and everything in X radius cloaked... one ship having the special could help a whole pack of teamates get through enemy lines.. The team would see it as some kind of circle... the other team would just see ships going in it and disappear

  12. to be able to edit them in the tileset... But if there's another client being built entirely, Being able to edit the properties of each tiles would be the best... -transparency -ships go through/not -weapons go through/not/are absorbed -flyover/under (if anything goes through) -auto-warp -kills thors -square tile or diagonal / or \ those would be the available properties i'd give to all tiles... having tiles where you can have weapons go through, but not ships, give a lot of possibilities when creating maps.
  13. that's a problem yes.. mines (and sometimes bombs) detonations are not sent reliably... you can blow up a mine on your screen, but someone with some lag did not see you get close enough, and mines are still there for him... I think that's what you're talking about Overburn...
  14. speaking of bursts... be able to specify the angle of the burst... I mean that you could throw a burst 'forward' if it is set to.. let's say.. 30 degrees... if you want them to stay the same as they are right now, you set it at 360 degrees. This would be different for each ship. Since you can already specify the number of burst bullets per ship, the burst could be turned into different types of weapons with this only setting... And I guess if you use negative burst speed, it would throw backwards !@#$%^&*, the possibility to have the burst active at launch could be nice too... It could be used, in some cases, as a defensive weapon in open air.. throwing stuff all around the ship... With the angle thing, could be used as a shotgun-like weapon...

  19. Hm, I can't erase special tiles with the eraser... And is there any way to delete a whole section of tiles? You can select them with the selection tool, but then.. can you erase what you selected? EDIT: ok, you can 'cut' , ... it works.. but it would be great to see the 'delete' key working The Apply EZ Tiles inside selection tool doesn't seem to always work... I was trying it and it wasn't working... then it was working, but only applied changes when i unselected the tiles... A circle/filled circle tool would be nice too... Also, if you hold shift while creating a rectangle, it should be forced to square (as an ellipse should be forced to a circle if you include the circle feature) That's what I had to say... very nice work man :dualthumb:
  20. not exactly... it would reflect only what hits it during a longer period of time... and would stay around your ship as you move It would use the same principles than the repel.. it would be a moving long-period short-range repel

  22. actually that made me think about a good idea: permanent damage... I know there's a way to 'damage' ships, so they lose a prize... but it would be cool to have damaged thrusters or gun mounts... You could lose power on the left thruster, so your ship would turn left when you thrust forward, or you could lose one of your gun mounts with multifire... you'd shoot only 2 bullets instead of 3 (or 3 instead of 4 with doublebarrel) Then I guess there would be a way to get repaired... at a base or something.. haha
  23. ooh... special item: reflective shield casts a shield of a certain diameter around you, so you can protect you and your allies from enemy weapons... it would deflect them away.
  24. Those tiles only give you the ability to fly over/under them. They have no affinity with the direction that a ship can fly over them, or the direction bombs/bullets travel through them. Those tiles are really only good for making things look graphically nice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually... those 'special' tiles are not only fly under/over tiles, some have the property of bricks, and some have weird properties... there's some topic in the dev forum about those... really interesting. If I remember correctly, some tiles 'absorb' thor hammers, some others let weapons go through, but not ships, or vice-versa...
  25. -Charging up weapons... charge up your lvl3 guns for some time and they come out charged up... or bombs... or just comes out faster... could be edited with a few settings (i.e. Guns:ChargeupTime: #### Guns:ChargeupDamage:#### Guns:ChargeupSpeed:#### Guns:ChargeupEnergy:#### same thing with bombs , plus Bombs:ChargeupThrust:#### to modify the backfire thrust of a charged bomb ... all this desactivated by ChargeupTime:0 ... since those settings would be modifiers, you wouldn't need one for each bullet/bomb level... just +/- to the standard value... ) -Heat (kinda like in MechWarrior... each weapon would generate heat, also charged up weapon, afterburners..getting hit could warm you up too.. if you p!@#$%^&* a certain heat level, you get an engine shutdown... possibility of new special items: Engine Coolant , Heat bomb (when shot at enemy, heats him) ) would make possible things such as fast-fire energy-free weapons.. yet not unlimited , for a machinegun for example... would also bring a whole new dimension in weapon managing
