Some people sometimes get caught in a IP-based ban... This seems to be one of these cases. I'll move this to the appropriate subforum and a higher power should resolve this soon enough... Edit: Oh... this isn't a netban, so yeah, you definitely have to contact someone over at Trench Wars. Best bet would be on their forum, or if you look at their news.txt you can probably find an e-mail address for ban issues. I... guess I'll leave this topic here anyway?

No advertising is actually a pretty common rule... It doesn't mean an insta-ban if you talk about another zone, but it prevents people spamming about their sucky zone and stuff. What Brain is saying, is that you're taking a shit on his zone in a topic that is about DSB. If you don't like his zone or its rules, just get over it and shut up.

Turn off your help ticker, it only feeds the argument that you're a noob, and it makes the logs (even more of) a pain to read...

Intercepting packets means you still can only act on what is exchanged between the server and the client... I guess you could intercept outgoing ?commands and such, but that's about it. Other than that, it doesn't add anything to what ASSS modules can do................ except having a huge annoying window that hides half your screen, I guess. The energy needed to develop that kind of thing would be much better spent working on Discretion or any other alternative future client.

How does your "external" application gets the data to display, like the kills, and bounty, as you suggested in your first post?

(From what I understand) It still has to be a plug-in in the client. If we had a client that supported plugins, we'd be doing much more awesome stuff already. ASSS allows us to make server-side modules, but we can't do anything client-side.

Do you have all the windows updates? Cause... this is definitely a message Windows gives you. I remember seeing this message when I tried to execute something while I was actually shutting down my machine. There must be something that makes Windows think it's shutting down for some reason. Make sure you have SP3 and all the available updates.
