Should be fixed now... The feedback and support subforum is there for this kind of stuff, we can't guess And PM's can take longer because that particular admin might be busy or away for a while.
  4. http://www.heptune.com/farts.html "[...] Foods such as cauliflower, eggs and meat are notorious for producing smelly farts, whereas beans produce large amounts of not particularly stinky farts." Solution: eat lots of eggs AND beans. Are you trying to lose your job or something? Edit: Man, that site is a gold mine... but wtf I can't copy-paste anything from it...
  5. Holy crap... didn't think they would ever play that one live though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFMeN6qqKNI

  7. Wow... carat is taking shitposting to a whole new level.
  8. I mean... what's in the menu? What is he selecting?
  9. Not exactly a patched client, as I understand it... Could an external exe mess with the display layer? An external app can certainly catch the keystrokes from the client, and if it could throw back some display as feedback, you'd be able to make a lot of cool stuff... I guess the external app could then send ?commands via the client, so with ASSS you could turn lengthy/complex ?commands into a simple menu. That would actually be pretty awesome. The second best thing after a fresh client, imo Can anyone see what he actually does in these menus in the video?
  10. ... You don't see enemy ships roll do you? Why would you see the ghost lanc roll?
  11. That's the question... What's the method?
  12. Yeah... it's a technique that's been around for ages. Also, say you want to have tree leaves semi-transparent, you can have a fly-over graphic with no black pixels, and a fly-under graphic with the black pixel grid. The image stays visually fine, but when you fly under it, part of your ship is visible. I think Mystic Kingdom used it a lot.
  13. I increased it to 100MB for the Administrator group, and now it says '0 bytes of 8MB used'... pretty weird.
  14. The psychedelic gfx pack definitely has no transparency... the ships just have some black pixels in them. They're in bitmap format anyway, which doesn't have an alpha channel. The easiest way to achieve such ghosting effect is to add a black "grid" of pixels on the image so that it's half transparent. Maybe it's the video compression because of youtube, but the ghost ship doesn't look like it's simply using this trick. I took a screenshot of the video at 1:50 Edit: Used 42.71MB of your 20MB global upload quota ... hmmmmmmm... Edit2: wth... now it says Used 0bytes of your 8MB global upload quota... 8MB is the per-post limit, not global... whatever.
  15. ... Can you give a link to this "psychedelic" gfx pack?
  16. Yeah... giving 5 tries for each different name would be more than enough to prevent bruteforcing... But whether we like it or not, there's not much we can do
  17. Cross-posted discussion http://forums.trenchwars.net/showthread.php?41854-VROOOOMM It's like I just opened a Stargate™ between two alien worlds.
  18. Well.. sending a lvz toggle+move packet cannot be much worse than sending a fake player's position packet... And if you want bandwidth rape, I guess these 3D cubes involve 1 lvz move for each of them on every playermove... or am I missing some obvious way to do it?
  19. Where do you see transparency on the ship?? Edit: oh.. the ghost... hmmm I really want to see the .lvz's of that thing
  20. Which arena is that... These happen to be the same tracks I created... makes me wonder if he copied the maps... I was actually working on a racing module myself. But I was focusing on keeping track of players' position along the track. Ghosts and overlays would have been next. And it's nice usage of lvz move magic with those cubes...
  21. lvz's are zipped, so it doesn't matter much... anything other than BMP will simply take a bit longer to load. Well... BMP's will take a bit longer to read from hard drive I guess, but much less CPU required to display the image Conclusion: whatever.
  22. Running fullscreen? I use the chat window in windowed mode as well, and I sometimes have to click in the game's window twice to set the focus correctly after... I guess it might be the same issue.
  23. Click on your name at the top-right, and you can select 'Manage ignored users'
  24. Wait... make sure you get paid for each page of code!
