I also dislike how the javelin and leviathan fulfill almost the same niche at the moment, where one is just a weaker, faster version of the other, but otherwise play identically. I always imagined the leviathan as the artillery: a !@#$%^&* of a lot more firepower than the javelin, but easily picked off by fighters. I do think HE levs are a problem, but not for center fighting. I can nerf levis maneuverabiliy-wise, but I also think that the HE missile should not be able to lay mines.

I also use salvo on gun based ships for the short item recovery time. I really enjoy how you can use mines or salvo for bombs for practical benefits, but not stat-wise benefits. Although, I'm not opposed to just having a gun or bomb converter or something. My idea is using guns to beef up shrapnel. I think you should be able to buy some guns solely for shrapnel effects. For example, you could get nonbouncing l3 shrap but it would also increase the energy cost of firing bombs to counterbalance (Or maybe also even bouncing l3 shrap, but at a huge energy cost).

Back in old HS, basing was much more fun with less reps. Currently, inside of a base, it's just bullet/burst spam, and occasional linebombing. There was a time when bombs could actually be used tactically inside of a base. I agree with everything else, but as an added thing, I think antideath should only prize items if the player is killed in the center, but not in any of the other sectors. Right now, especially with the bricks, antideath is extremely lame/cheap for flagging. I don't blame the problem entirely on the items, though. It's mainly wallbombing which is responsible for the current pace of flagging and the short lifespan of ships in the base.

The screen actually isn't that easy to scratch, but it does easily get dirt and marks on it. Also, you can increase (or decrease) the touchpad's sensitivity. Still though, I think Verizon is overselling the Chocolate. I had to pay an additional $40 for the music essentials kit for the compatible headphones (the phone doesn't use the normal jack) and $50 for a 1 GB micro SD card (The phone itself holds 64MB for music and 64MB for miscellaneous things). I've never been with the other companies, but compared to my friends, who occasionally don't get signal when I do, I think Verizon has the best service of any of them hands down (at least around Virginia). However, Verizon disables almost all functions with Bluetooth, and makes you end up paying for a lot of small things. The phones are good, but are more expensive than the equivalents of the other companies. I'd say if you're willing to spend the money for great phones and great service, go with Verizon, otherwise another company probably offers a much better deal for your money. I just voted Verizon because it's the only provider I've ever had, and I really can't judge the other companies.

If you're in Quadrant I, yes. However, Continuum is Quadrant IV on a Cartesian coordinate system. Also, while JoWie is correct about being able to leave the boundaries of the map with the portal glitch, I think what Evo. is talking about (I haven't seen this first-hand, so correct me if I'm wrong) is indeed being around 0,0. The top left corner of the outer edge of the hypertunnel wall is actually at 5,5. Meaning there's an open space that ships can fly around in if they somehow got in there. Of course, I still don't know what the glitch is that makes him spawn up there in the first place, but what seems to be a simple solution to me is plugging up the area in the top left with the black solid map border tiles.

Yes, I do agree that racism's worse than swearing. I will let a random "!@#$%^&*" slide if that person has otherwise good behavior, but I have zero tolerance for racism. But, when has racism gone unpunished? As far as I know, if another mod doesn't deal with racism, I do. Of course, I'm not always online. The other thing to keep in mind is, it's not always obvious when/how a person is being punished. Feel free to use ?cheater any time to make sure a bigot is being dealt with properly, though.

KIRBY! While I no longer play HS, I welcome you back all the same. For anyone who doesn't know Kirby, he's a great guy. One of the most fun people to play with in SS.

And as far as quantum mechanics go, if you're just taking general chemistry, it's easy, so don't worry about it. But if you want to become a chemical engineer, or major in chemistry, you might also want to buy a can of anal lubricant to prepare for the trauma of physical chemistry.

Yeah, that's why I like space-ish themes.

In my case, I copied over AlienGUIse (for the Alienware themes) from my laptop, but I think you can download it for free from http://www.alienware.com. You can find more by just googling "Windows Themes". Or, if you want to play around with it yourself, right click on your desktop, and go to "Properties" and select "Appearance", "Desktop", "Screen Saver", and/or "Themes". *cries in corner with Nike*

Haha, what's your room number? I can drop by maybe some time this week. Organic Chemistry FTL

I don't think it should be made illegal, but it is lame. A year or two ago, javelins were invincible in the center by holding down tab, and spamming rockets and occasional portals. As DBE said though, thors in particular aren't really a problem, but I think other items can be, depending on the settings. Also, illegalizing reshipping is too hard to enforce. If it becomes that big of a problem, it should be solved with a module.

http://filebox.vt.edu/users/bomook/misc/desktop.JPG This is on my desktop PC with two 20.1" LCD monitors. It's relatively clean for now because I haven't installed much on it. My laptop's desktop is swamped with icons though.

Just like DBE, it's not the principles I care about. In fact, I detest censorship in real life. I agree with the children thing, but even if there are many kids, seeing and knowing curse words will just desensitize them to it, which I think is good in the long run. Of course, this is ultimately for their parents to decide, but I digress. Case in point, it's the mods' jobs to enforce the rule set by the owner, regardless of their own morality. I personally would prefer the rule abolished, but I don't find it to be that intrusive. Brain isn't the kind of person to change his mind, so as players, if anyone find the rule itself to be unreasonable, all they can do is play in a different zone. The issue of how the rule is enforced is a different story though.
-
In real life, yes. But online, I disagree. I'm prone to spurting out the word "!@#$%^&*!" among others on a near-constant basis in real life if I trip, hit myself, forget something, etc. but on a computer game, where you have to type it up, it takes only the slightest self control to avoid doing. As far as I know, acronyms are still acceptable. Using some such as "WTF" are pretty much a fact of life on the internet, if that's what you meant by self expression.

Not anymore at least Especially mook Noooo, sexy butt... I mean Fat Cat! You weren't supposed to tell anyone! Quitting was just a cover-up! I actually got fired for being corrupt and abusing the rule! oh... and of course there was that other incident of embezzling ?grant funds to spend on my ferret ranch.
-
I actually agree, to an extent. There need to be some general guidelines. When I was enforcing the rule, I went by what is and isn't allowed on television, ergo "!@#$%^&*" and "!@#$%^&*". The main problem is that different mods enforce different things. I've had other mod(s) tell players that "!@#$%^&*" isn't a curse word behind my back. Personally, I'm extremely liberal on language, but saying that "!@#$%^&*" isn't a profanity? Come on. While I do think the players should know where the general boundary is out of common sense, if they directly ask for it, then they should be provided with a better idea of what to avoid.
-
I personally don't care about cursing. I'd like to think that we're all mature, and that we can bear to just look at certain words. However, ever since the no swear rule was created, it was enforced inconsistently at best. I enforced it because a rule is a rule, but I think all mods should either enforce it regularly or not at all. There were lots of problems with some mods enforcing the rule in regard to some words, and then the violator complains about how other mods didn't care about those words. It becomes a pain to the mods who are enforcing it when others aren't doing their job.

Who the !@#$%^&* is HXH, anyways? All I got out of it is that he's a trash talker and certainly not me. -
Welcome Back! You and Fat Cat need to be mods again I just visit the forums every once in a while because it's summer, but unfortunately still don't have the time to play because of a full time job and some work at the hospital.
