anyone who uses the word douche is a douche i find, except me, i'm cool.
-
Who would be stupid enough not to? Instead of saying i'll abuse, or i'll do this, aka assumptions, one can just give me mod powers and find out, and with all the responsibility if i do something bad, you guys have a real reason to ban me for good, instead of personal opinion and assumptions. BUT it seems all of you don't actually want to prove you are right, you just want to think you are. You talk the talk, but can't walk the walk. i am prepared for action, you are just talking out your ass. Perhaps you are worried i'll do a better job than most of you can. Something to think about.

The swearing happens accidently most of the time... i always figured most bans were warranted when a person breaks a rule on purpose.. But 99% of the time i forget HS has a no swear rule, and 99% of the time i type a bad word without even thinking i typed a bad word and shouldn't push enter, it's almost subconsiously natural.. not necessarily a habit.. but when it happens it's not like i planned it or was even aware, until after i read what typed. and then think, crap, did it again. =/ Then i am like, sorry, sorry, but there was no mods around to punish me anyway lol Policing myself.. =/ and i agree vaginas are more offensive
-
Lol human decency, if only, if the mods wanted, they can give me some mod powers, and i'll volunteer to baby sit Arry, can just give him a post restriction, and i'll allow or decline any posts based on the forum rules.

Only way to get high xp fast, is to buy every type of ship, especially ships more suited to getting lots of kills during a base game. You can get 40-100 kills per a base game. Does the xp on one ship you play with stay the same when you ?buy another ship? At any rate i never wanted to do this, i have one ship only, a javelin.. want to see how many years it takes to hit 7000 xp with it. So far i only play like 5 hours a week, so it's been slow.

This has always been a problem, kept bitching about it too.. Especially how dumb it is that mods announce in green.. they are better off announcing in red. enter and leave messages are lame in center, better in chat, i moved them in chat specifically so i don't miss them, as they are recorded after. And in center, once it's gone, it's gone, and it only lasts a few seconds. Especially if 5 people enter at once, or 5 deaths happen at once etc. though i rarely miss them in chat because they are short, compared to the long green sentences everything else makes.

Funny how he thinks i changed names to avoid a real or fake ignore or something. It's your choice to remain blissfully ignorant, often a choice most people make in society. Be proud. Also RAID depends on your use, but Brain pretty much covered why SSD is better. And i think you can RAID 10 SSD's together or something..

Solid state drives have been around since the 1950's. You think any technology is new? SSD's (for our intended use) i think came out in 2007, and were halfway decent by 2009/2010. But your right i just checked and my PC is from 2009 Christmas. It has a 2 year old CPU, and a 2 month old Graphic card. How is 2 terabytes of Hard drive space inconceivable? That existed since 2006.. or something. (i have 2 external 1 terabyte drives) If anyone wants to find the history of RAM, that would be nice, but Ram wasn't DDR3 on AMD motherboard for awhile. Probably until 2006, after that the motherboards of AMD caught up with the RAM. Not sure when they started making 4 GIG sticks, probably in 2010.. True, i am guilty of exaggeration, and posting based on bad memory, because i'm lazy to look up when i bought my computer. My timeline is a bit skewed as well, as i am not really apart of this world or society, and don't care much for time, no schedules to keep, no appointments, not living by the clock. i don't often keep details which can be looked up. a victim of the google generation. And i like to make accusations, so someone can post and tell me i am wrong. It's the quickest way to the truth. i don't actually believe what i say. For example i didn't actually think this game was pay by month, but i made the accusation, to see if anyone would confirm it, or deny it. As i was lazy to look on the website. So thanks. To my credit, i believe people, and take them at their word until they prove to be liars. So Gallatin saying the game is not pay by month, is sufficient enough for me. Basically i upgraded this PC so much, and transferred old components to other PC's that i couldn't really keep track of what was from when. But nothing is less than 2 years old except the graphic card. So i can still say, 2 year old PC, with some 4 year old parts, AND it's still up to PAR with your NEW pc.
-
Oh woops, i meant 2 terabytes of hard drive space. Anyway, my ram is better, its clocked faster, etc. Actually if you knew anything about computers, ram hasn't changed much. Your ram is likely, 9-9-9-24, while mine is 8-8-8-23, or something, i need to find the packaging.. plus there are higher versions than 1600mhz. Processors and Graphic cards change the most. You could have said you can't have a 2 gigbyte, 4 year old graphic card, as i don't think 4-6 years ago they were making those yet. But see you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed.. The graphic card is new, i upgrade it every 4 years, just got a new one at christmas. Well if i get the game for free, i'll play it. But if it's not monthly subscription what is it? Pay for items/store game? Or one time purchase of 60 to 120$... Yearly subscription? the only cool thing you got was the Joystick. Intel Core i7-3820 @ 3.60GHz 9,162 $288.49 AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 9,120 $193.79 AMD wins once again. Half the price and likely a better processor with only 38 points in difference.
-
Jeez my PC is 4-6 years old, and beats that on every level except the Processor, sadly i only have a 6 core, 1100T. My ram is faster, and i have 16gigs, ATI 2 gig graphic card (probably the same quality as yours), 2 Terebytes ram, and A Solid State Drive for my OS, Xonar Essence ST sound card.. Blueray player, etc. To bad i will never pay monthly for a game, and all games that ask for monthly payments have proven to never be worth it, since Ultima Online died in 1999. =/ I was blessed by playing the best of Mmporgs, and nothing since has compared or even come close to that experience. EVE online made me sick. WOW is crap, even runescape is better than WOW. Dungeon and Dragons online is okay, mainly because it's free, but the experience stops at level 20, and its rather linear.. Darkfall was a failure. Old Republic is endless questing, which i can do in single player, no reason i should pay for multiplayer. And blah di blah di blah. Waste of a life if your playing these. Honestly i'd sell that PC on ebay, maybe get 2000$ and buy a better one.

Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
No it's just that you don't read what i write literally, you are adding meaning where there is none. And there is no hypocrisy here on my part. Making fun of me for typing bot instead of module as an example was fine by me, i used the wrong word, even though i new the difference, i pretty much didn't care for the distinction between them as my meaning should have been clear no matter what word i used. Similar i don't add details, or explain every little thing, if people did that, we would write like lawyers in 1000's of pages. Even i am not capable of that. It doesn't mean you should assume what i meant, or what i am saying, you could simply ask a very specific question to figure out if i am assuming or if i'm not. But i notice no one is asking me specific questions, because you know i would answer with i don't know. As i am not scared of saying i don't know things. etc. Asking questions solves all the issues, my question to you guys, is instead of dragging this out into a 20 page thread, why didn't you ask a question or two? You didn't really want to get to the bottom of anything, as so much to try and trap me. You were assuming everything, and that's why you never asked any questions, instead only made accusations. That sort of proves all my points. -
Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
Not really because i don't know what i am doing. It's all trial and error, and luck sometimes. The only thing i "assumed" is that i'd find a way to bypass a ban through a chat program, regardless of the protocol it uses. Basically i "assumed" i was capable of doing anything given enough time, and dedication. In other words it's not an assumption at all but a fact. Anyone competent in learning, can eventually accomplish their goals given time, and dedication. Maybe if i was netbanned for 1 year, i would come back smarter than before. i still can't bypass a netban through continuum. The ban sticks there. There likely was a big difference between starlight, and continuum. Otherwise why would the netban stick on continuum and not on starlight? Also i never bothered to figure out why, because i already bypassed the ban through starlight, plus i had a ban free from tm_master. So there was no motivation to get the continuum client past the netban. -
Let's assume I know what I'm talking about

You know where i got "Assumption is the mother of all F- ups" Its from a steven seagal movie, and they thought seagal died, fell off the train. The boss asks his hentchmen, is he dead? And they reply yes. And the boss asks, did you see his body? And the hentchmen say no. And the boss goes, "Assumption is the mother of all F- ups" GO BACK and make sure he is dead. Now if i was the henchmen, and instead when the boss asked me is he dead, and i replied, He fell off the train chances are he didn't survive. That's not an assumption. That's open to the fact that there is a chance he did survive. i stated he fell off the train which is a fact, but that i didn't see his body is clear, because i don't know if he is dead. -
Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
Nope, what i initially wrote, in my very first post, signified the following. Afterward i just assumed i could bypass the netban to try and get you to say why i couldn't. Otherwise known as fishing for information. But that would have to be my only assumption. And i am being literally brutally honest here, i don't know much about networking, chatnet, etc, But despite that there is nothing new in this thread that i learned and nothing i didn't already know. Except, that silverchat uses chatnet protocol, but you made that clear on the first page, and then i knew that. Otherwise, everything else you assume i didn't know, i did know. You guys are just being opportunists, trying to corner me by saying i assume to much and don't know anything, in a thread where i already stated i don't know much about the topic. As for what i don't know, i am not even sure how i bypassed the netban on Starlight, i just did the routine things, change ip and a bunch of other stuff and it worked. i never claimed to know what i was doing anywhere or to know how anything works. -
Well, how many of us wish Interplay and other old developers were still around? Instead we have Big ones like nintendo which gobbled them all up. i can find fault with almost every game today, things they could have done better etc. Especially with Oblivion, and later on Skyrim, although thank god Skyrim was an improvement. A lot of movies make sales too, it doesn't mean they are any good. LOTR was crap, compared to The Hobbit. Funny thing is everyone thinks the reverse.

Now it's all irrelevant, because he put a WHITE ship in the background. So replacing the gray with white, will no longer look as good. Unless that ship becomes red, or black. If it's green or white, it won't go well with a white background, and If it's blue that's IFFY. Also keep in mind i never trashed his designs anywhere, like other have, saying it's retro, it's from the 1990's of the internet, etc. All i said was saturn is retro in science fiction, i basically disagreed with the planet saturn, which has showed up in science fiction since the 1920's or earlier. Likewise, i love the ship designs, doubt anyone else could have done a better job on them. All the ships are something i'd like to play. And i pretty much gave only good mention to his websites, and all other designs, love the in game planets, and atmosphere, space, stars, nebula etc, i just wanted to see if the gray would look better in white. That's all. And i am sure Richard can recognize the sensibility in saying that the Idea is more important than personal opinion, or anything else. This isn't just Richard Betson, this is an idea, ideas take on a life of their own and eventually get shaped by whole communities. You need a balance, though, someone to draw a line, and stick to it, so you maintain some sort of identity. But still if other people become passionate about your idea. That's basically what the hell you are striving for, so take no offense.

Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
i never assumed silver chat allows users to create names. And i never assumed that it doesn't allow users to create names. i was open to both possibilities. If i assumed it doesn't let users create names, that's still an assumption because i never used silverchat. EVEN if it's correct. The word 'unless' is again working with if and than statements. Unless it is this way, then you can't bypass netbans. It's not making any claims for or against. An assumption is a claim without facts. i don't make make claims anywhere because i don't have facts anywhere. (ie i am not a programmer).. i openly admit i don't know much on these topics. i can't be assuming anything, when i am always open to the opposite being true. This means i speculate, which means i have no facts, but i consider every side. Assumptions don't consider both sides, they only take one side without facts and believe in it. Assumptions are bad when you make a claim, and have no facts, but believe that claim. Ie, if i say, SILVER chat lets us create new user names. Thats a claim now, and an assumption, because it's based on zero facts since i never used Silverchat. if i say, SILVER chat doesn't let us make new user names, after having used silverchat, then that's pretty much a claim, and a fact. If i say, Unless silver chat doesn't allow us to make new names, then it would be hard to bypass a netban. It means i don't know, because i used the world unless.. It also means i am just saying it's hard to bypass a netban when we can't create new user names. It really makes no claims for creating names, or not creating names, on silver chat. It's practically an IF and than statement. Pure speculating, which is good, because that's how you come closer to the truth. Assumption is when you think you've found the truth. (Can i make this any more clear?) You guys on the other hand, are often guilty of pure assumption, especially when it concerns me. You have no facts, ask no questions, but make a claim, Lone Outlaw thinks Chatnet is a java program. You believe that claim, but it's based on zero facts. If you instead said, Lone outlaw might think chatnet is a java program, but its possible he doesn't, then you would be speculating. There is no claim there. It's just having no facts, and considering both possibilities. i've never used silverchat and i clearly said i never used silverchat. So why would i assume anything about it? You are attempting to tell me how i think, you are not me, can't read minds. Good luck with that. i didn't even assume i can bypass a netban on silverchat, i simply said make sure no one can. If it's already 100% secure, then that's good. If it's not, make sure it is. Pretty simple, no assumptions. -
Most of the best business' in the world were not started alone. Everyone had a partner. And most great things are created by a team, every team has a leader. This comes down to being a good leader, or a bad one. Unless you are Van Goh, and making a painting, there is no reason to use your own input, especially when you may not be as gifted a painter. Also there is no democracy here, richard is the final decider, but he can have input from like 100 or 1000 different people, and decide what is best from there. That's called having an open mind. An open mind is infinitely more powerful than a closed fist.

Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
I never assumed silverchat allows players to create names. I asked if it does. And i stated that i never used silverchat, so i can't know anything about it's features. Starlight allowed you to create new names however, though it wasn't a chatnet client. That's not an assumption, that's just bad communication, instead of using connect, i should have used another word. Also quote me and stop telling me what i assumed. ty. This is obvious, there is no assumption, just bad communication on my part, because i am not a programmer/networker etc. The client has nothing to do with anything.. everything in continuum is with the server/biller. When i used the word continuum client, i was just using a general word to refer to continuum, and wherever the netban is. I don't need to be specific, especially with you guys, since you should know what i am talking about. Also i'm glad the topic was finally split, after you guys derailed it beause of your personal vendettas. -
Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
Lol yeah, its called using the wrong word.. and then being accused of assumption. Likewise, just because my technobabel is not good doesn't mean i don't know what i am talking about. I knew all of that, i never said chatnet uses java, i said silverchat is a jar file, based on java. Like really where do you get all these statements from. Can you quote me at least. And i understood silverchat uses chatnet protocol the very second you mentioned it on page 1, especially when you provided the link. No where did i state otherwise. As well i knew silverchat only connects to ASSS servers.. it says so right in silver's post. My issue is, how does a netban stick through chatnet compared to starlight? and compared to the actual continuum client itself? The continuum client seems to have the better ban than starlight ever did. How was it that i bypassed a netban on starlight, yet the continuum client ban stayed? How is it i can't do the same on Silverchat JUST because it uses chatnet protocol? Unless silverchat doesn't allow users to create new player names. Don't all clients, chat or otherwise, send data to the server, and the server responds by accepting your login or declining it. So you would need a new name, and new IP for starters. -
Richard it's not about what you like. Even if it's your project, most games are failures because people only do what they like. Don't make that mistake. Listen to advice, feedback, the best designs come about when people get input from thousands of other people, allowing for new perspectives and not just your own. After all everything in the world is from somewhere else, everything is a remix, we stand on the shoulders of giants before us. Don't assume what you like even matters, unless you let pride over take the idea. The idea should be above everything else, including you. All that matters is what is best. You won't know if you don't test it. Put white and lets see if it looks better. IF you did put white and you still prefer GRAY, then that's a whole different story. Unless your busy, or its unimportant, but you could just say that. It's not about orders, i'd put white myself if i had access to the tools/website. I'd pay you to put white, but then you might take it like you work for me, which is not the case, i just want to see if it looks better with white, perhaps because i actually strive for the best in everything, and don't settle for less.. Also cool ship.

Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
If you want a whole lot of stupid look here. Silverlight doesn't exist first of all. The only thing i barely compared was Starlight to Silverchat, by stating that i bypassed a netban on one, and can likely do the same on the other. And there are obvious differences, one is a Jar file, the other was an EXE. According to Spidernl the Jar file one, (which is likely obviously executable) is involved somehow with chatnet. How it's involved, i don't really care. It's not something i stated, rather chatnet is something spidernl keeps bringing up. Chatnet is based on a whole other program designed by someone else. Do i need to write every obvious detail? Again you guys are assuming too much. Keep this up, i can go on for the rest of the year, or you can take your heads out of your asses sometime and smell the fresh air. -
Let's assume I know what I'm talking about
Lone Outlaw replied to Lone Outlaw's topic in General Discussion
Yeah one is actually a program, the other is a Jar file, which is java based. Either way i'm sure the netban can be bypassed via chatnet, compared to the client. Someone ban me and we'll find out. Then i'll come back laughing, like last time. -

i don't put ointments on burns, i just apply cold water for a few hours. Also the degree of a burn depends on how important something was to a person. This thread and the 10 posts will definitely scar me for life. Especially after all those 20 years i've been on forums, trolling, being trolled, getting made fun of, and being banned. All of the above often by countless people sometimes even getting ganked by whole communities, and debating with the some of the best people, dare i say with people who might even be more educated than you guys. Also remember, while i have a lot to learn in programming, and definitely networking wise, and sound wise, i do know a fair bit about hardware and electronics (though i suppose it's as easy to learn as programming). i have learned Html, Css, PHP, and Java, and was fairly good at all of them when i remained practiced. But there is no need for me to practice, i have no forums to maintain, or websites to make. And i am not sure i want to spend more than 2 hours in front a computer anymore. Not having knowledge on these issues doesn't mean i lose any rights to post. If anything you guys need a fresh perspective. And not having knowledge on these topics doesn't make one more or less intelligent or well learned or smarter than another. My mind is filled with other things, philosophy, history, psychology, sociology, astronomy, physcis, etc. Now of course i could never be a good troll if my level of care was low. i care about everything, it's how i remain so persistent. The whole point of my post = make it so we can't bypass netbans using the chat app. Like i bypassed a netban using starlight. You can't come in here and say i didn't. Because i did, and polix can verify, he knows. So, all this netbans work through the chat client is BS, obviously not as effectively as they work through the game. Because my game ban stuck.
