Protip: "Rep rep kami" is 'the' way to use your ship, as it is quite a bit more effective than hiding behind your lanc gunning (and face it, that's what you're doing at 20:0+ sprees). Also, this would slow down flaggames which is against the 'concept' Dr Brain (seems to) have, which is fast-paced flagging. And yes, it would slow down seeing as people would rather spree and milk than win. Also: If you're talking about centering sprees: those are already rewarded - the higher your bounty the more money you're making. Despite people claiming this was changed it still works this way. Try getting 500+ bounty in center at less than 10k exp and you'll get quite some cash.

http://i54.tinypic.com/sdji9g.png I got a little higher before but I think this isn't too bad

The matrix makes no sense. It's pretty much saying that if you're rushing on the defending team, you're doing it wrong. And also that if you're rushing on the attacking team when the enemy isn't winning, you're wrong. Care to explain? I always thought rushing was vital to victory in basing.

If I'm allowed to, as a mere jrmod, I guess I can use some /?shipitems magic to ensure players stick to the same ship setup.

Big words. How about I humiliate you in a jav duel sometime?

Except the good ones. And it feels like are copping out a bit by calling it a feature. Please, if you're going to claim giving people a death for almost dying (which, for the record, isn't actually dying!) is a feature just to prevent having to spend time fixing some bugs such as these.. What's next, calling HS' crashes a feature too? Edit: Also, I think you're forgetting that this system bugs out half the time. I've played in center in the early hours (at least for you guys abroad) in just one ship against a group of "newbies" without dying, and I even stayed in one ship, didn't go into safe (I rarely do that unless I have to type or something anyway) nor did I use or buy any items, and I still ended up with about 10 deaths for playing 15 minutes without dying. Sweet system.

I'm up for it. Also, this needs more publicity, should get an arena message like the 'old' league had to make everyone aware. I also assume that Warp as a whole can pretty much be signed up.

6 minutes seems a bit short to me. That would only work for remarkably unfair teams. Fair teams could well take 6 minutes without insane running skillz and such (Which I assume you are trying to prevent with this rule).

Detail that ruins this plan: Omni already quit. Also, Omni is a good player, particularly epic in jav.

Spidernl jav duels for vast sums of money.

I never intended to do this, by the way. Mainly because I want to try to build a new item set using existing resources. As far as I know there are no modules in HS that would easily allow me to automatically turn a duplicate item into a turret or something. Actually, I'd call powerplants "Reactors". Although that'll confuse people for a while, it should make sense eventually. You could also have reactor upgrades that take slots you could've also used for other items, but that would allow you to use more power-sucking versions of other item types. Reactors as they are now would be replaced by generators, which would also be modular. Increasing energy, recharge and such seperately.

Well ok, I kind of didn't think of that fact Also, threads like these weren't made before as very few people (who don't already know alot if not all of these things) actually read this forum, so nobody really bothered writing for those few who do.

My friend, that's already so well-known that we weren't even arguing about that. We were obviously arguing about who the second best player is.

If I have phaser, shredder or disruptor however, I can rape their lanc when I rush on top of it. If you're going to comment on bounce/non bounce for basing, atleast think of the use of higher dps non-bounce guns Also, I sort of have to laugh at the fact that you're posting tactics on the forum of a game in which you can hardly get 3 people to rush at the same time, let alone use STRATEGIES and TACTICS.
-
Your logic, however, does not apply to compression core. Following your logic, which is to dodge rather than absorb, Naquadah and Jedlik are both the "Absorb" type compared to Compression. Compression 4 most underestimated reactor in the game (Although my warbird has Jedlik ). Mind you, fusion is epic too.

Isn't being an assassin about killing your target? Ninja assassins are very good at killing their targets. People like Raw-Tard and also Sprinkle are often successful at killing a rabbit. Thus they are good candidates for a ninja assassin. So are most skilled (or semi-skilled) shredder users. If you have some weird concept of what a ninja assassin is, then I have no clue who that would be. Other than what Omni said, which is that basing really isn't as skillful as you seem to think it is, I have hardly seen Flying Dog Brew do anything spectacular. He is a decent lanc, but so are most well-equipped lancs who care about the flaggame and are not Playercontinuum or some other braindead retard. And my portaling in comment claiming I myself am the best lanc in HS was just some bullshitting, like 99% of this thread. Just in case you hadn't noticed. And claiming I'm no good as a lanc just shows that you have no idea what happens in this zone. First of all, I rarely play, and this reset I hardly play flag games in a serious way. If I do, however, I'm a good lanc rusher who'll clear the way for the rest of the team no problem (and leak if the enemy team is retarded enough to let a lanc do so), and if I'm not rushing, I won't go down easy as a back lanc. And sorry, I have yet to notice you in a flag game doing anything spectacular either. Please give me a shout when I'm online and you're gunning. I'd like to see what skillful base gunning is like. And about bombers not being up front: They ARE supposed to be right there. Particularly for the attackers, it is very important that a bomber takes any opportunity to get a few bombs to the enemy through a bombline. The bombs then scare off the silly move-back-whenever-they-lose-50-energy players on the enemy team, opening the way for your team to move in. BASING STRATEGY at its best.

No, I'll be nice and reply to your post. Funny thing is you keep insulting me, and claim my posts are unproductive, while you're the one just saying "What you are saying is false because you are retarded". Now, let's constructively reply to your post, unlike your replies to mine, eh? <_< About your system: 1) Correct, and I wish I could use a 100% automated system. 2) That's correct too, yay for you. 3) Correction: It can't even get scammed (realistically), as it makes more than it gives out over time. And $100 is generally not considered a scam in HS, just put in a 1000 exp or so check so fools can't go and continuously make new accounts. So you got that right too. 4) About as open as you decide to make it, yes, but you could just hide money stats and keep it working too, if necessary. Another correct point on your side. 5) Now that is where you are wrong. There is nothing beneficial about being able to put money into a bot and, over time, take a smaller amount of money out. And no, stop saying this isn't what the bot does, because looking at it over time that's all it does. You put in money, and take a part of what you put in out later. And the money "put in" I'm talking about here is the interest paid over loans, which always is above the money you take out to make it unscammable. About my system 1) Minus the parts that I'm hardly hacking it together - It's running on a fine bot core - and the fact that I have already told you of its other features before, which you probably ignored. So let me repeat: The bot will hold money for players, allow them to use one bank account for multiple HS accounts (Thus move money more easily) using a password system (if you want to, you can also just link it to your account and not use a password), pay interest to every player who has money on the bot whenever the bot profits from a loan, allow players to lock their money for up to 365 days if they think they'll spend it while they're trying to save, etc. 2) It isn't entirely like a bank, no, but I have yet to see a real-life bank that only allows a 100K loan if you put in 10-20 smaller loans that give them massive profit beforehand. Oh, and I know you'll reply about never seeing a bank in real-life that takes all the risk itself and lets the person taking a loan take 0% risk. I know, I know. Don't bother saying that. 3) I can get that money, don't worry mate 4) Which is why the system is manual. I am not going to give every random fool a massive loan right off the bat. Let 'em prove their trustworthiness with smaller ones first. They don't want smaller ones? Not my problem. 5) I'm quite trustworthy, whether you like that fact or not. I have paid most if not every sum of money I 'owed' people so far. Why would that change? 6) That's not really correct, but I do see what you mean. A better way to put it would be to say it's only beneficial to players I trust. There are quite a few people who I don't really like, but who will pay back money they owe to someone (or, in the bank's case, something).
-
Lol, you really did miss the point. There indeed is no point to not just holding onto the money with your bot concept, you got that right mr. Obvious. Now, please think about what I said before. Loans in HS are usually because a player really wants some item or setup really, really badly (Or just feels like scamming, which is a different story). They loan a semi-large amount and DON'T want to first take tiny loans for months before they can take such a loan. In short: they want to loan money that they don't have yet, not loan back money they paid the bot earlier. And don't start about scammability, my bot concept was partly manual, remember.
-
Update 6 months ago of HS Core. Also, you can't seriously be expecting players to "take a massive anti-ragequit pledge".
-
What, is that post actually serious? Best "ninja assassin" would be raw-tard or whoever rapes a rabbit by rushing it with shredder spam in a warbird. Duh. Just a fyi, the "best bomber" or "best gunner" spots should be taken by players who do not move back when the enemy tries to gain some ground. Doing that is utterly retarded and horribly annoying when you're rushing for a team with people in it who do that. Imagine you just rushed, took out 3-4 people and repped the enemy team back quite a bit, and one kid in the enemy team rushes forward and your own entire team moves back in panic <_< Also, "abuser of.." titles sound like a bit of QQ on your side. Best lanc is me, obviously, as I successfully port in and take the base at least once in every fg I play. Duh.
-
I'd take a reading course if I were you, I never asked for anything related to the actual loan system, and never even mentioned scamming through loans. Nice try, though. Indeed, you obviously lost as you didn't reply to the criticism I posted a little earlier. Thanks for playing. Personal insults. Now I've won the argument for sure Those illogical questions you mentioned were, just in case you really are bad at reading, just ironic and/or sarcastic remarks about your bank bot concept, which is built in such a way that it has exactly no use (Yeah, it's totally useful to spend 50k to get a 50k loan later on. Since when can you not just hold onto that 50k instead? It's much cheaper, as you don't even have to pay back that 50k..)
-
Time to reply to every bit.. Stop lying, thank you. I got the point, I just said the whole thing is useless. That's not the same thing you know. All of those are correct, which is why I don't work with an automated system. Now, anyone can figure out by looking at that table, that in order to loan say 50k, you'll have to put in (over) 50k beforehand as a player. That's a fact that you can't deny, which you did try many times in team chat. So can you explain to me again why the hell anyone would want to pay 50k in interest over the previous "steps" in order to get a 50k loan? They could as well just hold onto the 50k rather than losing money on purpose. Also, I'd call a bot that works out interest and such for me quite useful, definitely more useful than this. Unless, of course, you think saving up money by handing it over to a bot and then borrowing it later on is a good idea.
-
Yeah, it's going to give players 50% interest per minute.
-
So basically, I've been working on a bank bot for a while, and I'm working on a loan system. Now, I hope Lynx will post his nice little, non-working loaning system here. Gogo!
