Thanks for the info. I'd heard rumors about the great medical care being given to gitmo detainees, but was unsure if this was, in fact, true until now. So the gitmo detainees get great medical care. That's nice. But... was it their choice to give up their freedom and liberty and live in a prison for an extended, unspecified amount of time in exchange for great medical care while in prison? Would you voluntarily choose to go to prison for an extended, unspecified amount of time in exchange for great medical care while in prison? I sure wouldn't. I agree that this thread should be an interesting read. I freely state that I have no personal experience from down there. By the same token, I do not make any claim that I have firsthand experience with or firsthand knowledge of gitmo. -Aceflyer

Why is this? What gives you the moral authority to p!@#$%^&* such a judgment on people who "think that gitmo is evil and abortions are ok?" I don't even see how gitmo and abortions are related, beyond the facts that both are (at least somewhat) controversial issues and both are (very broadly speaking) human rights issues. Then what, pray tell, is this other side that you allege that PoL didn't mention?

Or look for an announcement at the SSC Forum or the MGB forums.
-
The news was clearly announced at the SSC Forum. But you weren't missed.
-
I pity you. Actually, we were using http://forums.sscentral.com/ - but small difference.

You might start by at least creating an account in Continuum.

What the heck is UGEIA? Ace

No, even worse... he's been living in real life.

L.C.'s post sums it up very nicely. Thanks L.C.!

I recommend using the directory server: auto.subdir.net auto.subdir.org for the reasons outlined in this thread.

I just changed it to be alot smaller. Let me know if you think this is acceptable. OpenCore and its plugins are hosted at http://www.greencams.net/ - I just felt it wouldn't be a bad idea to also have it archived in the 'Miscellaneous Applications' page at MERVBot.com, since after all that page has a lot of non-MERVBot-related stuff. But I will defer to your judgment; OpenCore and its plugins have been removed from the site. oops not that i dont know why i said that i ment the lottery thing I don't think there's a lottery plugin available at MERVBot.com... but if someone has a MERVBot lottery plugin they'd like to have archived on MERVBot.com, they'd be more than welcome to send it to me or RiiStar.

Sweet, that works. Thanks dude.

I was wondering how to add a link to my zone's website in the Web Links & News panel... (In Continuum, if you click on "Web Links & News," certain zones, like SSCU Trench Wars, SSCC Metal Gear CTF, etc., have links to their websites/forums below ...)

Heh I see.

Unless you wish to argue that Bristol Palin and Sarah Palin wanted to get pregnant when they did (and if you argue this, then it shows that they both clearly lack common sense), then clearly their pregnancies were accidents caused by a lack of use of reliable contraception. In either case my statement is valid. "Most likely" was clearly a qualitative personal opinion based on reported facts pertaining to the incident. Obviously the official report has not been issued yet. There was no attempt to "sex-up or demonise" anything. And there is no need to patronize me. That the wolves and bears in question posed a public safety threat to Alaskans is unsupported speculation. Unless you wish to provide sources backing this up. And again there is no need to patronize me. If you do not agree that fixing a failing school system is more important than aerial hunting of wolves and bears, then that is an opinion that you are free to hold. She clearly has consistently supported increasing the exploitation of Alaska's nonrenewable energy resources - even invoking God's name in reference to a natural gas pipeline project. You could, theoretically, hold white supremacist ideals and still hold office if you can get enough people to vote for you. As for 'redneck', that is clearly a qualitative judgment. Unless you wish to argue that Palin was lying or being insincere in that address (and there is no evidence that Palin was lying or being insincere), it must be !@#$%^&*umed that she, in fact, did agree with what she said. -Aceflyer

Good luck. Although I'm sure you won't need it. I <_< GRE

Thanks Sama. May I recommend using FlagBot (7.5) instead, though?

More breaking news: it seems that Palin tapped state funds meant to be used for official travel for more than 300 nights she spent at home [1]. While her actions are arguably legal, they do imply a certain lack of scruples on her part, perhaps.
-
How come I'm about the only person here who gets asked for sources? Maybe it's because I usually provide comprehensive references, but couldn't be bothered to do so this time? <_< Anyhow... Point 1): Palin's fifth pregnancy [1] and daughter Bristol's out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy at 17 [2] are established facts. From these facts it is not difficult to infer that Palin is either opposed to reliable contraception (which would have prevented both her fifth pregnancy, which resulted in a Down baby, and her daughter's out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy), or lacks common sense (since it's a bad idea, due to medical reasons, to get pregnant (especially for the fifth time) in your 40s, and it's a bad idea, due to numerous reasons, to get pregnant out-of-wedlock at 17). Point 2): Palin is under investigation for possibly being corrupt [3],[4]. New Point: Palin is opposed to abortion even in cases of rape or incest. [5] Meh, I'll finish the rest later.

Whilst it is true that a not insignificant portion of the conservative right dislikes Senator John McCain, it is also true that the same people who dislike McCain will still devotedly race to the polls and vote for the McCain-Palin ticket when faced with the possibility of an Obama presidency. And it is also true that McCain's positions are, overall, much more similar to President George W. Bush's positions than Obama's positions are. Notably, these are the main points which make me disinclined to support the McCain-Palin ticket: McCain's strong, unwavering support for the Iraq war. It should be clear by this point that the war was a colossal error. However, McCain refuses to acknowledge this, just like President George W. Bush has refused to acknowledge this. McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his VP candidate. (See "Palin" thread for details on this.) McCain's opposition to contraception itself, as well as the promotion of contraception. He favors President George W. Bush's abstinence-focused policies. Also, read this link for a fun laugh. McCain's opposition to Roe. Seriously, I, at least, am so tired of seeing Republicans' unceasing efforts to overturn Roe.

Let's see... She's opposed to reliable contraception (either that or she seriously lacks common sense). Reference: her fifth pregnancy, in her 40s, and her daughter's out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy at 17. She's most likely politically corrupt. Reference: Troopergate incident. She has worked tirelessly as a lifetime NRA member to allow indiscriminate hunting of wildlife in Alaska. She's spent millions of dollars of (Alaska) state funds on aerial hunting of wolves and bears, dollars that should have been spent on, for example, Alaska's failing school system. She is a strong supporter of increased fossil fuel use, having consistently supported drilling in the ANWR, use of coal-burning power plants, strip mining, etc. The most accurate description of her is "redneck". She is a religious ultraconservative. According to her, U.S. forces are in Iraq on a "task that is from God." ^^ In no particular order.
-
Agreed. I figure Palin's family must be opposed to contraception, seeing as how Palin herself has had 5 children, her latest child coming in her 40's, and her daughter got pregnant, at 17, out-of-wedlock (which, intriguingly, isn't something ultraconservatives should like all that much). I'm not so sure I respect Palin all that much given all this.

No, I found out about the parole before you brought it up. Did you not realize that there is a way that a banned player can be legitimately allowed into a zone without the player's ban being lifted? I have never claimed to represent the Council in any manner.
-
I didn't deem them worth responding to. What politics? All I see is a rather large pile of steaming bull!@#$%^&* from some people with waaaay too much time on their hands. Also, haven't I already stated before multiple times that I'm not a Council rep? You even have a quote from me in your own signature to that effect. I saw a post that, although not really a great post by any stretch, was at least worth responding to. Yes, that post was Lynx's post. The ban was never gone. I merely cancelled your parole for the time being, until cg and I have a chance to talk about why she paroled you to begin with.
