Well... it might be ZA (I haven't heard of others having problems with ZA but I guess there could be some strange mix of programs on your computer that is causing problems). Might be anything, really.
Also, note that you do not need to use the SS palette at all. In fact, you can also use 24-bit tilesets if you use special programs to save the map (SSME will not open such a map).
Very strange. Since you know enough to list the specs, I assume you have the latest drivers, yes? You can try turning VSync off, it might help. Try killing off any background programs - maybe some of them is doing something nasty. And can totally confirm the nVidia > ATI thing... I miss my GeForce
This is a known problem. No definite solution exists, sorry. If you have tried everything else suggested on the board... well, only a stroke of luck might help you, I guess.
Actually I was not implying that PriitK was stupid or anything, I was saying that he's not stupid and that there's no real difference at runtime. But I guess my wording sucked.
What are your ping times to zones? Does this happen to every zone? Try downloading some random zones with weird names and test. If you have a firewall, try disabling it.
If you used the run as solution, errors are normal. It only sometimes works. As for when this will be fixed... I have no idea if it ever will. The only person who can fix this has not been seen for years by the general public.
Basically, you can't change the e-mail for security reasons. And nobody will ever need to know or use any other pieces of the registration information anyway, so that's pretty meaningless (I have no idea why it's still kept in the game - nobody fills it in anyway...). You can't change or view that either.
This is a known problem and there is no good solution to this. You can check the FAQ topic about this for some advice but it does not work for everybody.
Every since you tried to repel, it always does it, every moment you are playing? I doubt this was because of the repel. My guess is that some other program on your computer captured the shift+control key and then started running/doing something. Entered some mode that messes up the screen. You can try playing in windowed mode. I am fairly certain that it should not happen in that mode, no matter what it is.
Right now, the foundation of the game is being worked on. Things like these come later But, well, say your ideas about input, networking, sound and graphics as well if you have them
Might the VM be messing with INT3? Continuum itself uses the debugging interrupt for normal execution, so if the VM tries to override or disable it, Continuum won't run. Also, how does Continuum terminate? At what address? Does it simply not load? Or does it give an error?
