  2. Good news and bad News. Bad First:I don't have the cd rom for my graphics card to update with. Good News:The demo_noVBO version worked. It had an average fps of (Get ready to cry)....8. Crashed when i maxamized. Good work though. Also, if i were to get a graphics card, what would i need to run the better version and what would you suggest.
  3. Same thing as creamy i believe. I get this far on the commandprompt: SubSpace II Init: GLFW Driver: Microsoft Corporation Version: 1.1.0 while this happens "The continuum project - pre alpha .1 opens. It turns white and gives me this error: EventType : clr20r3 P1 : subspace2.engine.exe P2 : 1.0.2919.42340 P3 : 4776d8c9 P4 : tao.opengl P5 : 2.1.0.4 P6 : 463c3cb2 P7 : 207 P8 : a P9 : system.nullreferenceexception with the usual error reporting thing looking like this: subspace2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. i'm windows xp dell. intel celeron. not sure how to find the graphics card information..although i know it isn't that great.
  4. I mean that i'm going to use a "standard monitor cable" and connect it to a special port in my tv. My current monitor cable can't disconnect from my monitor, just from my computer so i need to get a new one.
  5. Ok thank you admiral for that long post. Now, i've sord of changed my mind. Given i don't have some super duper computer anyways, i don't really think i need a hd monitor. I don't play video games anyways. Therefore I have decided to go for the RGB (VGA) Cable connector. I found this at office depot. Thank you!
  6. Well Lt., as far as what i want is obviously a card with a DIV Port and just like what you said, the best i can afford. Any thing i should have with my Video Card? Suggestions? I Foundthis card at best buy Right one?
  7. Yes i do want it in HD for sure, but this is the first time EVER connecting tv to pc so it's not like i'm upgrading from anything. Any suggestions on Video Cards?
  8. Ok ty. Looks like i'll be buying a new video card.
  9. I'm looking into connecting my pc to my new hdtv. I've done some research and found the best way to do this is by connnecting HDMI (tv) to a DVI slot (pc). I was wondering if anyone could give some basic info on their experiences with this or if they just know about it. Also, i'm having trouble finding out if my video card supports DVI so if someone could direct me in how to find that out. Thank You.
  10. sweet i got it working.
  11. I vote for either xml or custom.
  12. How do i upload my files into root/client?
  13. I've done a little research on interfaces and learned that theres two main interfaces. Sequential Interface - Giving the user options one at a time. This is used when you need certain information first in order to complete certain tasks. I think this is what doc was talking about. Event Driven - Most modern interface, used in most applications. You give the user many options (ex. - menuitems toolbar buttons) and execute code based on that event. Now for my opinion: I'm not gonna lie, but i like doc's idea a lot more than sampapicos idea. First, it's what i imagined as well for the start up screen and that's how i started to make the start screen already. Second, the idea sampaico had i don't like in any application. It makes me feel limited to my options. I'll get the basis of my idea implemented in my program and attach it in a few. frontend.zip
  14. got it working. Now how do we other stuff as update with MY files (my "branch" i think you called it) and stuff.
  15. Actually, if you have devc++, theres a decent tutorial in the help menu. (along the top). As for a reference msdn works well. Let me find you a link....here you go.Look in the node tree for more orginized and logical setup. I just googled "C language" and "C language keywords".
  16. same here ^^
  17. Silly Question:is windowsxp 64-bit? how would i know? if mine is or not?
  18. Most people use dev-C++. There are plenty of other options, the main one bein microsoft visual c++ but that costs money and is more heavy of an application(memory). The biggest way i learned was spending time looking at other people's modules (pretty much smong since he has the most public modules). I would also look at some tutorials as well so that you make sure you have the necesities needed to make a module run right. P.S. thank you for the "non-noob" and "professional" like post. If you use aim i could answer some questions along the way.
  19. Well, i'm sure this was thought of before but here may be a way to tell if someone is autocloaking or just fast with pressing buttons. I'm not sure, but autocloak will probably ALWAYS immediately cloak after EVERY shot. Therefore you could watch the suspicious player, and if after one shot he does not immediately go back to cloak you know he doesn't have autocloak.
  20. Maybe we could ask Bjorn about his project. Maybe even use it :/.
  21. what does "view the contents of the error report" say? You do have .net framework installed right?
  22. well i think i'm gonna start on the start screen, any preferences or something to shoot at me?
  23. anyone else sign up?
  24. i noticed it and didn't like it so i said change it.
