    Shark

A Shark can usually only cloak through a team if the base game isn't huge. Otherwise, there's always bullets coming at you.
  5. Hyperspace is a very hard zone. It takes a lot of work to get upgrades. I feel that you are actually always getting rewarded for your hard work, unless you are one of those that just sit in a base leeching off team rewards. People probably do this because it's the easiest way to get things, and you barely earn your stuff this way, when other players try so hard to gain money by centering and get left out of the easy basing game. I really want a few things done with HS: - Bases with more open space. JoWie's current base 6 or Burglary's current base 4 are good examples. Besides base 6 having a powerful bombline, the gameplay in them is nice. With open bases, the base isn't "rigged for the defenders", like Arnk says. - Item spam. It really is nice without the repels and bursts and repels and bursts. But the constant thoring is pretty bad. A few solutions to this is to put more thor proofs in bases, sell thors only at Scrap & Salvage (While adding more capacity), or increasing price of thors. - Terrier nerf - Shark has hardly any item choices. I wish it could get a few signatures. - Plasma Cannon nerf - EMP upgrade, I think EMP lasts for about 2 seconds, or whatever it is, it isn't effective enough. Weasel and Shark might as well not buy a bomb, since a Shredder Warbird can still spam bullets at you while EMP'ed, and win. - Fields cost a lot, and I have seen them last for about 5 seconds for 1.2K. I think if they got a cut in price (not cutting the price on field generator), they would be more effective and less of a waste of money. I wouldn't like to see field spam though. - Bricks are just about worthless. They cost a lot, and end up not even dropping a useful direction. I would actually LIKE to see a lot of bricks, with longer lasting brick alive time. At least 20 second bricks, to give the team enough time to notice the brick and take action.

    Shark

Don't know. I don't think its size justifies that it does not deserve sigs... its price should say that it gets a good item set, but it doesn't. Barely any item choices on the shark...
  7. If you are having rotation problems, get maneuvering fins and inertial damper if you can. Put your items in a code tag, it's way easier to read that way +------------------+ | Spider | +------------------+-------+--------+-----------------------------------------------------+ | Item Name | Count | Ammo | Item Types | +------------------+-------+--------+-----------------------------------------------------+ | Pulse Laser | 1 | 2197 | Gun | | Defense Mount | 1 | | -15 Bullet Burst, Mount, -20 Repeller | | G-Ammo | 2197 | | Gun Ammo | | B-Ammo | 60 | | Bomb Ammo | | Cloak Shaper | 1 | | Addon | | Inertial Damper | 1 | | Emitter | | Tokamak | 1 | | Reactor | | Nuclear Booster | 1 | | Sublight Drives | +------------------+-------+--------+-----------------------------------------------------+ Still looks funky, though

  9. Man, people need to learn how to use the ignore features all over continuum. It's on these forums too, right?
  10. I found this in my Continuum folder. exception.log. It was 2.72GB's. What is this, and why is it in my continuum folder. I asked someone else, they said they have the same thing, only that it's only a few KB. Of course, I already deleted this huge file. I think my computer might start working now. I use a Windows 98, which has about 10 GB. This can't be only me.
  11. I'd like to see Terriers get a minor recharge nerf. None of its other stats seem too powerful. The Terrier currently has almost all high stats, except for rotation, which isn't much of an impact if it's low or high.
  12. It will start bringing up the question "How'd I get that much money?" if people use it. It really doesn't seem like a huge issue to me, and I feel that making the kill reward messages toggle-able will just bring up different issues. Also, if it isn't possible already, I think normal players should be able to check their ?money -d.
  13. I'm hoping that for basing, just new bases that are wider open will fix the basing issue. Basing will probably last a lot longer if the attackers always have some sort of chance.

  15. I think the server change has had the biggest impact, people don't know how to get back into HS.
  16. I like basing without the massive thor spam, and other item spam. I don't like how the defenders will always win just because they are in the back of the base. I suggest that Repels and Bursts are made more powerful. More Repel distance, push, and time. More burst bullets. This way, those who go out of their way to buy the Repels and Burst can actually be useful. This is like when the bricks were made 1-time use. They weren't very great until the life span of them was increased. Making it cheaper isn't always the best way to solve something. One negative I've noticed lately is the amount of robotic rocket Spiders that do the same task over and over: Rocket, spam Plasma Cannon, suicide, repeat. I think Plasma Cannon aught to at least take more ammo, It's L3 Multifire Bounce. Quite a good deal for the user, but I don't think they deserve to spam it around center over the poor ships. I don't have so much of a problem with Spiders rocketing, it's how they spam the gun everywhere and don't seem to have to pay for it. Another point about basing, is that I hope bases are going to be opened up more. There's gonna be less item spam. If bases are opened up a bit more, we can have a little more progress and a fun flag game. It should be challenging for the attackers if the defenders are good, not if the defenders have that tight squeeze.

    hi

    LOL
  18. It's a hassle to spend $100 every now and then? Don't like running out of ammo in base? Then stock up on them. You can have up to 10 Bomb Ammo/Gun Ammo packs... that will keep you going for quite a while. If you think that it's expensive to buy it all at once, it isn't... it will all cost the same in the end. Just buy it all at once if necessary. Also, before we start thinking it has ruined the zone, why not wait longer than a few days after the change before making !@#$%^&*umptions. It may all work out, it may not. I think it'll work out.

Ammo system I suggested would probably be simpler than buying your ammo all the time. All you do on my system is buy additions to max ammo.
  21. Firefox is always slowing way down if I ever leave it idle for too long, like 5 minutes. Pretty annoying, takes about 1 minute to get back on pace.

Maybe so, but the system likely hasn't been planned to be put up like this. Would it be a good idea to have a system like how I suggested? Opinions?

I think there is supposed to be an ammo system soon, where you gotta buy your ammo to use weapons and stuff. But. That gets expensive. I was thinking, when you kill people, that they start dropping greens. Pick up the green, and restore a bit of your ammo for Gun or Bomb, depends on your luck. But, not enough that you can keep your ammo at max all the time. I understand that having greens be dropped MAY mess with the item system, but I'll cover that in a sec. In-Depth for weapon refill drops... Let's say you're a Warbird with Pulse Laser. Max of 100 ammo, or 100 shots. You spend about 20 shots to kill another Javelin. It happens to drop a green, you rush over and pick it up before somebody else does, and end up getting +10 Bullet Ammo. If you also have a bomb, you have a 50% chance of getting some bomb ammo instead. This will mean that long-range fighters, like TacNukers, will have to go without refilling their Bomb Ammo very often by this method. Close-range fighters, like Warbirds and Javelins, will be able to head over and pick up their ammo drop, and refill a little. Now, eventually, your ammo will drain, even if you try to pick up every ammo drop you can get. Which is why I suggest this: Weapon Recharge Stations around center. If you go inside, you sit in the safe zone for 20 seconds and get more ammo over time. I'd say to leave 2 recharge stations in center, not TOO hard to get to, but not too easy, either. Ammo Buy-ables, As Converters Bullet Ammo Tank, and Bomb Ammo Tank (Forgive me if I am forgetting that there may be other types of ammo in the zone). Buy these, and get higher maximum capacity for your ammo. $10,000 for a +50 Bullet Ammo Tank, and $15,000 for a +20 Bomb Ammo Tank, etc. This way, you can choose which kinds of converters you will use the most. I wouldn't want to only be able to have +50 Bullet Ammo, and no Extra Utility though. I mean: You can have a max of 3 Bullet/Bomb Tanks, which are in a category "Ammo Converter" instead of normal old Converter. Some people just really suck at aiming. Should they have to pay for it by buying more and more ammo? I wouldn't like that as a starter. I'd head to some other zone. All they have to do to refill their ammo is to sit in a Recharge Station for a bit, then head back out and try to kill! In the case that greens are not a possible way to pick up ammo, what about: - Small graphic, fly over it and get your ammo. - No pick-ups. Instead, you may or may not automatically get a small ammo refill for making a kill. - Have no pick-ups. Only Recharge Stations. I realize I may be way before the time of Ammo here, but hey, just a suggestion.
