Nice !@#$%^&*umption but I think you are pontificating because there are unknown number of genocide victims still being found in northern Iraq, and only Saddam himself and few others will know how many that is. Any country is in danger of terrorist attacks when the enemy hates what you stand for. It's more about that than it is about what has been done since 2003. Or did you decide to forget every terrorist action that has happened to the US prior to 2000? Muslim extremists hate Christians and despise Americans because of money. Iraq would have been more of a success if other counties were not so weak in the knees. Action taken by the US leaves terrorists running and hiding. Homeland security attempts to ensure that another attack doesn't happen, but there is no guarantee. Of course, there is no guarantee that terrorism won't happen in any other country as it has in place like Ireland, Philipines, and Sudan for more than two or three decades. People go on. It appears that anti-US people would rather side with terrorists. Go for it dude. Enjoy your cave.

X, there is something about the voting process you should know. I spoke to Polix to try to understand how I missed the vote on general when I was leading, and how I narrowly got it with a tie on political. Polix made two major errors in the voting process: First, the original end of the vote was written down as being Noon Tuesday. He changed it and made it Monday when it suited him best. Second, Polix let me know that he spammed the ss chats that he subscribes to. Since I do not subscribe to any of them those mods who subscribe to them did the best because they were known. You lost X because things were changed which benefitted specific people. Polix may not have desired it to be that way, but that is what happened. This is why I chose to step down: Polix didn't analyze the situation well. I can't work in that capacity.

Dav, was the cold war started by neo-conservatives? Are these just people from America? Could you look up NATO, post WWII communist bloc militaristic buildup in the Eastern European sector, Berlin, and some factual history. Sighting that one source is one thing, but how about going against multiple sources and looking for reasons why the cold war started. No we don't know what would have happened if we did nothing other than we can assume that Saddam would have continued killing Kurds in the north, and building up forces and testing the no fly zone against Kuwait. Yes the CIA missed the ball on WMDs, but the US didn't miss the ball in preventing Saddam from acquiring them. If you read the events leading up to the US decision to hit Iraq, you will see that negotiations no longer worked, Saddam continued to make excuses. The goal of Operation Desert Storm was accomplished in full. Removing Saddam from Kuwait. Perhaps you are suggesting that we should have killed him 15 years ago? Isn't that completely contrary to what you just said...negotiate? The truth of the matter is that neither you nor I would know what Saddam would have done had he remained in power, but we do know that he had a history of tyranny against Kurds, Kuwaities, Israelites, and even his own people and that he had intention of killing anything that didn't agree with him and his sons.

If this is no problem to you, then I urge you to donate fruitfully everything you got, earned, and received to charities for the poor.
