  5. Most kids think they know or knew more than most adults do. But there is a reason that the voting age is...wait...18...not...8... Back on topic: Bin Laden = alive. gd nub. needz to die. werd.
  6. Ok so a do!@#$%^&*ent, only partially release by democrats, only the part to behoove their argument, not saying this is bad, because every side does it, says that the war in Iraq is fueling terrorism. As I do agree that our shortcomings have been a rallying point, some democrats and a few republicans have said that if we pull our troops out now it would help. I think that is the worst thing we can do. If terrorists are rallying saying that we're having such problems in Iraq, the second we pull out they will promote "See we defeated them in Iraq! We can defeat them anywhere!" I personally think, no matter how poorly the war has been fought as of now, we need to finish what we started in Iraq.
  7. I want to hear an opinion about a question I asked myself just recently. All of the blame is being construed onto president bush, but do you believe that it is mostly President Bush's fault? The fault of his advisors/appointees? or a joint endeavour.

  10. The problem with your opinions is that they are biased opinions. When Bill clinton came into office you were 6 years old. When he left office you were 14 years old. I'm sorry, but at 6 years old you cannot accurately have any political knowledge. Even most 14 year olds have minor political knowledge. The fact that you have experienced at least some political knowledge on the Bush administration, and try to compare it to second hand knowledge of president clinton that just contains bias. Unless you have fully studied the clinton administration, then I apologize, but I gather that you have not, being there was a lot more controversy to his terms in office than just that cigar. During clintons tenure in office, for which I was actually a voter for, he had his share of issues. You cannot get impeached for sleeping with an intern in the oval office. There was a much larger scandal involved. The wall street journal did a survey ranking all of the presidents back in 2005, and clinton was ranked in the bottom quarter of presidency and considered below average. His overall public opinion was not that he was a good president. But I'm not here to degrade him. He has come, he has gone. And as for Bush, let the poor man finish out his last years without every democrat in the world trying to degrade him at every corner. He can't get back into office, so why must you keep pointing out his shortcommings? Everyone, and I mean everyone in the whole gd world knows his shortcommings. The democrats are just using the fact that he is a republican, and if they can bury him in enough shame then that will sway the global opinion of republicans. Which it seems to be working. I am by no means pro bush, if he were up for election today, I'd vote down with him, but I wouldn't vote against him just for the sake of voting against him either. The democrats need to focus more on providing a solid candidate than throwing dirt. It backfired in their last election with Kerry. They have some good possibilites that might be running, focus on them more than the presidents shorcommings. I'm not saying not to criticize and that is a cons!@#$%^&*utional right, but doing it incessantly is just uncalled for. But back on track, if we want to discuss this further, please open a "Bush vs. Clinton" thread and we'll continue there. As for Bin Laden, He's slippery. I don't personally think they've got him. He's got enough money to run and hide for a very long time. So until I see his head on cnn news I won't believe it. As a side note: I don't mean to degrade you astro for being young, or not saying that you do not know anything, even concerning the clinton administration, but I was very politically active during that time, and know much about his administration and when a blanket statement comes out saying that his only major problem was with an intern it gets me worked up.
  11. Oh his reasons for invading iraq were perfectly strategic. They just backfired mighty well against him. Bush launched this enourmous campaign into afghanistan to get Bin Laden. When he started he had the full and total support (or at least as much as you can) from the american people to find Bin Laden and do dasterdly things to him. But what Bush thought would be a fairly easy campaign...well kinda ended up turning into one !@#$%^&* of a goose chase, and the American people were starting to get restless. So what is a Bush to do? Well just a decade ago, his father launched the Persian Gulf war into Iraq which being his father was a much better politician, had the majority of Americas support. So to try to save face with his people, and a little pride, he tried to finish what daddy started over a decade ago. The problem is, Bush sr. as stated was a much better politician. If Bush had gone into iraq at the right time, and had done things right, and come out successful, he would not be criticized for the war in iraq. The problem is, that a good part of what bush has been doing has some reason behind it, but every plan seems to backfire on him and put him in worse and worse shape. To the point now that he can't seem to dig himself out. And honestly, just wait til the next guy is in office, or the guy after him is in office. When president clinton was in office, he finished his tenure with about the same public support that Bush has, except he was in the midst of an impeachment hearing. Now that he's out of office, people are like "yeah he was a good president" when if you had asked them while he was president it was "Man he's terrible! When's the next election!?" Now I'm not trying to argue who was a better president, because thats just pure insanity to try to argue. As it is merely 100% opinion. But you just don't see anything but the anti-Bushism so its easy to jump on the bandwagon with it. But hey, he did get re-elected into office, by a decent margin. And his approval rating even for the war in iraq has been steady around 40% for the last 8 months or so. Now its dropping a little more tho. The biggest problem I see with american politics is party lines. Nowadays, not just young people, are too caught up on party lines. My fiance's mother is a democrat, and refuses to vote for republicans. Her neighbor that she had known for 25 years and were great friends ran for some government position, and she refused to vote for him based solely on the fact that he was republican. Something like that is just uncalled for. If I'm gd voting, and I like a democrat, then I vote for one. If I like a republican, then I vote for one. Just because I am a registered republican, does not mean I only vote for my own party.

  22. I don't think removing north base is going to have any effect on the current population, as you have stated noone uses it anymore. Thusly by removing it (not saying its a bad or good idea) it won't effect the population, or gameplay, because as of now its just decoration. Noone goes up there, so I don't expect this to help out with gameplay or population.

  25. I don't know who's posts you have been reading, I have been respectful, and I may be criticizing their means, but I have in no way insulted the Muslim people or their religion. And I don't know what limb you're trying to walk out on, but I have never implied that it was more than small percentage of Muslims. I do believe that my statement covered this, but how much more specific would you like me to be? Do I have to start quoting percentages like doc? Or would you then yell at me for that too? I just don't know what you're trying to prove, maybe you could clear that up for me.
