British Airways Worker Suspended for Wearing a Cross
NBVegita replied to 1587200's topic in General Discussion
Its not a debate when the person interviewing you, twists your words til he makes a statement he likes, then when you try to make a rebuttle pulls the "oh well we're out of time, thanks for you time" and cuts you off the air. And US = united states. And for our, for anyone who is an american citizen, it is OUR country. And I'd really like to see an article without any political bias. If you show me one, I'll immediately stop my debate on this topic. -
British Airways Worker Suspended for Wearing a Cross

You are way too judgemental. All news has a political lean. Read your articles on the bbc that you post. Everyone just loves to pick on the united states because we're easy to hate. Just last night I watched fox news for over 2 hours and all they did was interview and bash republicans. From campaign issues, to the war, to global and home land policies. Oh and maybe they could have attacked Rush a bit more. Not one republican walked away from the show not looking like an !@#$%^&*, and not one democrat walked away looking like one. Fox news is by no means leaning towards one side or the other. On each issue they might take a side. Isreal it was the "right wing" this time seems to be "left" But if they were your "Christian/Republican/Patriot propoganda channel" then why would they tear apart their "own party" on national television? Oh wait I'm sure this is just a huge conspiracy by the republican party to make the masses think that fox isn't in their pocket when it really is...because a few weeks before election its common knowledge that every party tries to break their creidbility on such issues on national tv, as much as possible...!@#$%^&* those sly republicans what will they think of next? And for our exposure of Isreal, that was simple politics. Isreal = US ally. Hezbollah, since the early 80's has been backed by Iran (not on the best terms with us). Since the early 80's Hezbollah has conducted suicide bombings of western states, along with creating "hostage taking cells" designed to do nothing but take western hostages. "The party's rhetoric calls for the destruction of the state of Israel. It regards the whole of Palestine as occupied Muslim land and it argues that Israel has no right to exist." ...oh wait so they think our ally has no right to exist... And dispite U.N. resolution 1559 calling for the evactuation of foreign forces and demilitarization of malitias in lebanon in 2004 they still haven't. Then they kidnap two soldiers from isreal, and even if isreal killed civilians, use radical means in attacking isreal. And there is that age old debate that if your military personel will hide in civilian areas, and hide/launch weapons from that area that the civilians of that area are no longer safe under the rules of war. Of course they're not going to get the same respect that an ally would in our news. -
The same mindless switches that fall to peer pressure. Perfect example my brother. The first alcoholic beverage he had in his entire life (minus a sip of champagne on new years) was at my house a month before he turned 21. And even then he was petrified that someone would find out and he'd get in trouble. Since turning 21, he's become quite the drinker. A lot of guys I grew up with, the only reason why they only drank or did pot was either A) they couldn't find anything harder or Once they finally found it, they didn't have the money to dish out for it. Now you make it accessable and cheap. How do you not expect the use of it to increase? The reason why pot is such a huge drug in the country, and with our youth, is because everyone knows a guy who sells pot and its cheap. If cocaine was cheap and easy to come by, that would be the drug of america. So lets not make any of that happen.

I drink socially as is my right. I don't do drugs because they're not my choice. Same with smoking. If you want to do them, thats your business. My belief is that another, or multiple bad substances, which they are, should not be induced legally into our society that already has a substance abuse problem, with legal and non legal drugs. Notice how you have to be 18 just to buy sudafed in our country. At least in this state. It just a fact that they're all bad. Making drugs legal would do nothing but royally !@#$%^&* up our country. I mean !@#$%^&* drinking and driving is one of, if not the leading cause of death. Now you m!@#$%^&* produce a ton of other mind altering drugs...do you plan to ban driving all together? At least if you have drugs on you now you'll think twice bout driving !@#$%^&*ed up cause if you get pulled over thats jail time. But !@#$%^&* if its legal cmon now. I could go on for hours on how bad it would be but its just not worth the time. Instead I restate my thesis: Marijuanna, or drugs in general for that matter, will never be made legal unless there is evidence, that cannot be reputably disputed, that there would be a major positive influence to our country to do so. And even if you get the positive proven, then all someone has to do is reputably produce a major negative and there it goes again. Unless the positive activly out weighs the negative.

If you're looking for softer go with stone sour. Awesome band, the lead singer for slipknot and their guitarist actually started with stone sour, and just went back to them back in 01 or 02 to produce some albums. If you'll listen to slipknot then you can't mistake their presence in stone sour.

These things are quite easy to pull together. You don't need to wait for the upper staff to get involved fruity. It's all about networking. Taking initiative. BE THAT GUY MAN!

Yeah screaming so your voice rasps into a microphone != singing lol I do like a bunch of metal, but it has to be coherent.

I would more likely go with drivers. Sometimes even when you install drivers they don't install correctly. You can try to update all of your drivers, but I would guess they're all up to date. I had a similar bug in an online game, but it was a graphics bug. Every time I would tick out of the game it would screw up my gfx to no end. I never used to have the prob til I reformatted and then it started messing up. I tried a lot of things and the only time it finally stopped was the next time I reformatted and of course had to reinstall all of the drivers from scratch. So I guess try to update/ all of your drivers, I don't believe re-installing cont would help, but reformatting might. When was the last time you had a reformat? And is it really worth it to play cont?

What I'm laughing at is that if the guy doesn't even know what C2S is, he obviously isn't uploading a file to a zone. Specially being he isn't staff either lol

And the fact that he cannot connect to continuum helps keep him away

Well actually there could be a huge culture gap. One example is a big radio stations here does an "over london" segment where all they do is play rock from that area. All of the bands they play are huge over there. Everyone I know here is like...wtf... Not saying its bad, just not my cup of tea. The problem is everyone in america and their brother has a band. So when you have thousands of bands, and only so much air time, its better to play what the majority of people will listen to, suppose to catering to when the minority listens too. !@#$%^&* if I ran a radio station, and all of my profits are based on how many people would listen to my station, !@#$%^&* I'd do the same !@#$%^&* thing.

rock on! do it up man lol

I think those statements are pretty !@#$%^&* ignorant. Just because something is mainstream doesn't mean that you don't actually like it. It doesn't make it worse music just because it is mainstream. I do agree that some of the underground bands have a good sound and make good music. !@#$%^&* my favorite band, The Lostprophets, were an awesome underground band that is now working into the mainstream. But just liking something because it is not mainstream is just like liking it because it is mainstream. There is a whole mainstream for underground music. Its like how years ago hot topic was the store for the kids who "don't fit the mainstream" now it is the mainstream. My opinion, if you like how the music sounds, rock on. Doesn't matter if you listen to Mic!@#$%^&*e Branch, Megadeath, DMB or (insert random band name here). If you like it, doesn't matter if its mainstream, a classic or something not many people know about.

If they were reasonable in price I'd debate on getting one for my fiance. But for children, they make an awesome present. Or for those of you who are still children at heart.

rofl at the uploading a file to the zone, or the putfile command lol

you know reading this has given me the best laugh I've had in a while. Making all of the drugs legal so that people will buy lots of them really cheap of the government and od. Best idea of the century! rofl. First off, people would still buy it from dealers because of quality. Yeah miss "i don't have 2 penny's to rub together and am on welfare" will buy that heroin from the government, but cocaine and heroin are rich drugs. Think of most of the od's you've heard of from actors, actresses and musicians in the past 3 decades. And I'll give you a hint, it wasn't alcohol or pot. The rich people, who already have the money to do this !@#$%^&* would still do it through the dealers that they can get the best stuff regardless of price. Now I'm not saying that those drugs are limited to just rich society, as many many poor people also use them. And for clinics? Rofl again. Go to any hospital across the country and tell them you need help, and they will either have, or locate for you a rehabilitation center. The problem with drug users is they never think they have a problem. If you shoot up three times a day, you don't think you have a problem, its just "how you get down". "Sure, I could quit any time I want" I believe is a smokers golden line. I don't believe the problem is not being able to get help, its actually knowing/wanting to get help. And making it legal and having the government call it an illness would...wait...have no effect on the public opinion! Well everything his a minor effect. If the government tomorrow launched a campaign saying that drinking alcohol is an illness, and opened hundereds of rehabilitation centers, I don't think there would be any stock holders running to sell their stock of Anheiser Bush. And who do you think has to foot the bill for all of those people you'd let od? When they od, they get rushed to the hospital. If they die, or if they don't, the low end spectrum, which would be the majority of your client base, don't have the money to pay for that, who pays for that? The government does. And guess who pays the government that money that they're giving that hospital for helping that junkie? Oh wait, its your mom, your dad, and most of you who would be paying for it. No thanks I'll pass

lol no worries tiq, never thought you were serious
