  1. Well at least you've finally come to your senses.
  2. And my professor has said that given any language he chooses, based on the job, he would rather use haskell. Because that is his opinion, and he has his phd in fundamental languages, focus: haskell. And none of us got upset about that. Funny how not even creemy got upset, just you. I'm sorry that expressing my opinion in a place designed to do so doesn't make you happy.
  3. Erm well I'm sorry if your internet psychology is a bit off...but I fail to see how either one of those do anything besides display my opinion. I never combatted anyone's opinion. In the second quote the direct start of "I" indicates it's my personal opinion. Never once did I attack anyone else opinions, or infer to them as inferior. If you are refering to the reference in my first quote that I infer through ">" that java is inferior to C++, that still does not attack anyone, nor does it attack their ideas. Unless you're trying to correlate the fact that I infer that C++ > Java, so then if anyone believes Java > C++ I must be directly attack them and or their ideas, in which case I would tell you to learn that every opinion could be twisted in such a way. I do believe I defended that right there. And instead of commenting on that, because of course my defence is sound, you simply called me stupid and tried to avoid said statement. This is a discussion forum in a topic !@#$%^&*led "Bots", so mentioning that I prefer, or believe C++ a better way to code a bot for the 17th parallel is directly inputing into the topic.

    Staff

    Check your pms.

    I miss

The problem is you need population for leagues. If this zone could get a population and interest enough, I would even consider coming back to run leagues.

    Bots

well being including you, there are 4 staff members...lol
  7. Being hot and creemy isn't usually a good thing. Might have to see a doctor about that.

    I miss

I really miss the leagues and events of the 17th parallel. Its very sad not to be able to waste time playing a rumble or...well...anything for that matter.

    I would be curious too.
  16. As soon as you contribute anything to the zone, then you can come in here and try to preach like you're something special. And I'm sorry that like most people on the internet you feel that you know everything and that you're better at it than everyone else. Because not a single statement indicates that you know more, nor that anyone else knows less than anyone else. I had a professor who's favorite language was Haskell. Does that mean he doesn't know anything because he loves to program in a language that was outdated a decade ago? I never said that java doesn't have its uses, just that I prefer C++. And it really helps your case out that you're attacking one of the people who has contributed the most to this zone since it was created. When Telson and I left our sysop positions, our average population was 30-40 a day. Now it is 2. We must have had some idea what we were doing. But of course we don't know "!@#$%^&*" and all hail Cerium lord of subspace! Where's his 2d space crown? Lets make one out of java. kids/guys/old men like you are a dime a dozen.
  17. After my first 2 years of college C gave me bad nightmares. Once you've gotten used to C++ and work with C, you get frustrated lol. Just sometimes.
  18. Very strong rebuttle. I'll keep that in mind for the next arguement I have. Genius. Pure Genius.
  19. Actually as the owner you are protected under the wonder of the internet. If someone uploads something malicious on your webpage, you have a federal minimum of time, I don't recall the time off the top of my head, to discontinue content before actions are taken against you and the server. Just owning the domain puts you at no fault unless you also own the server involved. Even then for a first offence you get a slap on the hand. All servers track the upload times even if the intruder masks everything else. All you need to protect yourself, and the server is to produce the do!@#$%^&*ents that you, nor the server admin posted said content, and that it was suddenly added in one fell swoop. With the legal system of today, it is very difficult to be held accountable for things you do not do. And even a lot of things you do do. And as you say, with most of the coders involved in the continuum and ss community not knowing more then pointers and array's I would have to say that chance that someone would go through the risk of committing a federal offence, to try to frame someone in a community from a dying 2d space game that they most likely have never played, is slim to none. I have to leave the slim part in for the script kiddies who think they're something special.
  20. But what I can tell you is that you directly infer that the people who are saying that Java is inferior are idiots. And at least a degree means someone will credit that you know "something" about programming. Without that degree it would be plain luck to get a job in programming, and you'll get paid a fraction of what someone with a degree will get paid. What you know means nothing in this day and age. It's what people think you know, and what people will pay you for knowing. A degree gets you both of that. ... And ASM > C++. What's your point? @17th staff: Don't let a group of idiots convince you one way or another -- use which works best for your zone.
  21. Sometimes you can take being liberal way too far. I'm not at all religious, but what they've done to christmas makes me sick.
  22. Ignorant fool. You call me an idiot when I've been programming for well over a decade, have a degree in it, and get paid to do it. In my personal opinion, I prefer C++ over Java. It's and opinion, and thus not right or wrong. So take your ignorance to some place where you're more qualified to call people idiots. Like general discussion.
  23. People like me? You talk with hypocracy and act like I'm wrong. Case in point the british through military power overan the territories. They were supported by the world majority to occupy the country. And then supported to divide it into two countries. Once they overran the territories they could have fought to keep the land them selves. And they didn't. So because they have allies that they gave SOME of the land to that makes it worse than overrunning the entire territory killing and or removing any resistance, and taking the country over themselves. Which is of course how every other power came into control of that area. The point isn't that the United States said "hey lets give them the land" and so then the british invaded and gave it to them. You talk about texas? If U.N. supported forces came in and fully occupied texas, and the MAJORITY of the U.N. decided to give the land to a people who have never existed near that land, or on that continent for that matter...well you see how that is kind of a strange idea. Besides that nothing as irrational as that would ever happen, if we lost the land, and could not take it back, well !@#$%^&* there's not much we can do then eh? I just think its funny that you support the arab occupation of that territory through imperialism, but because Israel was created through British imperialism...oh now that just wrong...
  24. How did we wrong the Al queda? We gave them money. We gave them weapons. We gave them training. We gave them power. And they give us 3 of our own planes into civilian buildings.
  25. It not really violent to hang someone. Its actually a quite passive act.
