  1. Yeah.... noobs
  2. That would make it too easy. I can see it now... "Computer, show me where I should shoot that noob in the spyder and when I should shoot" If anyone here has played vendetta, they would know how much it sucks to have the computer do all the work, rather than hunt on your own. Although that's where heatseeker missiles come in handy. But don't expect that either. You've heared noobletts whine about cheating before, wait til they get nailed with heatseekers
  3. Modified version of something that was implemented in one of the pre-releases but couldn't be added because of an error when switching between views.
  4. Ok ppl, here's the long and short of it. I've been working hard to find out why the most recent version of CNL has been locking up during load. As of yet I still haven't been able to pin it down. At first I thought it might be the connection protocols. Then I remembered it locked up even when trying to load in self-play mode. I then dumped all the models that T4 and I created since 0.8 and used the pre-release models to see if it might be one of them. Again nothing. It may just be something innoccuous, or so complex that it may not be fixed for months (even years... muhahaha....... j/k) Right now, I'm going through things that have been commented out between versions 0.8 and 0.9. Who knows, I may even have to resort to using most of the pre-release code to get it to work:) Now if I can only find the CD with the 0.8 work on it...
  5. Not to my knowledge. I haven't bothered doing so myself because I have the source models (backed up several times over:), but you could check on google for a Dx model converter.
  6. Think you can give me a full screen shot of that scene and send me what models you exported to DX? I'd be interested in seeing how you tried to mod this.
  7. I had a faked image od a warbird in front of joeys garage from GTA3, so then I figured as a test I'd recreate the scene as an arena test for CNL just for fun. Who knows, it may be a permanent way to fix ones ships:)
  8. sorry to dig this up again, as long as you hold every flag in an empty pub, i worked out the scoring, note i did this in december that you get the 3 million or 300,000 points or whatever, theres like a periodic award of like 3000 points or something but thabk you for bringing me to this topic, was this fixed in cnl 0.9? i made my own models and did all that.... Wow, wtf happened? I've seen that only once when I has some errors on my HD and I switched between explorer and CNL. Or did you not switch between the two when taking this shot?
  9. My mistake, I thought you wanted to import them from MS3D to the games model. In that case I know of no way to re-import them from DX to MS3D. As far as I know it's just one way.
  10. Oops I'll fix it after I get home from work Worst part is, that's been sitting there like that for well over six months now and noone's pointed it out.
  11. into directx8 format
  12. Ok folks, for those of you wondering what happened, the long and short is that there are personal things going on in most of the devs lives right now and Akai's server went BLAH on us all at the same time. NEways, here's the new site: CNL website.
  13. are we talking CNL08 or CNL09, because CNL09 has been rather problematic for most people that I've heared from. Most cases it just locked up. Here's some new screens down at the bottom of this page: NEW SCREENIES
  14. Hmmmmm....... more than a little peculiar. I'm going to have a look at why it's hanging up. Could be anything from a missing model to a missing line. I had to comment and remove alot of stuff out from the last revision. GFX and sound settings don't appear to be the problem. It didn't hang on mine but then again it may be other configurations (OS, memory, so on).
  15. Yeah, just hit escape and it'll ask if you want to play anyways. then hit ok. It shouldn't be hanging like that. What configuration are you using?
  16. Tripod... Grrrrrrrrrrr...................... Just copy the link hit Ctrl-O and Ctrl-V
  17. After alot of waiting and other crap, Continuum: Next Level 0.9 is now available. All the fixes are in the readme, and now NO INSTALLER! GET CNL09 HERE
  18. sscentral.net has been a super soaker site since its creation in March sscentral.com is still down for reasons unknown to me as (like I've said before) I have basically nothing to do with it Oops
  19. ok Akai, two questions. 1: I went to ssjunks index page and it was blank, why? 2: why is sscentral.net now a supersoaker dedication site?
  20. When Akai and polix sort out their personal messes you'll be able to DL it
  21. And now for mine.
  22. I went fishing through my archives and I found your old stallion model war. The second one is one that I just finished.
  23. First off, glad you agree that saddam is an -*BAD WORD*- who should be hunted down. On to the other things, you think the guy that pushed the button on whatever missile system or trigger on an apache keypad is happy about the job he had to do that unfortunatley got innocents killed? Think about how they feel also. They realize they boned it and someone isn't going to sleep peacefuly, perhaps for the rest of their lives knowing what they did one day trying to do the right thing wound up being something that shouldn't have been. Those soldiers that knew what they did are going to see those faces for the rest of their lives. SO HOW DARE YOU THINK FOR A SECOND THAT THERE'S NO REMORSE!?!? HOW DARE YOU THINK FOR A SECOND THAT IT'S BEING SWEPT UNDER THE RUG!?!? Those troops have already talked and have let the world know what they did and I can guarantee you that to them...... it's far more than just "colatteral damage". They were human beings to them. There are guys coming out of nam years later who still are seriously screwed up in the head because one day they went down a mud trail into a village they were told was a holdout for the VC only to have it later turn out to just be a regular village. Lobbing a grenade here, misplaced gunshot there and the last thing someone sees of a once live person is the look of pure terror in their eyes knowing that they are about to die and the life they could have led but didn't or the life they are leaving behind, or for the sheer fact that they realize that the man on the other end didn't mean to kill them but that they just screwed up. And when you see that look in someones eyes it's one of the worst possible things imaginable. Even without that look, you can't tell me that some GI somewhere is going through his own personal nightmare, knowing that he -*BAD WORD*-ed up royaly. On the DUS, yeah, we still use those, as well as russia, france and until a few years ago germany. BTW, all of the above had sold weapons to the saddams government during the past 12 years, all of which are now trying to cover that fact up by saying "get out america and let us handle things from here" then again it's a UN not a US effort, so just sit back and let them do their work. After all, those things can be hidden in the most innocuous places. And the effort to get saddam once and for all had only begun this year. not 12 years ago. 12 years ago it was decided that we'd let that boy be to run his own babana republic in the desert. Unfortunatley that plan backfired and hundreds of thousands of innocents had been killed, and not by sanctions, but by saddams boys. They could get their food from any other nation on the planet, we are not the worlds' bread basket you know. They had been getthing food from spain, germany, france, south america and dozens of other sources. There goes the starving baby theory. Then there's the war theory. We only went in one time since gulf war one and since now, and that was during clintons term in office when he was covering his -*BAD WORD*-. We went in a pulled out just to distract from his personal problems and became a bigger joke in the eyes of the world. And on US patriots vs towelhead nutjobs, I completley disagree. What you think of patriots are trying to stop anymore death and destruction by rooting out and exterminating possible threats to their saftey, knowing they may burn in -*BAD WORD*-. And on the other end of the spectrum, you have the camel cartel who just want to exterminated those that don't follow allah because it's deemed as a threat to an ideal, not their saftey, and they believe that they will be going to paradise where 70 virgins will be awaiting them. -*BAD WORD*-, muslims kill muslims more often than "patriots" kill everyone else deemed a threat. What you deem as patriots try to negotiate and look what happens, 5000 dead on one day. How would you feel if someone drove a truck bomb into the heart of toronto and took down that needle thing in your skyline during the middle of the day when it was full of people and it collapsed onto other nearby buildings killing even more? Remember, you guys are an ally and are now a target of these same nutjobs. PS, mabey a muslim woman can help me on this. Now, a muslim guy blows himself up thinking he'll be facing 70 virgin women. What do you think you'd face, as a muslim woman suicide bomber when you go to this paradise? Have you ever seen 70 virgin men in the same room? Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww............ Think before you blow yourselves up plz...
  24. Riiiiiiiight, the British Broadcasting Corporation is a machine of the great American propaganda machine. As for what we call ourselves, it's a matter of preference. I for one call myself a human being first. And as such, what we (meaning everyone involved in the fighting, not just the USofA, but the brits, italians, south koreans, estonians, aussies... and some dozen other countries) did was the right thing. If we didn't go in there, even after saddam had been killed/captured/died of natural causes, someone else by his side would have taken over, perhaps one of his -*BAD WORD*- sons. Have you ever seen a person thrown into a paper shredder while he was still alive? Neither have I and I hope I never have to. However there are survivors of this monsters reign that can attest to this and many other horrors that noone should ever have to face. These people aren't participants of the coalition force, but regular iraqi ahmed-six-packs who know first hand what these monsters were capable of. Thanks to UN (not US translators) they are bringing their stories to light for the first time ever. And as I stated before, the operative word is "YET". There are ways of hiding things you don't want found. It's just a matter of time before some iraqi kid digs into their back yard looking for make believe buried treasure and winds up puncturing an aluminum canister with his shovel, then he and some of his neighbors will look like the kurds did back in the late 80's and early 90's. Also, when it comes to wartime spin, every country employs those techniques, it's nothing new. -*BAD WORD*-, the nazis learned those from other historical sources such as caesar. When it comes to propaganda though, noone beats good ol bahgdad bob. I will grant you this much n64, there has been some -*BAD WORD*- spewed by the bush people when it comes to our troops, such as how they were really killed or captured or come up as MIA. Noone just flips a humvee over in a culvert that they can clearly see unless they're -*BAD WORD*-faced drunk. And the pictures of our DOAs showing up in coffins or sometimes less, they would be to demoralizing for the people. We learned that during nam, "don't ever show our dead to the people or we'll lose support for the war effort PDQ" P.S. I'm not the only who calls names, but the fact that mad would flip off people who would give their lives for another pisses me off to no end. Some who did serve and those who still serve have a different view of reality N64. And NO, MERC GW does not count!
  25. First of all he was constantly on the move. If you stay put then yes you will be caught alot quicker. And where are you getting this 4 bricks and a carpet -*BAD WORD*-? It was underground, and the topside looked like any number of the local houses (except with a few more ppl hanging around) Admittedly, he thought he could play a typical bugs bunny on our troops by hanging a crucifix and a nativity scene outside the place to make it look like a christian family lived there, but the joke was on him. That hole could not have been dug in 72 hours by him and five guys and furnished, that was a prepositioned cache, like several others around the country. I'll give saddam this much, he planned ahead, but it wasn't too far ahead. Second, we were more precise this time, the entire blocks of city that you are refering to were mostly carbombs and suicide bombers. Yeah we just love using those... I remember half an apartment complex and a dunkin donuts being nailed by us. No more than fifty civilians had been killed by the entire coalition force, the rest again were suicide bombings and sniper attacks from the other side. So far we haven't annexed anything, nor will we. The iraqi governing council is taking over the entire job within the next 6 months while we clean up the mess. Saddam had an audio c!@#$%^&*ete recorder and a courier to send out messages and find leads on where to go next to hide. His band of loyal bodyguards are playing hide and seek and snipe with our boys right now, setting up roadside bombs and biding their time, a few are still sitting right at his side in jail right now waiting exec......extradition. Right, and Adolph Eichman was just following orders. You horses -*BAD WORD*-..... You don't have to be confused or old or dilusioned to not put up a fight. Sometimes it's best to stay still until the right time, wait to be a martyr or find a means of escape rather than going out in a blaze of glory where you're full of holes and totaly -*BAD WORD*-ed. And if you're still wondering he can still courier through his lawyer and throughout his live broadcasted trial when it happens. In case you're forgetting, when things seemed hopeless, the japanese to what would have been to the last man until hiroshima and nagasaki changed hirohito's mind and he ordered the japanese people to stop fighting. Even then there were some holdouts who didn't want to give up, and they either got waxed for their trouble or got the -*BAD WORD*- beat out of them and were held on charges like anyone taking shots at a soldier in peacetime. Yeah, great job annexing japan BTW after we won. They own alot of U.S. land now and globaly without guns. If Gravitron and anyone else who lived in israel or kuwait back during gulf war I would like to chime in on what saddam had done please by all means do so. You're probably busy celebrating though to care about this board. And yes, we haven't found any WMDs yet, it doesn't mean they don't exist. I recall a tale of the housekeeper and the dead cricket. The owner of the house wondered how good a job the housekeeper had been doing cleaning up, so the owner put a dead cricket behind a trashcan, and for almost three months the cricket remained there, undisturbed and collecting dust. Eventualy the owner confronted the housekeeper and fired the lazy -*BAD WORD*-. The next day the cricket was gone because the owner hired someone who was willing to do the job the right way. And last I checked, we weren't the ones owed $40 billion in debt from iraq, that would be russia france and china, and most of that is from weapon sales. As for nationbuilding, the aussies, brittain canada, estonia, NZ japan and south korea are getting the bulk of the contracts, alot of our civvies are pulling out because it's getting too -*BAD WORD*-ed dangerous to work there right now. And last I checked, the ones doing the most "blowing up of iraq" are the regime holdouts who are constantly mining the roadsides, firing missiles and loading cars full of explosives killing not only coalition troops, but hundreds of thousands of iraqis. This morning for instance, 12 iraqi civilian police killed by another suicide taxi, days before that, a bus, before that the red cross/crecent joint op center. Tell me, other than being the targets of these attacks, how are we involved in blowing their -*BAD WORD*- up??? God you are such a -*BAD WORD*-ing moron................. BTW, I dare you to walk up to the family member of any dead soldier, spit in their face and say that thie son daughter or relative was a babykiller. I have fifty bucks riding on this saying that you would be nailed in a second by everyone within yelling distance. So go out there and mock them. I'll be waiting...
