when confronted with something that you aren't able to handle, you snap (mostly a chain of overwhelming bad events/experiences). That's exactly what happened to him, you don't think logical anymore and you see everything around you as something you don't have/you lost. When someone snaps there's no telling what he/she will or can do. Everyone's a potential killer, some just don't know it yet, others supress the feeling.

Depends how old this person is. If the only hobby of that certain someone is going at bars, getting drunk, and irritating other people by doing so, by all means, let him play games instead. I find this time limit good for pre-teen kids, because they get addicted to stuff much faster. But teens are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too annoying if they don't have anything else to do, the only thing that should happen is a 18- voice ban in the game itself.. stupid !@#$%^&*y know-it-all brats >.>

err i meant ntfs ofcourse.. Well i tried other recovery programs but they all say the disk is perfectly fine. How can windows not see data and at the same time not find any errors... prolly just one of those 1 in a million cases >.>. Anyway, i made a 60gb fat32 par!@#$%^&*ion on my new disk, and then luckily knoppix didn't give any more errors, so i'm dumping 60gb at a time to that par!@#$%^&*ion, reboot in windows, and copy to the correct place and repeat... Now ~40gb more to go yay I just hope once everything is deleted, that windows format it correctly with a full format... last time i use iolo system !@#$%^&*...stupid stuff >.> (that and/or combined with the occasion stupid power cable that falls out of my disk might have had something to do with it)

it seems i can't copy more than 3-5 files to a folder on a ntsc ntfs disc, is there any solution to that ? any linux experts out here ?

I bought a new external disk today and copied some stuff from my old one, all goes well etc Then i want to do a disk check of my old one because i wanted to defragment it. Well after hanging i tried to use remove hardware safely (which i normally never do), but that failed, so i pull out the usb cable (it didn't do anything on my disk, i checked). So i ended the program that was checking, put my usb cable back in ... nothing. I thought it might be because it failed to close the generic controller, so i reboot. To my suprise it says 'Logical Disk', when i go to it, "... is unformatted, do you want to format it now ?" ... .... crap... I figured the FAT32 table was corrupt, so i quickly installed par!@#$%^&*ion magic 8. I see the file system is still FAT32 in pq8, but when i use its internal file browser no files to be found. I check for errors: 0 errors, i check for bad clusters: no bad clusters. greaaaaaaaat... so as a last resort, i boot my live cd of knoppix 5.1, and yay it recognizes the files. So i make my new external disk writable (ntfs in knoppix :s) and start copying file per file, but some files doesn't want to copy (unable to .... ) or even doesn't want to create the directory... i try placing it somewhere else on the disk and then it does want to copy o_O". Any idea why knoppix does that. Meanwhile im going to save the rest of my 200gb =.=

Suggestion: weapons that act as heat seaking missiles I haven't looked at the source code, but i presume bombs are implemented as particles like: struct bomb { double x; double y; double vx; double vy; int power; int lifeRemaining; // add remainingSeekTime // time to lock onto a ship // add targetID; } Heat seaking missiles would average the vx & vy trajectory line with the line between missile and target (much like you turn your ship without flying in that direction and averaging that angle to smootly converge to the required velocity angle) Thing to take in account: - lockoff when ship warps, logs out or dies. I don't think its that hard to do ? Also for cloak: use customizable alpha lightning that servers can enter (in directx vertices lighting)

why not do pixel-perfect collision ? directx supports that (or so i've heard) Edit: nvm, forgot that you have to calculate the direction where the bomb flies to rather than just check for collision:yes/no :oops: hmm well if only triangle bounces are required, things can speed up a lot by doing 4 if .. then (see below) rather than calculate the exact solution: 1) -> \ : vx becomes vy (note that the offset when the bomb is not in center of the tile at left pos is linear to where it exits the tile) 2) \ <- : -vx becomes -vy 3) -> / : vx becomes -vy 4) / <- : vx becomes vy there are 4 other for up and down but the relations between vx & vy stay the same I dunno if this quicker solution for 45° only is useful but i think 100 bombs bumping into 100 of those tiles would make some hefty calculations
