  1. I think I'll have to look into this zone when my contract is up. No promises though.
  2. Greased wins this thread. /thread
  3. Unless something has changed in the past couple of weeks, I'm pretty sure the "vaccine" in question is for regular flu, not bird flu.
  4. I'll partake. Probably with the same character as I played in all the others.
  5. And people are magically replaced with machines.
  6. People are an integral part of the system, indeed of any societal system. This is why communism fails. [edit]I cnt spel[/edit]
  7. I'm going to echo this sentiment, I don't know about the West Island but here in NZ cultural diversity is being sped along a lot through our tertiary education system (roughly 35-40% of our universities are international students, being our third biggest industry)
  8. So is this forum. I disagree, while this forum does not have the resounding intellect one could possibly find elsewhere, it is not expected of a forum attached to an MMOG to provide such. Neither do the debates of this forum influence or attempt to influence the opinions of the public at large. I conclude that this forum provides no more menace to intelligent debate than drunken discussions on Middle-Eastern politics do in small, dingy bars that serve bathtub vodka in the siberian wastes. [edit]This is one of the few times I have to disagree with you monte, as light-hearted as your previous post may have been [/edit]
  9. He's a menace to intelligent debate.
  10. And there was much rejoicing.
  11. Yes. Although I can't remember why, but it is possible.
  12. Even spyed could make a better spam thread than this.
  13. At the death of his mentor and idol, Bran Man, Manus casts his eyes forlornly at the ground before him and reaches for his butter knife and stabs himself through the skull with it, killing himself instantly.
  14. o_O, I just saw a blue jay do exactly that right before my eyes.
  15. i88gerbils wins [/thread] If intelligent design is taught in schools as science, I shall propose to the school board of my area to put equal emphasis into the theory of intelligent falling as an alternative to the theory of gravity.
  16. followed by a course of penicillin and morphine.
  17. After wiping the dust off his jacket and surveying the pathetic amount of damagehe let his !@#$%^&*ailant do to him, Manus walks away from the topic and orders some cellular destabilisers.
  18. Manus, after being smacked on the head twice in quick succession by various body parts, decides that he has had enough of impudent little upstarts who are far too ignorant of just how ignorant they are when failing to show the proper respect. Manus then tears flamingstarch's arm out of its socket with brute force and proceeds to beat him to death with it while simultaneously punching through Ailerons chest cavity and wrenching out his spine with his free arm.
  19. Who fell in love with Tex.....
  20. So, you have decided to enter a new and exciting career in the Independant Mercenaries Guild, the premier ins!@#$%^&*ution for security labour and equipment hire! Welcome to IMG, where we make your plans become a reality. The first thing any new prospect must do when entering the guild is to undergo a full medical analysis, this is to ensure that no monitoring devices have been installed that may compromise our clients or the guild, it is also the first time you may register any desired cybernetic bio-genetic enhancements you may wish to make (cost will be added to guild !@#$%^&*he). Once this step is out of the way successful applicants may proceed to weapons selection. Weapons selection can be seperated into two broad categories, naval equipment and ground support, both with differing levels of cost attached to them (it is important to note that while naval equipment such as warships cost exponentially more in guild !@#$%^&*hes, the standard hiring fee of a ship counterbalances the cost). Naval equipment consists of the Kanatis Alliance range of military vessels (see File: IMGsecuid/cat/weap/naval-qref97103472), barring the Marathon Class Cruisers, of which the guild is only permitted one (the current IMG cruiser is the KAS Manus Celer Dei). Ground support equipment is, however, more complicated, as the variations vary widely according to personal fighting style. Armour consists of three broad types of armoured exoskeleton: Jump Armour Support Armour Tactical Armour Each contain identical primary systems, but come integrated with an additional subsystem, Jump armour containing small inertial boosters which alter the inertial state of the wearer, allowing them to "jump" up to 150m in normal gravity without harm. Support Armour includes a small, shoulder mounted submunition drone launcher, which fires a cluster warhead drone in a high arc. Tactical Armour eschews these more esoteric options and instead uses available power to reinforce the exoskeletons shield generators. Once your preferred style of armour is chosen, you may arm yourself with any of the standard selection of Alliance military sidearms and assault weapons (see File: IMGsecuid/cat/weap/ground-qref97106418). Custom manufactured weapons and equipment is allowed, and the guild has a nano-factory with templates for many forms of weapon construction, however, the guild levies a sizable fee for the use of this facility and it is not available for use of guild members under the rank of "Senior Brother". Senior Guild Knight Richard Arbury. . If they need our help, they do not deserve it.
  21. [OOC] Manus, I apologize, I'm going to have to roleplay your character slightly. Grmble. Fixed your post. And Jim, please.[/OOC] As the fighting starts Manus reaches for his NFusion-Bolt Pistol and switches his implant to armed combat mode, targeting reticles appear and his vision mode switches to enhanced IR. Leaning out from behind the cover afforded by his position he fires and hits one of the !@#$%^&*ailants squarely in the chest, which promptly explodes in a cloud of blood and gore as the warhead detonates, scattering many of the fighters towards any available cover. Two more shots are fired and two more sungl!@#$%^&* wearing fighters go down. It is all over quickly, the combined combat experience of the bar patrons was more than a match for the surprise offered by the seemingly suicidal attackers. Inventories are taken of casualties and first aid nanokits are distributed amongst the wounded. Those unharmed immediately contact the stations lax emergency service personell, and try to ward against further attacks as Manus and some of the more inquisitive patrons attempt to discern the iden!@#$%^&*y of who juat attacked them.
  22. Manus, busy dispensing drinks to the various patrons and debating the merits of the Alliance cultural ascendacy ideology with a loudly arrogant Ithkul freighter pilot, notices one of the TDI agents in the bar and motions over to her. Looking annoyed at the interruption, she gets up an saunters over to the bar. "What is it?" "AIS want a chat with your people, shall I tell them you're here?" "Not yet, I'm still on objective, be done in an hour" "They really want to see you, sounds like a Cat4 issue, don't take too long" The agent pauses in thought for a second, pondering what it could be to upset Alliance Security so much, but decides to ignore it for now and concentration her mission.
  23. Manus opens his bar for the day and begins reviewing inventory by hand while checking on the modifications being made to his latest client's ship at the outfitters via his neural implant.
  24. I wasn't going to include your character as an atypical "villain", Moral ambiguity FTW. You'd have been more of a misguided zealot out to accelerate the Kanatis long-range strategy under the whole 'ends justify the means' line of thought. On the very very slim chance I get published, I'll send copies to everyone on the board who wants one. Otherwise I'd be careful what you wish for.
