  1. Due to my lack of time lately, I haven't been able to put almost any time or effort into the forums, and honestly, I think it shows as of late. So I decided to re-admin Syrus to take over running things day to day around here. Will help me in my other needs/projects for the site. He's in charge, so his word goes as mine or swift's would.
  2. Meh. Why spend your life worrying about where you came from or where you are going. If there is a God, I believe he'd rather we just live our lives over worshiping him, and spending all our time debating this !@#$%^&*. One of my favorite poems. My grandparents, who are highly religious mind you, have this in their bathroom in front of the toilet, so you can't miss reading it.
  3. Not sure how entertaining everyone else will find it, but I found it funny.
  4. They haven't released the info yet. Will be in the next few weeks.
  5. From my experience running large populated forums... Yabb - POS phpBB - has it's perks, like being free, but falls in comparison to the administration control of the top 2 uBB - the current stuff, useless. The old software, that was some sweet simple !@#$%^&*. IPB - while it started free, the only reason we purchased it was who wanted to convert to vBulletin and pay, just pay and be done with. It has a lot of nice features, but lacks some of the user side perks phpBB and vb have. vBulletin - The cousin you want to !@#$%^&* of current forum software. It isn't cheap to run, is VERY controllable, and has most features IPB and phpBB both have, and then some. The only downside to being so controllable and customizable... SO HARD TO SETUP. Once you have ALL the settings set, and everything together, it is a dream. But there is literally HUNDREDS of settings you'll want to customize, or need to to get it going smooth. But as I said, once all done, the forum is a dream to run and administrate. There is more mods in the history of vBulletin than the other 2 combined, and the code is very easy to read through. This is what you get when a company who has always charged for scripts codes a forum software. Not a free one, or one who went from free to charge. If I had a choice, I'd fork out the cash to vBulletin. Cheaper, and better.
  6. I guess the council had tried something, but nothing ever came of it. So I talked to Ghost and than E-mailed Priit myself, but no reply from Priit. The issue wouldn't be as much getting the site setup, as it would getting access to the firewall and such. There isn't a lot that could be stolen through that access, if correctly controlled. I had e-mailed and brought up the fact to a few people, it would be VERY simple for him to setup FTP with strict access for a script to run on cron, and go in every say 15mins, when it is all written, and grab the files, parse em, and store the needed data. But nothing has come of this yet.
  7. Actually, Root is wrong. The answer was yes, and it is going to be implemented soon. I had the mod to get everything working right. SSCentral.com is just the priority at the moment, and so a lot of new features are sitting on hold.
  8. Mervbot.com was a gift from me to Catid. But than 1st offered him a new site design and all, so he moved his hosting there, and I didn't renew it. So he was probably still figuring he had catid.ssihosting.net or whatever it was.
  9. Script issues Fixed.
  10. Edit: For those who don't get what I meant, look at his !@#$%^&*le image/member group.
  11. http://forums.sscentral.com/index.php?showtopic=16091 I compiled it the other day, and Mikey posted it.
  12. Ok. Goodbye.
  13. Have you tried installing any other games besides continuum? It is all the fact that the Continuum.exe doesn't have permissions to write files in the continuum folder... This I have NEVER ran into outside of all the solutions we have given. I will continue to try and find a solution though.
  14. Bug #2 is fixed. Testing it And 1 more time
  15. Discussion About World Events hmm... Maybe just make that the !@#$%^&*le. Edit: How's That? Edit2: Actually, Planet Earth is better. Keeps with the "SS" Theme.

    SSC-Ban

Ok. Now your becoming an annoyance to me. 1. You got info about a TW Mod, and began telling everyone you had it. You got banned for it, rightfully by TW Zone Rules. Me and Mike are both Ex-TW Staff, pre-Rudy even, and know what their rules are. 2. This is a net-bannable offense, and no doubt after being bugged, Rudy finally got tired of it, and going with the SSC Guidelines, not just his zone's, net-bans you. 3. You come here and bug us, complain, and act like the innocent in this one, hoping we'll think Rudy is evil or something, and side with you. Instead, we stand by the guidelines, and you continue to whine and complain. 4. Net-Ban is lifted, did not have to be, and than you begin to bug Rudy again, the guy just wants some peace. So out of frustration, replaces the net-ban, that did not need to be lifted mind you, to get that peace. 5. Now you continue to come here, the BanG Ops have told you all he has done is legit. Get told to wait it out, all is legit, and continue to complain and make another thread after yours was closed. The Net-Ban lasts 5 days, you come back, you leave Rudy be, and in his own words, even then your local ban might be lifted. If this topic gets closed, you drop the !@#$%^&*, or else you won't even have these forums to communicate your problems with. Thanks.
  17. Mmk, was just making sure you had everything in there. So Continuum.exe has NO permissions to write any files. That is pretty much what I am getting here. Macro, Profile, and Keyboard .dat files are created on the 1st run. Zones.dat we include just to keep a decently updated zones list on there. Hmm... I am really trying to figure out why it would not be allowed to write files now...
  18. Wait a second... what folders are in the Continuum directory (folder)?
  19. Well, the folder will always say read-only, I should of said the continuum directory files, sorry.Make sure they are not read-only. Zone.dat, Macro.dat, Keyboard.dat, and Profile.dat Edit: Hidden? Why would they be hidden...
  20. It honestly sounds like for some reason continuum's folder is installing as read-only, or not permitted for you to write in it. I can't remember if it has the option for install for all users on computer, make sure that is oked. Make sure the folder isn't marked read-only also.
  21. Right there is typically caused by playing Continuum with Run As or not having admin rights. http://forums.sscentral.com/index.php?showtopic=13180 Look through the programs list in this thread. It has a lot of common programs that do not allow continuum to run. Either allow it in them (if possible) or try shutting them off and see if it works. If it does, than that is your issue. It is a sad issue, but nothing we can do until our programmer finds time for us to resolve it.
  22. Computer Specs? Do you have administrator access?
  23. Anyone mind posting these to IPB for me? Bug 1: Moderating Groups do not have full and correct moderating powers. Cannot Full Edit closed topics, and Quick Edit dies on closed topics. Have to open to full edit. Bug 2: Replying too soon after own post with quotes, or fast replying too soon after own post kills NL2BR function. Makes all posts 1 line, no spaces either.
  24. haha... you mean Groupee as they like to be called now? Was reading bout it on I think it was yaxay a few weeks back. Their software kind of got buggy and went downhill, so they became a Myspace/LiveJournal wannabe site that still puts out their software... Pretty sad in my eyes. I use to love their software, but than it just became so easy to hack into and such, it just got old.
