Telson, I know your not an old SVS player, so I won't blame you for not knowing that those exact objects you pointed out, have been standard use obstacles in VIE/SVS/SSS maps for ages now. !@#$%^&*, #3 looks like a modified version of the standard J12 base. So really, none of those features could be called "copied", as I previously stated, they are standard obstacles. Ok... So I can call Psyops out for copying me too than S!@#$%^&*? My Battle arena used a lot of VIE based obstacles, and was in action from 00-01, I still have the map and all probably on CD. It was an SSC zone, so should it not be the same standard? We cannot copy old SSC zones by SSC Rules. His arena is as much like mine, as Chaos's is like his. !@#$%^&*, I even had a modified VB Merv doing the squad duels in mine. The point is, there is tons of zones with similar arenas, similar maps, and !@#$%^&*, even some have the exact same ones, as developers jump around zones, or zones just do it, and neither one cares. I just don't see enough evidence to merit this a copy.

Sometimes I wonder if people really read what I type.

Not my design, don't got time to design one... so meh. And the menu options I plan to change, I am just trying to get everything finally together.

Updated all the code. Finally just said !@#$%^&* it, and did Tables, they're compatible with all browsers (IE 6 and 7, FF, Opera, etc.) and I don't have to spend so much time fixing the css issues, only to have another browser see it differently. I wanted to use it as a project to learn, but seems that failed. http://polix.sscentral.com/ Got more to go, and updating the sections, changing some around, etc. But will be ready very soon.

I had an arena in my zone in 2000-01 named Battle (later renamed Battledrome), which was a 5 v 5 squad dueling event, big deal if the name is the same... lol. People think up the same !@#$%^&* all the time, and it happens. You chose a common word name, your fault, not his.

MMk... Lets look at this. The Maps Chaos: Alpha: Nope, don't see much similarities there. Also, Alpha is a 975kb map, while Chaos is 178kb. ---------------------------- The Tiles Chaos: Alpha: Both just standard old vie day public tiles. Maybe some minor modifications in Chaos's, and a lot in Alpha's, but not unique in any way. ---------------------------- The Settings Now both being standard SVS zones, we won't get into this, seeing as both are just going to be based on their own SVS style anyways. ---------------------------- The Conclusion Now while the idea may be the same, it looks doubtful any personal work was copied. The 3 key components that decide wheter a zone/arena was stolen (which arenas aren't concerned too much unless it is a copy of a zone's main arena, IE: every zone has an elim or duel arena), show no proof of being copied in a way that action should be taken. Sorry bro.

Please elaborate.

Anyways, I replied to Cerium in pm, and gave him my reasons and input. To the Rest: .38 = Bugged. 39pr1 = Attempt 1 to fix. 39pr2 = Attempt 2 to fix. 39pr3 = A lot fixed. 39 Beta = Pretty much all bugs fixed This was the main focus. Cheats, well, you can never stop cheats, but you can control them a lot better. But my focus was compiling bug info for Priit, and so was GS's. We'd like to test the cheat control, since priit took the time many years ago to code it in (he had a lot of dev done on .39 actually), and it was worth seeing how his new updates to it worked. All for now... bed time

Zone's did a fine job controlling twister. But we still found need to put it to a stop.
-
There was a few minor updates besides bugs and cheats, but this is what priit had been working on. .38 is full of bugs, so .39pr1 was released, and noone complained bout that. .39pr1 and pr3 are full of bugs, so .39 or .40 will be released, and you talk people will complain. The general populous has spent more time e-mailing me wanting to test it than they have probably spent playing. 400+ E-mails in my inbox can prove that. Only 20-30 players recieved .39 Beta, and will, yet more and more still want it. So I think there is more of a want than you'd think for some sort of progress.
-
People always have to have something to complain about... "Priit has abandoned us" He comes back "Well, a final release won't mean much" He's releasing a bug fixed continuum, that will stop many cheats. "Well, it won't stop em all" Can't just be happy for once can you people. The amount of effort Ghost Ship has put into this, getting a hold of priit, and pushing and pushing for this (I've been updated along the way the past 6 months), and all you can still do is !@#$%^&* about something.
-
Something that has been confirmed more than once. If you have had to force things into memory, or turn on many things like Software Emulation to fix bugs, it'd seem running .39 Beta, and than .39pr1 again, will fix all those bugs if you turn those off. Underlord had reported this, but more and more people are e-mailing me back with the same. Me and GS believe it must be something in the registry it updates, or a file or files.

If you know anyone having issues, please, continue to send them my way. This has fixed every bug everyone who has ran it had. The only issue was a virus scanner on Rootbear's laptop, that we have sent the info off to Priit to look into. Seems Sophos thinks continuum is a virus. All good so far.

Interesting stuff... Mhmm... Have some hope

Well, our projects are hosted free by TWSites, but their server kept giving us so many bugs with SSCentral and the Forums, we had to move them. Now it feels re!@#$%^&*ed leaving them there, because they are hosted for free, for what was originally meant for the sites. Yes, we we're allowed to stay on free when we told em we we're going to move, and DoCk> said to stay for free since we pretty much funded the start of TWSites.com (Buying 2 of the biggest packages combined into 1) and so we did. Swift has 2 or 3 sites on there, 2 of which are semi-affiliated with this game, and I myself have 1 for my brother on there, not affiliated with the game, amongst other planned future projects. If you don't mind us moving those, then I'll just do that, but I just hate taking free resources that we're meant for another purpose.

It's good. Just like a long episode of the show, nothing more really.

So a few weeks ago, joe (swift) and myself decided to buy a VPS. Both of us have a lot of side projects, and would feel bad putting everything on TT's server. We decided to get a VPS from JaguarPC, good reviews, tons of good feedback, them and LiquidWeb we're rated the top 2 from everything I saw. JaguarPC opened a bunch of new servers, and had a huge discount to promote them, I took them. I got the server ready, and figured SSForum would be a great live environment to throw at it, since we get a lot of traffic here, and IPB is very consuming on the server at times. Well, it'd seem the Interworx control panel never got fully installed correctly, and I think it is also !@#$%^&*in the rest of the server up. I have all the correct ports open, but if I turn on the firewall, FTP dies. Funny enough, it worked just fine, just one night didn't, and I found when I turned off the firewall, all worked fine. No ports had been touched in a week atleast. Also it'd seem a lot of php isn't parsing correctly, and I've searched the entire php.ini, found no odd settings. I am continuously getting e-mails from my control panel saying the cron is messing up the daily job it runs, although I have not gotten that today yet, oddly. The final straw has now come though. Last night, I went to login to my control panel, and it said my license was invalid. E-Mailed their tech support, and they got on it asap, even set my ticket to emergency. They got it working again, sweet. Now, I logged in about 10mins ago: **WARNING** This control panel license will expire in: 6 hours 29 minutes 5 seconds. Funny enough, that would be around the same time I logged in yesterday, and found the control panel license "Invalid". I have never heard anything like this about the Interworx control panel, and I even told them the install seemed bugged, but they just fixed my license supposively, and said all looked fine. I have ran servers self-managed, and with so much management, they barely give you ssh, and neither have given me so many issues setting anything up, or given so many odd faults. The plan right now is to get the files from forums.sscentral.com, and any new uploads moved to ssforum.net on TT's server. Than I will get the software there to connect to the db here, and update the dns. I will however kill uploads/attachments, so we don't lose any until the forum is moved. So in other words, if all goes right, you shouldn't even notice the site has moved. I am not saying JaguarPC is bad, their tech support is great, but that I just got a bad install of my control panel, and it seems they don't want to believe so. I just don't have the money for a dedicated server right now, and a shared is just so limiting to what I'd like to do. I guess I'll have to discuss a few things with TT and see what we can come up with. I work a short shift just driving the box trucks back and forth today (1pm - 6pm PST), and after that, I will begin work on this issue. Sorry guys, didn't go as we had planned it sadly. All for now.
