I think it came up in one of the phone conversations we had during the .39 beta and .40 release discussions. Lately we haven't talked much beyond playing tag about the scores websites and stuff. I'll tell him to read this.

I haven't had the time or ability to do any x-mas shopping yet, haha. Gonna be a last minute one this year. Last year was done by like the 10th, this year be lucky to not be shopping on x-mas eve :\

I have contacted steam about it before, and it has to be authorized by the developer. Even if they ignored the fact BDE owns Subspace and Continuum is a clone of it, PriitK would have to come forth and make modifications and be the main point of contact with them. And as I've said before, I'm sure this hasn't changed.

Has anyone else noticed lately how many games are now on steam? I guess Valve must have be doing something right. Sometimes I wish there was a way to get Continuum on there, but they just don't like the whole legality mess of it all. Or didn't when I tried a few years ago. And then now we have no more updates in sight, if ever again, no way we could get it setup to work with Continuum. Even trying to load continuum through Steam as an add-on game just causes it to not load or crash steam for most people... Oh well. Now to play some Team Fortress...

Laterals are a standard part of college football. A lot of plays they never try in the NFL are because they actually practice them in college. Went and watched my buddy practice for the Huskies here at UW one time, and they practice all sorts of odd plays they rarely use, but know them really well so if it does come up they can use em. Most NFL teams don't spend time practicing unique plays or how to defend them. Kind of like the shit Miami has been pullin lately, they just don't expect it, and haven't figured out how to defend it yet. Granted yes, that one was a bit outrageous. But I have seen it done many times before where there was 3 or 4 laterals in HS and College games.

~15" now and it is still snowing pretty good. Stopped for a few hrs today and cleaned off my car, but the snow is too deep that i'd rip my bumper off trying to go anywhere. And I only have cables for my car not g/f's so her car ain't going anywhere. Already tried before another 3.5" fell this evening, so probably not going to work tomorrow. Shitty thing, I may at best get 2hrs to get in, but if the buses aren't running routes tomorrow like they weren't today gonna be fucked getting in even that way. Starting to learn the downsides of working for the dod, they don't show much care that there is feet of snow on the ground and almost noone can make it in. Then again I worked saturday at Sears helping them out, and they weren't gonna let anyone home even though half the people didn't expect the snow to come so early and so heavy, so they didn't have anything capable of getting them home if they stayed much longer. And now the power keeps trying to go out. This could be a shitty x-mas week Keep away the northern states if you're planning to go anywhere for x-mas, lol.

yep. Noone ever wants to point at the victim and say "you we're a bad parent" or point at the poor "confused" child and say "he just developed some serious mental issues." Instead "OMG, he didn't get his video game so the fact he was mad at his parents means he took the gun and shot them over the video game." Reminds me... need to go and download that patch. And on the IE vs FF. There was a trend of SS users going towards FF, but in the past year most the sites I've monitored are trending back towards IE again. Probably due to the fact most the eye candy that got a lot of the not as tech savvy to FF is now in IE. That or FF3 has become so overloaded with crap, many have moved on to Chrome and other lighter browsers.

Well, I think it is obvious from the screen shot, but your HD is erroring out. Does it work properly in the bios? Is there a HD test option in the Bios? If either of those are a yes, or both, check them out. Have the Bios do a HD test, and see what it says about it. If all is fine, then your vista install is shot, and I hope you we're smart enough to install your PC with 2 partitions, 1 for windows and 1 for programs/important data. If not, you might be screwed getting any of your stuff back. Might try finding a local PC store that specializes in PC data retrieval, and then if possible, re-install vista. If HD is shot, well, then your kind of at a loss there either way, and I'm sure you know what to do there. Note: these aren't definate answers, just answers from many past experiences working on pcs with this same sort of error.

Yeah, well the shitty thing is where I live we just went almost 10yrs without any real heavy snow, and then last year and this year we're getting our asses kicked. So all of our snow equipment we pretty much budgeted out in most areas except up in the passes and east of the cascades. Now we get to suffer I guess cause it is in the 20s, and the 6-7" most areas still have on the ground ain't going nowhere before the snow returns, and this time bringing 50-70mph winds w/ gusts to 90 with it. 18yrs ago yesterday was the last time we had a major snow storm like this, and they're predicting this one to be worse. So as long as I have power i'll probably be on here a lot working on stuff. So expect things to change a lot round here, mhmm.

Weee... Very few people made it into my shop, let alone the entire shipyard. I could barely get outta my driveway, so gave up and stayed home. But if too few make it in, and the many wanting to leave before it gets too shitty, I may just get paid and not charged leave anyways. Mhmm. Gonna work on the downloads script some maybe. Not sure yet, but on the 23rd my shop is having a Prime Rib dinner. MM mm. I hear it is the best Prime Rib you've ever tasted, so excited cause my g/f doesn't like steak much so I haven't had it in ages.

Never been to one, but I do hear some of these giant lan fests can be fun. What is better than having some 13yr old trash talk you, standing up and yelling "want to say that to my face you little bitch?" and actually getting to see them cower like the little kid they are. But yeah, I use to goto Lanwerx with friends and play CS:S before I bought it, good times. And being "too cool", really, I use to try and hide my PC Geekdom from my g/fs and friends (to the point they annoyingly wouldn't even let me touch their PC thinking I might break something), but realized who really gives a fuck. I've met a lot of really cool geeks who are more entertaining than a lot of the people I hung out with in HS. And to be honest, I probably would have had a lot more fun when I hung out with my cousin and his friends had I just gotten rid of my schoolish cliche ways. And back to the subject...
