  1. Dunno. Saw this on a show once. They actually got in touch with the guy who did this and interviewed him. Was in some city in Canada, can't remember the name of it. I think it was also set up if I remember right.

Doing some searching found a few posts about issues with cross global connections and them, but not to all US servers. So could be them or could be the servers. Trace Metal Gear, Extreme-Games, and T3 The Gauntlet! and post them if you could. Will give us a bit more variety of the servers and see if it is the 1 server (as DSB is off on their own from rest of SSCU) or if it is the cross atlantic connection your ISP routes through.
  3. It is always smarter to install your OS on a seperate small hd or partition. One only a gb or more in size over (IE: XP 4gb). Then move your program files, common files, my documents, and favorites to the other hard drive or partition. Why? Fragmentation, and Searching. Everytime you open, change, move, save, really do almost ANYTHING to a file, it moves around on the partition, or is fragmented amongst it. This causes more holes and data for windows to read through to find what it is looking for on the HD. Same thing with having all your programs there. Even if you never ran them, it is still more data and files for Windows to scan the hd through looking for what it needs. And Searching, well as it scans from 0 to 4gb and over and over it finds things faster. Again, improving perfomance. I once went 6yrs without re-installing 98 after learning all of this from a HD vendor's website. It now is also all over the internet, and for most companies a common standard with their higher up pre-builts. My 2 cents.

Trace is kind of useless at the moment, as all we can tell you is what hops it is at. Please do atleast 100 cycles or until all the hosts are resolved (Whichever is more) and repost, thanks.
  5. Just built a tank and Warthog batallion (sp?) on Blood Gulch and dominated. Granted 1v1, but still, hella fun. Only additions to demo: lots more maps, up to 3v3 AI/Online Multiplayer, UNSC Leaders have special units, special ugrades/starters, and a powerful unit. Same with covenants on special units. IE: Forge has the Grizzly Mechs instead of Elephants, forget his power unit, but all your supply depots are automatically heavy supply depots on building. Other little things, but i'll save em for when you get the game.
  6. Not gonna read all of that, but just a funny fact they discussed on the news last night (Had a special story on this since it just recently went into effect here in Washington), and oddly enough, there have been less assisted suicides in Oregon since the law went in effect (1st state to) than on avg in states where it is illegal. And in the states that it is illegal in, it is only the known cases. So the fact it is now tracked and monitored more effeciently, it has scared most doctors from doing it illegally for the patient, and the amount of time it takes for all the paperwork to go through gives a patient time to 2nd guess themselves. Also all the mental tests, and the reviews their request has to go through threw a lot of requests out. So really, imho, the law allowing it is safer than not having it.
  7. Got it, but haven't had time to sit down and actually play it. Beat 2 levels real quick then had to run out.
  8. It's not the fact they're made up or not, but the fact they are really believeable or even questionable thanks to the state of our society. Rather then a "that'd never happen" we find ourselves asking "where'd this happen?"
  9. Agreed.
  10. You can on the xbox atleast. Watching my replay, I was like "holy shit, I looked like that? Kick ass"
  11. And their trademark image...

  13. We passed a law allowing it here in Washington pretty much copying the one Oregon had this year. It has a lot of restrictions, but I agree with it. if you're terminal and suffering, and want to go, why shouldn't you have the choice to choose death? Why should you have to spend your last days in pain, or dazed and confused because your on so many pain meds you're really not functioning as a normal human beeing anymore?

  16. Over the years there has been lots of talk of limiting names and squads by ip and names and etc. etc. etc. The issue that always comes up is the fear it may hurt the player base more than help it. The other issue is that new players have a hell of a time finding a login. Heck, I know even when I came back in '00 and couldn't remember the pass to my old alias right away, it took me like 10-15 times to find a name. Then ended up changing it cause I hated it, and stuck with this. But I'd hate to see how the common newb now a days has to go about finding an alias. Granted once the scores website is back (if ever... fucking priit), it may assist in planning on this part. As if a name hasn't been logged into in ages, and hasn't ever really scored/played, it'd be obvious it is being horded and could be given to a new player / someone who'll use it / reset. May cause enough headaches for many name traders they'd give up. Note: attractions posts deleted and warned
  17. *UNKNOWN* = Players still on the Squad and the owner was reset. Few years ago Priit did a huge reset of all the *UNKNOWN* squads, and lots of name horders/traders grabbed em. I grabbed a few and have handed many out over the years to players (IE: why people ask the squads I own and I never know) by request, but many of them just went to the name traders rather than player use.
  18. Moved to Proper Forum
  19. Ok, so this folder has no concern to us then. You made it sound like you backed up 'Zones/Aarbear Test' not some folder with random zones files of yours in it. So I figured it might be a file issue when you tried connecting. Have you tried logging in with different accounts? I logged in fine.
  20. oh. Not Continuum/Zones/Aarbear Test ?
  21. Tried renaming your zones' folder in the zones folder?
  22. I ment a zip file without the installer in it. Some weirdo put the .exe in a zip file...kinda defeated the purpose. mmm. I'll have to fix that. Didn't know they did that... Good ol' Mackieman (since I dled it from SSBase to upload here if I remember right).
  23. That would be something of your own personal actions... At the top of your post see the Options drop down, under Display Modes choose Standard. Topic moved to Feedback and Support
  24. He already figured that out... I sware, I want to find Hopone and Shoot them in their faces. Sadly the only solution we can ever offer is bitch at your isp, or switch. Hopone is new AT&T (back in 00-02 had a lot of connection problems with them) and isn't fixing it. I personally don't recall anyone fixing this, but I'm sure my staff will post if someone has.
  25. http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?autocom=d...&showfile=2 Download this and unzip it into the same directory as you're trying to install continuum in. Replace all the files.
