Thanks guys. It was just a !@#$%^&*ty day, and night, and I came here to PMs of people whinin and !@#$%^&*in about !@#$%^&*, and it wasn't really what i needed. Doing better today. It just didn't have the full impact til yesterday, seeing his gf finally just breakdown in out of control crying. And seeing men cry and barely be able to finish their toast to him, it just got to everyone. We we're all happy and drinking and having a good time like he had wanted it to be, but when it was all over, like most of us who've talked today have said, it kind of just finally hit ya, he wasn't there having a good time with us all. And then the other deaths, just piled onto it, like why... But i'll be cool, and i'll drop in still, but just not in the mood to deal with people and their !@#$%^&* right now. So take it elsewhere, or shove it.

Just need some time away. I haven't actually cried in as long as I can remember as much as I have today. It didn't hit me how much I missed my friend Mike until everyone was together, and I realized in full, he wasn't there, and never would be again. I mean !@#$%^&*, my eyes are all blurry typing this. I've never seen so many grown men cry, myself included. Probably 50-60 people, and not a single dry eye in the building. I've lost a friend, a great aunt, and a great grandmother in just 8 days time. My mom always told me Everything Has a Reason, but what is this reason? How do you reason so much death? I just don't want my emotions to get the best of me when someone pisses me off. Out for now.

Environmentalist groups are just a bunch of wack jobs most the time. It is when you have thousands of Scientists saying the world is getting warmer that you believe it. Not all say it is causing our current weather problems, but most who don't, do say it is something that could be theoretically true, and they won't accept or deny it.

No, it's in the keyboard hardware itself if I remember right. Pretty much something you just have to learn to live with and work around. Could try that, never heard of anyone trying it, but lemme know how it goes.

Yeah. My only gut feeling is that i'm going to have to develop the site offsite just to get it done and running. Which is going to be a pain, but seems like how it'll have to be done. I'm tired of going to DoCk>, and just want to have full control over my own enviroment.

Not exactly expensive. Like $30 can even get you one that will allow it. But as Drake said, a laptop, which i've heard many giving the same key errors, as most of em aren't really MADE for gaming, but can be used for it.

Honestly, in time was my plan. I'd like to begin offering hosting to all the major zones at cheap prices. Make things easier on them, and just ask they show the navbar (once debuged). But right now, my main priority is just getting SSCentral together, and I don't need server changes and issues screwin things up. So if Dedicated is how we have to go, that's how we go. Just need a solution for ourselves again, something solid, and little downtimes/issues.

Can I do like we do now? With subdomains having their own control panels? That is my main concern. It frees me up to do as I need, and allows them to add/do what they need.

I dunno. Some of it I liked, other parts I didn't. I'm glad to hear that for once our Congress and President don't agree, and they are trying to do something about it. The statement that we will decrease our gas usage by 20% by 2010, I see happening, but I don't think anything forecoming will have any sort of direct effect on it. It's kind of a trend already in place. I know myself, I use to spend $60/week on gas, driving my old cutty (3.8L V6 Carb Auto), and now with my accord (2.0L V4 FI 5spd), I spend $30 every 2-2.5weeks, if that. Just put $10 in, and it'll probably last me 2 weeks easy with my driving habits as of late. Top that off with more and more Hybrids I see driving around, and more Foreign cars/Small Domestics, and it's going to make a huge impact.

LOOOONG story, and it still is scared, and you can feel everything under it didn't heal right. It twisted it all up somehow, and didn't bleed at all. Yet my mom was able to see my bone... So looking back on how many arteries and !@#$%^&* there are there, I consider myself lucky.[/offtopic] But yeah, this topic is going to go off topic quick. So guess we'll just go with the flow.

It is actually a keyboard based error in a lot of cases. IE: not being able to press multiple keys together without PC beeping, or it just canceling it all out. Normally caused by a cheap keyboard, or just a "Typing" type of keyboard (There are some more expensive versions of these). They're not meant to have multiple keys pressed, as they're not really designed/created with gaming in mind. In Continuum some keys cancel each other out, but if you're experiencing it outside of the game, i'd guess my 1st statement is the case.

that is all in DoCk's hands... And no doubt i'm not the only buggin him with issues. Just more reason I am debating getting a VPS or some other hosting solution.

Hmm. Lot of weird stuff going on on the server... IE: http://deva.sscentral.com.. /cpanel/ is now SSL, port 2083... php working in some places, not others... I tried recoding the nav using the good ol "If Else" statements, and still no go. It's like it's not even picking up the info from the url. Very odd.

wow polix. You rant on and on every post about how you and swift spend sweet time together drinking booze out on the balcony discussing the future of SSForum, and now he's not calling you back. Sucks that you're not feeling that electrical impulse go through your spine when you see swift's name appear on your cell fone while its ringing. Maybe thats how i can rise to my ranks in subspace. On top of that, and Swift will agree, I was the one who helped him get into the admin position on these forums/site. When SVS got lazy, I replaced him with Swift. I also got him onto the council after talking with Mike about adding some fresh faces and all. He wanted to, and Swift was one of the 1st. I got spanked when I did something wrong, and i'll admit I have respect for my parents. !@#$%^&*, I remember fearing the cooking sASSS. I sware they we're used more on my !@#$%^&* then for cooking sometimes... what I get for being a mischievous child, haha. OH MAN, the ones with holes in em... !@#$%^&*. But my bros have gone i'd say, almost their entire lives without much if any spanking, and little discipline. When I was 15, my dad would lay me on my !@#$%^&* if I spoke back to him or my mom. My bros, !@#$%^&*, I end up being the one to beat the !@#$%^&* out of them. My parents won't do !@#$%^&*, and they talk back to them like crazy. Taking !@#$%^&* away from them just makes it worse. But when I lay one down, they shut right up. I think it really just depends on the environment and everything also. But man, who else remembers the s!@#$%^&*. Or in my mom's case, her mom would always buy them those paddle balls. They never seemed to learn that they'd get em when the last paddle broke, and when the string broke on em, my grandmother had herself a new paddle. HAH.

Yea. The server's php is now 4.4.4, and http://www.sscentral.com/cpanel/ won't work, but http://www.sscentral.com:2082 will... So I think somethin is up with the server itself maybe...

It is there. I'm just tired of looking at it. If you need to look into it, enable it when needed. But I just can't figure out anywhere to put it off the frontpage... I guess as a sub-forum here, but eh.

Right here, as it has been. "The Office" -> "The Project Room" -> "SSCentral Development". All it is and has ever really been.

I came here earlier today on a friends computer, just checkin what all the PMs I got we're about, and I looked at the forum for the 1st time in a long time from a guests point of view, which would also be a member's. It looked re!@#$%^&*ed the way Administration was a single forum, seperate category. I never thought about that much, cause I see all forums of course. Well, this forum is part of the game development, so I feel that is where it belongs. And Feedback and Support, well, it is a community forum in sense, so I put it there. I logged out, and the forum looks like it makes more sense again. So before all the complaints, you know my reasoning.

That right there makes it something we can't really help you with. It sounds like a driver issue, or a setting in the video card. I'd check out their tech support faq, or look through your video settings.

I will have an update soon. Just been dealing with the death of a good friend the past few days, so haven't been online much. I'll keep ya guys updated though, don't worry.
