Ok. Few things you could do for me. Try installing anti-spyware, and an anti-virus. Lemme know if any issues with Continuum. I want to see if they continue from XP into Vista.

I think Altec, next to Priit and Argyle, has put more money into this game than anyone else, and he has never been on Council, or had any word in how the game is ran or how SSC is controlled. I find it funny honestly. Not that any of them really have or want any involvement in the council, but just funny (and yes Priit is "on" council, but when has he ever been involved in the past few years).

Yes, a lot of bugs can be found on the Tracker. I'll bug GS about that if I see him online. I think the biggest bug we need to attack would be continuum being kept from opening by Spyware, Anti Virus, Anti-Spyware, etc. The Spyware issue I think may not be able to be helped, but the others should be able to. This seems to be the biggest issue we tackle in this forum. Edit: I posted a link to this topic in a few of the major zone's technical support forums, aiming at their tech staff to hopefully get more input. Zones like TW squash a lot of bugs for their players also that don't come here. I'm going to bug Stabwound (Does a lot of work with TW's Technical Area) and get him to give some input also. Edit2: I've talked with Ghost, and Priit will be setting time aside this weekend. So tomorrow night I will summarize what I get from you guys here, and I'm guessing he'll summarize what he gets from Council, and this will be sent off to Priit. He does know about Tracker site, and I know a lot do since I recently manipulated Report Bug to point to it in the client. But this is all of utmost importance to get ideas and info on causes, and any info around the cause (IE: the Anti-Spyware programs causing it most, Anti-Virus programs causing it most, etc.). Thanks guys.

Just work with Dav1 and if he is still staff, Jericho. They are level headed, and Dav1 is a great guy to work with.

if you could finish it, and maybe make it a bit more subspaceish, I might use it. http://www.sscentral.com/polix/ - probably what will go up if nothing else is designed.
-
It looks all internal. I'd check your connections to your router, and router to internet.

Hey, sorry guys. I just needed a few days away, so took off for most the weekend. Root, I'll package and send it out Tuesday (Day off), and L.C. i'll send PM now.

Well, one idea we had back in HS was what if the world is still coming out of the Ice Age. It was only a few thousand years ago, and just from historical records and stories it sounds that is was colder back in the 100s-1000s. But seeing as we only have true do!@#$%^&*ented weather since the 1800s, we can't really compare it on a great scale. Yes, the past 20yrs have seen a bigger percentage increase, butt here is also a huge increase in population, and more people on the planet is more body heat and CO2. There is many things causing a warm up, but we can't ignore the basics that we can fix. The unnatural causes that we make.

No. I only liked UT on XBOX. I thought PC would be cool, but just didn't like it as much, IE: almost unused. Say $8 shipped? Box actually has a decent amount of weight to it cause CDs are in a special holder and stuff inside. Whatever doesn't sell, i'll probably just take down to some computer store in a box, and tell em $20, and it is all theirs.

Quit trying to rip Polix off! The first stick of RAM alone is worth $45 I'd say. I paid $65 for it probably 3 months ago. So it has almost no use, and I got it super cheap, was normally $85. I was figurin $40 atleast. $15 for the 512 is fine, cause all but 1 are original I bought for the computer, and I bought the other at the end of the summer. The case fans I have no use for, so $10 is totally fine. I'd take $70 for it all, paypal fees and shipping included. !@#$%^&*, never know, I might just throw some other goodies in there with it.

QUOTE(SD>Big @ Feb 1 2007, 03:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>in my experience with form factor pc's... all i can say is make sure its vented well! in the past 2 months i've seen 3 of them suffer heat issues. although the one i did come across that worked well was an XPC and it had a full sized case fan in it.Yeah. Shuttle's are specially designed to handle heat. They come with a special heatsink that blows all the hot air that comes off the cpu right out of the case. 1 fan blows through a heatpiped heatsink into another fan sized to the heatsink and enclosing it blowing the air right out. So the heat that normally comes off the heatsink is greatly diminished. Also, they're designed with the right sized fans, layout, and ventilation to keep it cool. Running it with the cover off the case will actually cause it to heat up, that is how well designed it is. Yeah, I've done a lot of research on em

If I actually sell off my old stuff, I'll get a Core 2 Duo.

$50 to me right now is A LOT. And I'd rather get the E6400

What i'm building Shuttle SD37-P2-BK Intel Pentium D Presler 3.0ghz 2x 1gb Kingston DDR2 PC5300 eVGA GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express + Current 80gb Seagate Barracuda SataII HD and Sony DVD Burner Ever since I 1st played on one like 2yrs ago I've always wanted to build a Shuttle XPC. So much power in a small package. I don't need a super computer, so a Pentium D will do me fine. Raw Power (PD) vs Smart Power (C2D), I'm fine with the cheaper Raw. 7600GT should do me fine for the little gaming I do.

So, I decided that I'm more tired of having a pos barely running computer than not having new rims and tires for my car. Well, if I upgrade, gonna sell off my old !@#$%^&*, just curious on interest. Sapphire Radeon 9550SE 256mb AGP 8x Video Card Plays a lot of games on actually rather high settings with a low end processor. Quake4, NFSMW, HLF2, BF2, no issues on Med-High settings at 1024x768. 1gb Kingston? PC3200 Ram with Heat Spreader 512mb PQI PC3200 Ram 512mb PQI PC3200 Ram 512mb PQI PC3200 Ram Rhycon 400 or 450watt (Gonna have to tear into it) Power Supply Dynapower 400 watt Power Supply P4 2.4ghz Socket 478 w/ Heatsink - Ran great before upgraded my grandmother's computer, but that was almost 1yr ago, not sure, would sell for next to nothin. 1 Socket 478 Intel Stock Heatsink 6 80mm Case Fans - gonna scrap the case, unless anyone really wants it. Probably tons of other !@#$%^&* that'd I could find that'd be useless to me, so no issue unloading. I know I have 2 more power supplies just sittin around, and an old Antec case I bought for $100 like 2 or 3yrs ago. Unreal Tournament 2004 - Pretty much new in box, barely ever played Simcity 3000 Unlimited Simcity 4 Grand Theft Auto Vice City Yeah, if interest shows, I may dig up some other stuff too.

I tried - recharge once, crashed Subgame, ha. Might be different now, was almost 5yrs ago (Wow, I feel sad saying that).
-
Would be possible with ASSS, but Subgame is too basic for that bro. Nice idea though.
-
I had disabled that, but it sometimes will still do it. I'll look into the issue.
-
Biller -> Subgame -> Client. Biller never makes a solo connection to the client as far as I've understood it, and read from packets, and how subspace protocol is laid out. Now looking through ASSS, there is a lot of unknown or unlabeled packets transfered through from biller to client and vice versa. So no doubt, one of these may be the mystery packet. But the point is, that ASSS could send the packet to the player, or add the packet at the right point. When found, I don't think this should be made public, as it does have purpose. It would be nice to maybe code 1 solid public biller with it, and allow any non-ssc zone on a dedicated connection to connect to it. IE: No home hosted zones, or crap like that. But zones who's hosts are actually taking the time and money to help out, and deserve to be centralized in some way.

Just make sure you get Most Wanted, not Carbon. Told a guy to try it out, and when he went to the store he got carbon, cause he saw it was the newest, and realized why I told him not to. I got it, and it is alright, but tooo much story to it. Most Wanted has some story, but it is mostly just Underground + Hot Persuit combined. Not only have to beat races to be able to race the next driver, but also have to get bounty, cop chase times, etc. Carbon is semi the same from what i've played so far, but feels like a lot of story. Was all just "Text Messages" and "Phone Calls" in Most Wanted, very little video story. Sorry, I've just always been a NFS Freak.
-
Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Battlefield2, and Madden 2k7.
-
I got it down to a couple of packets the SSC biller sends to the client that Non-SSC billers don't seem to. I plan to test it again with the default biller, used cat's last time, and see if I can't find the packet differences between those as they'll probably be closer. Just need to see if GS will give me another SSC slot to do it, cause I see no harm trying to fix and move on with the things Priit has left behind.
-
It wouldn't be the issue of brain, as much the issue of the server ops. I was told it was Steigerwald and Budweis0r? With recent issues with Halo, their names probably aren't on the top of the list of the SSC's caring corner.
