  1. 1tb will do you fine, no issues. Doing math for bandwidth in Subspace is really impossible. The max throughput of an Subgame server per player is 12.8kb/s (the highest possible connection a typical home owner could achieve at the time was 128kbps) but that is normally only achieved during downloads. And bandwidth ranges depending on the amount of players on the radar, on the screen, amount of bombs/bullets/other objects on screen (not including tiles/lvz/background graphics), and a few other small factors. This is why Super Zones typically use more bandwidth than any other zone. Really, 1tb of bandwidth would do you fine for a new server, and would last you for a long time. Don't expect to push over that until you've got multiple zones achieving 30+ players.
  2. There is no max on ASSS. And subgame, just as with the file transfer limits (12.8kb/s), was recommended 1mb of ram per player. The max a typical rental server had was 1gb of ram, so it was limited to 1024 players, or 1024mb of ram, or 1gb of ram/players.
  3. Seems fine to me
  4. Corsair Anyone eliminate that yet?
  5. Well, 1 will end up being used for SSCentral, and 1 for Squad Central. So it'll be a simple logo change to the one we feel fits which needs.
  6. yeah. They came with heatspreaders, and normally that is torn off on them, so the factory !@#$%^&*ed that up.
  7. Noone ever said it would be DONE over the weekend. GS never even said he'd take time to do it this weekend in any of his posts. I had said in the thread Priit was going to set time aside this [last] weekend to work on it. Everyone just interpreted what was said wrong, simple as that. !@#$%^&* happens, we move on.
  8. Aight. Thanks bro.
  9. Nothin on the Heatspreader? Sometimes that has some marks on it. I'll ask him again when I talk to him what brand, but he honestly doesn't remember. He bought 6 of em like 2.5yrs ago, and yea. And you positive it is faulty? Was runnin like a champ for me.
  10. Any word from either of you on progress? I'm aiming to have SSCentral back up and on its feet asap. I have the next 4 days off, and am focusing on having it done before the next Continuum comes out.

But every SSC zone at some point in time has been involved with SSNet/SSCentral in the years we worked together. I just posted who had had forums, not including who's sites we hosted, who we're involved in keeping our sites updated and news posted, etc. Lot of those zones use to, and would even now take involvement. Yes, they have their own large stable forum systems now, but if I went to them to get actively posted news, or help with content, etc. they would get me someone no questions still. How many non ssc zones forums and sites do we host or have hosted in past year or so? 0. They seem to have no need for us, so why do they worry if our ISG doesn't include them? I'm not going to take the time to keep something updated for zones who don't need us. Just my honest opinion.
  12. I personally haven't noticed this. It was new again for me. Dunno.
  13. mmhmm.. Ok. I guess I must of read wrong, I'll 2x check that it is off.
  14. If you wanna install it, go for it. Just back up the db and don't !@#$%^&* !@#$%^&* up
  15. Except, Congress can overrule the President on anything he does, even throw him out of office. That is why I used the one I did.

ISG - non-SSC zones come and go too frequent, and non at the moment are strong/solid enough to last long. I'm not fully into taking the time to keep up with them. the Site - How do we not support non-ssc zones? They just don't ask anything of us, so we don't ask anything of them.
  17. Nah. More like... SSCouncil is to GS/Priit as The US Population is to The Congress. We tell them things we want done, and work together to get the idea to them, and they decide if it is worth the time and effort to do. They are the Ultimate power, and can overrule. The SSCouncil does the same thing.
  18. The council is honestly nothing more than a mailing list of info, and an advisory group to GS/Priit. They can vote on things, and I had seen it many times in the past, ignored. Like there was large support in game, and on the mailing list for setting up a secondary biller for non ssc zones. Something to unite them, and try to give them a central database to help them develop. We even had begun discussing ops, how to run it, etc. BD Vine shot it down, and said anyone who disagreed with him could e-mail him, and he'd explain why it was not needed (Speaking of which, he never did reply to any of us). Now that doesn't mean we couldn't continue and do it on our own, as we had the ability, but we had hoped to just use a copy of the SSC biller to make the transfer flawless for zones (commands/power levels would be the same). But just is an example of how the council can decide something, and yes 90% of the time GS and such comply, but that it can also be ignored or shot down.
  19. PM sent with some info.
  20. Yea. that'd be swifty boy.
  21. ok, dropped em off, i'll send pms with confirmations. Root, yours costed almost as much as what you paid me, haha. And both of your names are josh... weird.
  22. Well, as GS said, this was not a feature request thread. Just for bugs surrounding CE, WinXP, and any other major spread bugs.
  23. Sent to Ghost.
  24. He is already having anything that has been majorly asked for for years in the list. So any feature requests posts will be deleted. In about an hr or so, I'm going to compile everything here, and p!@#$%^&* it onto Ghost for Priit.
  25. Yes, highly delayed by my inactivity, and lack of people jumping to help. But this project is still going, and I am constantly doing offline work when I have the time. If anyone is still interested in helping, now would be the time to speak up.
