When a player is called a name they are told to use ?ignore but when its a sysop they can ban? nez is right, changing the map should be the priority. It doesn't take long to get bored to death with the map there is in pub.

well its arranged so 8th seed plays 1st seed (2nd vs 7th and so on) and so will probably lose against that team. Although with any less than 12 teams its better if just the top 4 go into the playoffs: 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd which should be done this season since we have about 9 or 10 squads i think.

Lets have enough speed to outrun all the bombs but the levis. Lets have cloak and stealth so half the ships can't see us. Lets have a bomb which can kill any other ship and lets give that bomb a massive hit radius. Lets fire that bomb from half way across the arena where we are completely safe. Lets be able to press the insert key and warp out whenever a terrier isn't around. Lets realise that there is no skill in a ship that either kills immediately or dies immediately with almost no dodging or aim required. GG

Well i was proposing the changes to be made in pub so that we could have improved leagues. I am a shark player and couldn't care a great deal if i lost stealth and cloak in exchange for a repel and a bit more energy. The spider players may give more negative feedback but it is only stealth they'd be losing so they can still creep up on unexperienced players to kill but they'd have to use portals more effectively to catch out the experienced players. With 50 more energy it should keep some sort of balance.. afterall they have wicked guns too.

Well I have no problem with cloakers in pub. However when they are put into a league all about killing skills and not basing skills things get a little stupid. In leagues ship-changing isn't an option and with only 2 x-radar ships it doesn't make alot of difference when you are not allowed more than one of a ship. 3 cloakers is too many. My proposed solution: 1. Remove the sharks cloak and stealth and give it a repel and +50 energy. 2. Remove only the spiders stealth so a player would have to use radar to spot them. Since spiders have portals anyway this shouldn't hurt them a great deal. Also give them +50 energy.

For once madhaha is right. The easier this zone becomes the less skill it takes and the less interested players who have been here more than a week become.

Nice idea for the shark. We can always do with less cloakers in this zone, especially if we ever want a successful multiship league that isn't based on pub-style soccer. The terrier ideas aren't bad either could use some tweaking like maybe making those guns lvl1 and a slower rate of fire (just my opinion). I was also a fan of the old terrier (pre-zeke), it was just as powerful as the javelin which is why is should have never been changed. I doubt anyone would consider these ideas since the people that tend to get the job have ideas of their own (example: zeke changing the jav because he never liked it when % of the zone loved the ship) To get them to be considered you hvae to own your own arena and construct the settings from there.

Well i believe that was a quote from one of my posts met so i'll try to respond in a non argumentative way. The ships you mentioned that can play in and out of base can indeed do that but look at the spider, the levi, the lancaster and maybe even the terrier compared to the javelin in open-space combat and you'll see they're just not designed for the same game. The weasel aswell is too fast, has too much thrust and has enough energy to survive 2 bombs if they're a few seconds apart. I played the weasel yesterday and couldn't die unless i flew into the goal-room with a lanc and a second ship (i'm sure you noticed me kill you a few times weasel vs weasel). I also play the shark and lancaster quite a bit so am not a 90%-of-the-time javer. MSBL: This was not fair combat. The weasel and javelin were overpowered in the open spaces even though the javelin was significantly weakened (this just got every player who loves that ship angry). There were 3 cloakers as there is now which makes it impossible to play levi. Before its said, i did try and i'm actually quite good at levi in pub (another non-jav ship i play a lot!). SO 1. Spider can't kill much of anything because its main weapon is burst. 2. Lanc can kill quite a lot because it has x-radar, 3. Terr is a sitting duck with no x and difficult aim. 4. Levi can't kill much of anything because it gets swarmed by cloakers 5. Jav can kill most things because its overpowered compared to the other ships in open combat. 6. Weasel is sitting high on the top of the tree because it has cloak, speed, good firepower and enough energy to not die in a quick strike-something frequent in sbl games. Maybe this is why you loved this league so much. So please don't tell me this is a balanced league when ships specialised for specific types of combat are all thrust into an open space. Playing as a TEAM doesn't help much here because SBL is about quick-killing not base-defense or a soccer game. In a killing game unbalanced ships have to work as a team not to die rather than with balanced ships where they do so to help them kill. A Multiship league cannot work with these ships. MSBL was a big failure. I want a multiship league as much as anyone but NEVER again with these ships. Unless its a soccer league where each ship specialised ship has a purpose.
