some do it out of peer pressures, some are just so depressed with not fitting in with the worlds social norms that they take them in a bid to be cool. Its much better to be ones self than be cool. Often the two go hand-in-hand which it takes some people a life-time to realise. Some do reach their desired state but that just means they don't have the brain power or control to be there without the drugs. There is no reason to take drugs that harm your body.

Druggies are small minded because they would harm their body to reach a state of existence they cannot reach otherwise. As for religion well anyone who believes in something and has 'faith' where no proof lies is no better than these nut-job cult-dudes. I'm not saying anyone who believes in god is crazy, what i'm saying is there is potential. These people have no self-analysis, they're just sheep or slaves or whatever mindless drone would be of best description.
