  2. so the old testiment is part of the koran too
  3. lol@hz inside joke yo they won't stick around if you tell them they are proxies and not real people... the duration of this contest is your chance to make the pitch

  5. your contest attracts new members to subspace forums. reaction? paranoia and threats
  6. the third one is completely unique and doesn't have a pasted in photo of a planet that the artist didn't make. also, it looks good even in 256 color mode!
  7. i love the graphs; they're not even functions! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/bak2007/lol-hor.png
  8. yeah the supreme court system is a bit !@#$%^&*ed up, although bush did get to appoint his fair share of judges. It's sort of strange in that we need these judges to be able to make unpopular decisions or else we'd have mobocracy, and we need their terms to be more long term than that of a single president. At the same time, however, the president gets to choose judges that will interpret laws for possibly 40 years into the future, and we don't want judges on either side to have an agenda interpreting laws for that long. Maybe there should be a mandatory retirement age, after all as you get old you experience cognitive decline. are there any first world countries where abortion is illegal?
  9. tj we like to hear your point of view, even if it's different from ours. otherwise our perspective is just limited to people who agree with us which isn't very enlightening the pokemon/harry potter thing came up because the site you posted with evidence against evolution also had pages saying harry potter and pokemon were destroying youth, so this was an attack on the credibility of your source.
  10. seems like you're saying that it's silly to take something written in some book hundreds of years ago as an absolute truth.
  11. lol!
  12. how would jesus coming back confirm anything written in the bible, except that he'd come back? also kkk was a protestant group that har!@#$%^&*ed catholics (in addition to blacks). ok so I went back and read your link. It's main point is that life coming from non-life is impossible (which is, by the way, just a single part of evolution). it also states "There are only two possibilities for the existence of life" which is not true at all. my spaghetti monster "theory" is a third. Also, some of the points are incorrect (I don't know enough biology to argue them all, although it's easy to win arguments when one side is arguing). One point presented is that life coming from non-life is against the second law of thermodynamics (entropy). However, this law only applies to closed systems, whereas the earth is receiving, to this day, a constant supply of energy from the sun and is NOT a closed system. Also, that site is ridiculous, it has pages dedicated to saying why harry potter and pokemon are destroying youth. anyways, TJ, I agree that evolution should be presented as a theory in the classroom. When I learned Darwinian evolution, they presented it alongside Lamarckian evolution and the theory that life spontaneously came to existence from non-life. When you learned it in school did they not mention it was a theory?
  13. the spaghetti monster theory is just a theory just like classical evolution is a theory. neither one can be proven or disproven
  14. yo if jesus returns there is still no way to prove creationism occured. it is just a theory supported by jesus, just as provable as the theory that humans evolved from a spaghetti monster.
  15. stalin killed more people then the crusades, salem witch trials is like a dozen people?? @mormans: i heard that in the 1960's the moroms got a message from God saying black people were no longer inferior to white people @bible: it says if you kill the servant(slave) of someone else you owe them a goat as payback. how come we believe some things in the bible and not others? who chooses what we believe? @creationism_vs_evolution: we can't prove whether gravity attracts objects together or it's God's intervention forcing them together.

  17. TRP don't be too offended by what people say; people on both sides of the issue believe they are 100% right and everyone else is an idiot, for which no rational argument will accomplish anything. These people should just be ignored. I do have a few comments, the first is on your comment that "that's a very short time in Gods timing ... Like a brief second, or nano second". I've also heard that time can go really slow for God since He sees everything everyone does all the time. Also, current science theory is that time is relative to how fast one is traveling through space: it is a consequence of space itself. It would make much for sense for God to be outside of space, and therefore outside of time. As for mormans, I believe you have to !@#$%^&*he 10% of your earnings to the church. Why is this a requirement? If someone is barely making ends meet wouldn't this just be a large burden on them and their family? Also you claim that mormans believe in jesus and therefore are christians. By that definition, muslims also believe in jesus (that he was a prophet, not the messiah), so you would also consider muslims to be christians? Also, when things are intelligently designed they serve a purpose for the creator. People make watches to keep track of time for them. If God is all-knowing and all-powerful then what the !@#$%^&*? Humans serve no purpose to such a God. In addition, an all-knowing God implies that humans lack free will, since if God knows what choices we are going to take, we can not diverge from this path.
  18. aha, you're right it's definitely possible with a bot, although I don't think ball mover will do quite what you want:
  19. you can't make it spawn at exactly 512, 512 with subgame, only near the center. with ASSS you can make it spawn exactly anywhere you want by changing Soccer::SpawnX and Soccer::SpawnY in the arena's settings.
  20. protestants are told, and thus believe, that catholics worship statues, think going to church alone lets them go to heaven, attend church for the sake of going, and know nothing of the bible. discuss.
  21. um, you can also just make the region a warp region if you are using ASSS. Then no coding is required. In CLT it's just a matter of pressing the "auto warp" check box while a region is selected and selecting where you want to warp the player; I can't imagine it being too much more difficult in DCME. http://continuumlt.sourceforge.net/manual/#regionswindow
  22. you can code ASSS with C, C++, or python. Other extentions are probably possible but not currently implemented.
  23. yo marijuana (and others) were legal in 1969 because it was after the 1937 Marihuana Tax Act was ruled uncons!@#$%^&*utional by Leary v. United States in 1969 and before the passage of the Controlled Substances Act of 1970. Also, from the sounds of it, woodstock was the most kick-!@#$%^&* party ever and should get a museum just for that. obviously it's not for all people, but neither is lots of things the government spends money on. and if you meant they're illegal by today's standards, then we could apply the same argument to take slavery out of federally funded museums, which wouldn't make any sense.
  24. um, she's the senator from new york?
  25. one million dollars?!? holy crapper... hey instead of invading iraq we could have built > 400,000 hippie museums! http://costofwar.com, hypocrite
