i still play SS, but not in 17th, and obviously not with this nickname. as for the rest, i got tired of the -*BAD WORD*-ing about... everything. i do kind of regret not banning maka for the -*BAD WORD*- of it before i quit, but such is life.

And a small addon, to keep this huge delay from happening again I will make an effort to take the scores before the actual reset occurs. This means scores will only be counted until around 6-9PM EST before resets. I will login with this username to announce it to the public arena so that noone breaks a sweat getting points/kills that won't matter for anything but pride.

The SSC billing scores site was FINALLY updated this week, so the past two scoreresets' PubWar totals have been emailed to ntfx to be posted in the awards arena. Congratulations to -=SMG=- and some squad for putting together perfect 200 point resets! If you see a problem with the scores, please email me and I will see your email before I send in the next reset's updated arena. However, be sure you understand the scoring sytem before emailing problems with scores. And remember, NOTICE: ALL DECIMAL VALUES WILL BE ROUNDED **DOWN** There are only 4 more reset periods left (2 months). The only squad in danger of elimination at this point that has any points is 4U>All.

well you guys got handed a nice forfeit loss today in MSBL, so you're out already no procedure required. and in the future, the league sysop at this time is ntfx, so talk to him if any of the sysops about leagues. you'll have better results though talking to whoever is running the league.

I think the overall effect of the league will be good, DKR. I think it's a good thing that "being a rec-weenie" now has a downside, as it doesn't contribute much to the zone's public arena. Another effect which I only thought of while I was away was the fact the mad run on points (AKA Bounce Fest) every other Tuesday has been diverted. Hopefully we'll have more people playing before resets because of this (I remember reading some people got too pissed off with all the bounce before resets). You can still have alot of fun doing the same old things in the public arena, but now there's a larger team picture to look at.

the bad lag isn't ping, it's ploss, in my opinion. those two people who are voting for 200 ms are on crack, though.

The idea is sound I'm sure in your head, but either it's being presented wrong or I'm misunderstanding it then because you can't fault the squad that shows in a forfeit win for ANYTHING. And the regular season is just that, a training ground for the playoffs. As Sever said, I don't see this rule getting implemented any time soon.

Well, I've been impressed by the amount of people who have told me their views on this since kent started spamming this link in all his chats (I exaggerate a bit, fine). I've retiled the soon to come awards map so that it includes points + kills. The new scoring system reads like this, provided net lets me, which I think he will: "Each reset period, the top squad in terms of wins will get 100 points. Each squad ranked 2nd to 5th will be allocated a percentage of 100 points. What they get is a direct percentage of what their wins was divided by what the top squad had. The same will be done with points. The two results will be added for a squad's point total for a reset period. Squads that do not place in the top 5 for 2 resets will be dropped from the league." Suppose your squad (Squad A) Gets 10000000 points (10mil) and 1000 kills. Not let's make a Squad B, making a two squad league. This squad finishes with 9000000 points and 1100 kills. Squad A's points would be 1st for points, and second for kills, or 100 + [ 100 * 1000 / 1100 ], or 190.909 repeating. Squad B's points would be 1st place for kills, and second for points, or 100 + [ 100 * 9000000 / 10000000 ], or 190.000. NOTICE: ALL DECIMAL VALUES WILL BE ROUNDED **DOWN** Those are only points for that one reset. I will do this every reset, adding points from every previous reset to give the running total. At the end of the season we'll have an overall winner. Keep it tuned here for further announcements if they become necessary.

kent I completely see where you're coming from, but my main concern when I picked kills over points was the fact that people use the ?Buy commands and therefore reduce their, and their squad's, point total. If I get enough people complaining about this I'll change it to points, or maybe some combination of points AND kills, although I'm sure I'll get a headache from that when it comes time to give out the league points. Kills never get reduced except by scoreresetting. If you have a problem with the kills over points issue, ?message me or PM me in game or post a message here.

Howdy everyone! I recently took over the updating of the ?go awards arena, and noticed that it's, ah, been some time since this mini-league occured. So, I'm going to bring it back! No signups are required, and the rules are really simple: "Each reset period, the top squad in terms of wins will get 100 points. Squads that do not place in the top 5 for 2 resets will be dropped from the league." The league lasts for 6 resets, or 12 weeks. It starts this Thursday (September 11, unfortunately enough). I'm aware of the discrepancies in squad sizes, but there's nothing that can fix that problem, as using the top5 pilots statistics doesn't encourage everyone getting involved. There is no official signup required. However, I will ask squads that place in the top 7 or 8 after the first reset to send me their roster size. This will be posted in the awards arena so that a squad with 50 people in it won't get the same praise for winning as a 15 player squad. The League MVP will be done the following way. Every reset, the top squad that reset will tell me their pick for MVP. They will have to submit it by FRIDAY (2000 GMT) after a reset or else I will pick someone based on what I see when I'm online. Hopefully we will have 6 different MVPs at the end of the season. To pick the overall League MVP, the squad leaders of the top 5 squads will sit down and vote for the League MVP from among the 6 winners of MVP awards already. I'm as yet unsure how this voting procedure will go, but in the event of a tie ntfx or I will cast the tiebreaking vote. The "miss top 5 for two resets and you're out" rule is to add a stronger element of compe!@#$%^&*ion. Since there's no playoffs or anything of that sort, I want to weed out the non-compe!@#$%^&*ive squads by the 4th or 5th reset. Contact me in game to ask me questions!

There will be a playoff after the regular season. As I said, the regular season is more for weeding out the unwilling squads than anything in Continuum leagues. And -pirates- have won games the hard way as well. If you're so worried about it, practice more, and thump whoever you play in the playoffs.

If you get into the playoffs with 6 forfeit wins and 3 normal wins and some losses, you will probably lose to the first squad that has earned their points. I don't think this rule should change because, as you said already, the team that shows for the forfeit win doesn't have any control on the team that gives up the forfeit loss. And while you're right in saying that the win is "worth" less, the purpose of the Regular Season is to ensure only DEDICATED teams make the playoffs, AKA teams that show for their games. In professional sport even the best teams on paper don't make the playoffs, but they still show for all their games, and sometimes change who does make the playoffs (example that comes easiest to mind for me is the Rangers in the NHL). But in SS/CTM noone gets paid to do anything, unless you're in Worldpeace. So it falls to the league Coordinators and Directors to make the best rules that will ensure that teams that are willing to compete will make the playoffs. lmfao! that's quoted lol. back to the main point though: i say reward people with highest positive stats in teh ball game (!@#$%^&*ists goals steals saves) randomly every game. but we talked about it before and it didnt happen.

people who post here claim to speak for a majority, noone seems to mind. i thought i'd play along. but most events ARE more fun with more people, and put is as well. ppub does get 30 people a day playing now, but that's at peak times. im talking more about offpeak times then, and that's were MORE PEOPLE come into the equation, because more people = higher population at offpeak times (generally). svs leagues (Except the czl and other chaotic ones) are set up to be 4v4 or less. i play in the svs leagues, i know they aren't low in population my point, which you missed judging by your reply, is this: the current settings have gotten us more population into the zone, and then they are staying more (whether that's due to events or their continued playing of pub isn't possible to find out i think). something has been done right. blame zeke, hate zeke, love zeke, kill zeke, HE DID SOMETHING THE OLD SETS NEVER DID FOR YEARS AND YEARS: make the zone grow. im not posting in this again because i dont want to risk getting banned for flaming which is what im comign very close to writting sometimes. toodles!
