  1. Programs don't usually 'deal with' such instructions... It's how you implement an idea that defines what instructions will be used. Also, if you manage to make a (useful) program that doesn't use any IF's... congratulations (using useless for's or while's to make an 'if' condition doesn't count )
  2. Hmm, just noticed 17th Parallel's description has an ugly double quote at the end ô.o " (not a bug on your side, just to make it clear It's really the description that is like that)
  3. The navbar at the top has links to other forums, such as TW and DSB Having them all as redirects on the main page could be quite monstrous, and could be a pain to keep up to date
  4. That is what I meant, indeed

    Notepad

    You suck
  6. Some download accelerator software can screw up statistics badly too... I remember some DCME version being downloaded like 1000 times over a few days from an attachment on the forum It was just... wrong.
  7. No one's going to stop you... But you might want to know that you're not the first who tries that... You aren't the second either... But if you're stubborn... have fun
  8. taiwan? and wtf?

It's notepad on steroids. Was talking about jEdit, obviously... Notepad++ was in my suggestion in the first reply of the topic
  10. I get some sticky fading-out menus once in a while, nothing to do with Continuum though... The only way to get the desktop to redraw is to kill explorer.exe and restart it... But that probably doesn't help you.
  11. Can't you see the difference between a girl about to be raped, and a girl about to be raped UPSIDE-DOWN ?
  12. HS has much less graphical "burden" than say, Desert Storm, or whatever. Also, listing your specs won't do much good... Continuum will eat all the CPU it can, most of the time. You might want to experiment with various graphic settings (view -> advanced options...). The checkboxes at the bottom can have an influence on the performance/ugly lag. As far as I know, there isn't any magical recipe, so just try various combinations
  13. +0 != 0 And yeah... there are only items that modify the other people's bombs do to you, not the other way around.
  14. I personally like IPB's download plugin, which has a versionning system, and can be made so anyone can easily submit a file. It's used here and works fine, but it would be redundant to manage files both here and at SSDL, so we didn't upload many files here.
  15. If they can't use specials they'll get owned badly But some zones could adapt better to that I guess If the rendering allows us to zoom in/out, it could be made to zoom according to the resolution used. Maybe your ship would end up 4x4 pixels, but whatever.
  16. But you did
  17. The problem with ssdl is, it's nearly impossible to get new files up these days... Adding new files shouldn't depend on the free time of one man Also, being able to update existing files would be nice... like it could keep track of versions or something
  18. Pretty sure there are applications much more graphic-intensive then continuum on mobile phones... the only issue is compatibility, really. And as long as WE (the community) have control on the source code, I believe we can make it work where we want to
  19. Any sane programmer would use 'a' , 'A' , '0', and that kind of thing instead of integer values Also note that any char value under 127 would be the same signed or not But yeah... that had nothing to do with the 'long name bug' thing... which is actually more related to the server/client protocol itself
  20. What's your point? It's not clear if you approve of Brain's post, or if you think what he said is ridiculous ô.o ^ new emoticon

    Notepad

Good thing I never heard of it.
  22. I thought this all made sense, until I realized anyone could make his own directory server...
  23. Germans can do things beyond your imagination
  24. Even though that pretty much defeats the purpose of having directory servers in the first place...
