  1. Are you blind? It'sWhy is it sitting on the trunk, and then the hood .?
  2. Or use Windows
  3. I would, but I can't buy it
  4. I don't get it What is the laptop doing on the car
  5. That could work... but get rid of the less challenging ones Getting a medal for every single kill as a turret would be ridiculous lol... attach spree is dumb, you just spam ?attach and get a medal... The 'Recall' one can be abused easily (just ?summon everyone to you randomly), and I think assists would be too frequent as well (and hard to code). And I'd have medals only for triple-kill or more. But overall, the concept is interesting... A game-wide achievements system would be even more awesome, though. And it would encourage people to play many zones. But such a thing is pretty much impossible right now.
  6. So we'd all end up with dozens of double-kill medals?
  7. lolwut? edit: Apparently it's only the first episode of the game (out of 5) that is free
  8. Why not? Might not fix the problem at the source, but it should work.
  9. Too lazy to quote exactly, but the guy said something about "competing against other free games" That's the thing, free (quality) games are a rare thing... sure there are all these 'i'm bored I'll go spend 5 minutes on that stupid browser game', but other than that... Yes the game is very old and outdated, and this is exactly why we NEED a new client that would greatly expand the possibilities and bring the game in the 21st century. The current game's engine is great and devs used it with great creativity to push it to its limits, but we pretty much reached that limit now. I imagine a future client would bring us much more than a '2d spaceship game'... It would spawn a whole bunch of RPG's, racing games, sports games, puzzles, and whatever else. We already have all of this, but they all still have that 'I'm piloting a spaceship' feel. Also, just give subspace a major graphics overhaul (particle effects and crap), and you can have an awesome game. Hell, if we do make our own open-source client, we could even distribute it on steam for free or something.
  10. http://www.masterbranch.com/developer/samapico/107460 That site seems to gather information on all open-source projects it can find on sites like google code and sourceforge... They're creepy :S Yes, I was autoaliasgoogling... And googling samapico yields much more interesting results than my real name, and they're all really me and not just someone with the same name.
  11. This wiki has lots of info: http://wiki.minegoboom.com/index.php/Special:Categories
  12. Available here I wanted to do some quick touchups on DCME for a while now, and I just did. I would like some feedback on this release, to be sure I didn't mess up something that was working before while trying to fix the code because of the SVN repository being lost. What's new: -rNRA (No receive antiwarp) and rNRW (No receive weapons) region attributes are now supported (Requires ASSS 1.5.0+) -Map screenshot tool (File -> Save Full Radar View) saves an area of a map in 1:1, 1:2, 1:4 or 1:16 zoom -Installation made easier (especially on Vista/Win7) with a .bat file script that registers the required dll and ocx files. The script has to be run as administrator. It's not a clean package thing, but it gets the job done. Now that the source code is back to its normal, I might be able to do some more quick fixes or minor improvements. Don't expect much new major features in the near future, though.
  13. This is now done You can save a portion of a map in 1:1, 1:2, 1:4, or 1:16 ratio as a bitmap screenshot (bmp only for now) Note that if the screenshot size goes over 10000 pixels wide or high, it usually gives an error. The interface for it is pretty basic, it could be much better, but it will have to do for now... Possible improvements: -Render grid and render lvz objects options -Resize/move area by clicking and dragging the red rectangle -Save as PNG -Render 'WYSIWYG' File -> Save Full Radar View... The currently visible portion of your map will be selected by default. Attached 2 screenshots of what the dialog looks like, and an example output at 1:4. This is included in release 3.4.16, available at the new sourceforge site.
  14. http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/9418/keydefssamapico.th.png No 'message' key required, most keys are default... didn't bother labeling all the default keys I use an AutoHotkey script to ignore the windows key when I'm playing Continuum, this allows me to use the key as a macro key. It's ideal for attach, or some other intensively used macro. #SingleInstance #NoTrayIcon DetectHiddenWindows, On #IfWinActive ahk_class SSClientMainWndClass RWin:: LWin Up:: return
  15. Whew... that was a huge pain in the ***. Turns out the code I had on my computer was not working, since I was trying to implement some new stuff that turned out to not work very well. Luckily I had the code for the 3.4.14 version, and it seems the updates from .14 to .15 were very minor. I still had to do some (i.e. a lot) of cleaning up to make sure to use all the bug fixes that were spread in my non-working copy. So it now compiles fine, and it should be working fine. I added support for the new region attributes in ASSS 1.5.0: rNRA (no receive antiwarp) and nNRW (no receive weapons). This should be available shortly.

  18. I was about to try to update a few things in DCME, when I noticed opensvn.csie.org shut down in May... Kind of lucky I have the full source on my hard drive despite a few reformats and hard drive swaps. Gonna move the thing on Sourceforge I guess.
  19. Fail
  20. haha 2007: Myspace > Facebook
  21. durrrr indeed
  22. Click on it to enlarge it And I just read it before coming here... I didn't find/notice the subspace sunken island though.
  23. You might want to elaborate a bit on what's the zone about and what needs to be done.
  24. Do you have Vista or Win7 by any chance? Try this http://forums.ssgn.net/index.php?showtopic=13180&st=0&p=243482entry243482
  25. Semi-related, but much better idea: You should be messaged the ?lancs list when you join ?flag
