Usually, anti-virus or anti-spyware programs are the source of a problem like this But we never were able to establish a direct relation between particular programs or whatever... Usually works, but doesn't work for some people sometimes.

A Continuum account on your other computer? Or an account of something else? If it's a Continuum account, there is no problem is using it on two different computers (just not at the same time, obviously) But make sure you enter the right password And make sure that you are changing the "PLAYER NAME" , not PROFILE NAME. You can have multiple profiles using the same Player name. The profile name doesn't matter at all If you're trying to create a NEW account, as your thread !@#$%^&*le suggests, then make sure the name does not already exists. If it exists, it will tell you that the password is invalid. So you'd better try with a random-ish name first like Purge said. Just don't use special characters at the beginning. Once you get in, you can check for existing names with ?find playername. It will say 'Unknown user.' if the name does not exist, and then you can create it. On a side note, when creating accounts, enter your real e-mail address... It will be useful if you forget your password.

Yeah, exactly. And I think that is exactly what this thread is about. I don't see anyone litteraly crying over this. It is sad, but I don't think it makes people here 'sad' on a personnal level. And famous people dying is just normal to see in the medias... Sure sometimes they exagerate, but they can't talk about everyone who dies. They just talk about the death of people that are more known, or deaths that are particularly horrible/spectacular/whatever. In the article you stated, the case DID get in the medias (hence the article), but the 'impact radius' of it is rather small, so you won't see CNN talking about it. But this time, a guy playing in front of millions of people (via the TV ) every week gets killed; they can't just not talk about it... They have to say it And if they say he died, they have to say how. I don't think they glorify his death really. They'll just honor is life by showing his accomplishments and things like that. You are probably using a 256 colors (8bits) color depth in Continuum. So if your background isn't totally black (0,0,1 for example) it won't be noticed by you because the color will be "rounded" to full-black. But alot of people use 16bits so it won't be fully black for them, therefore not transparent.
