Clicking again on 'Save' usually does the trick. If you wait, probably an autosave kicks in and gets rid of the dialog That's because you actually have a floating selection on your map... It does save the map fine when it says that, it's just a warning, as in 'anything you have in your selection will not be saved'. Just take the selection tool and right-click somewhere to drop the selection, or hit Delete to delete it.

When saving, before deleting the current lvl file, it renames it to .bak, then saves the current map to .lvl So if you save twice, you might have a bit more reliable backup I guess The progress bar stopping at 99% is annoying, but usually you can still do stuff (like click save again, and this time it will go to 100% and disappear) Maybe the combination of the floating selection complicates things... Either way, I'll have to fix that annoying progress bar (or remove it ?). I just have no idea why it doesn't disappear sometimes, never was able to reproduce the bug reliably. I think I'll remove it for now... it's not coded very well anyway. Perhaps adding a status bar at the bottom would be better, and less prone to bugs compared to the current one, which is an independent form shown above all. It does look nice, though...

The guillotine part 2 started not too bad... decent riffs... then this ugly breakdown came up... then the (poor) clean voice came in (not that the harsh voice is much better) ... bleh... I tried, but no... Not my thing

I didn't really need it converted, thanks anyway. The back and forth conversion screwed up the equation editor stuff anyway; and we just finished the lab report straight and printed it right away. Also, 99% of the time I am able to save as .docx... just not this particular do!@#$%^&*ent. I even was able to save it a couple of times in docx, it just reached a certain point where it didn't work anymore. And there's nothing too special in there... Though, I noticed something weird that did happen both on my computer and my friend's: At some point, the equations had some kind of ... offset.. when you selected them, the rectangle around them was like half a line too low, compared to the actual text of the equation behind it. Maybe that's part of the source of the problem; some formatting issue that crashes it. I'll have to move stuff around and make tests sometime. Now that I think of it.. My friend has Vista too, and we still had the problem. We both use the same installation of Office though... and a non-validated version too. Hmm...

Next time, tell them you have to take them away for being suspected of providing information to terrorist organization about airport security

I didn't want to start a war here... I only listened to like 2 seconds of it, but it sounded like the girls from Tokio Hotel... and no one will make me believe that the singer of Tokio Hotel is a man. No one. I mean... look at this (or preferrably, don't) I know what X`terr will say about that pic, but normal people beware: You can't unsee what your eyes will see Spoiler! --Click here to view--http://www.deedeecus.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/tokio-hotel-ta03.jpg Spoiler! --Click here to view--It technically is a man, for all you dudes who just thought "oh, she's not that bad..." Hmm... I'm going offtopic again

Games that I enjoyed a lot for the storyline (in order i played them): -Freespace 2 (space shooter; mission-based) -Half-Life (HL1 is old, but it's worth playing it before playing HL2) -Freelancer (space shooter / free-roaming, almost RPG-ish) All these games have a very unpredictable storyline, lots of events, very immersive universes
-
Exactly... cause you might not have noticed that, but the 2 bases and soccer is also what was there when it started to lose population
-
I think they'll start to suspect you for terrorism if you take all these pics

Google couldn't help me with that one... Basically, at some point in my lab report, I was unable to save in the docx format. -Doing 'Save' popped up the 'Save as...' dialog (not normal) -While the dialog is up, Word's process takes 100% cpu... well, 50% since I have a dual core, so it's probably just one thread doing an infinite loop -The file I save it to is 0 bytes -Saving as 2003 format (.doc) works fine I'm thinking it has to do with equations in my do!@#$%^&*ent (Word saves equations as images when saving in 2003 format) What the !@#$%^&*? If I do Save as... and try to save it on another name, same thing happens; the dialog pops back up again, while the CPU is still busy "saving" to a 0 bytes file... Basically, I'm guessing something goes wrong, and it never gets to close the file handle. I could not find anything about this issue though. http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5008/word2k7su0.png Oh, also... The SAAAAAAAAAAAAME thing happened when using my friend's laptop, for the same report... So it's probably not even related to my computer. It really has to do with something we put in there... But what exactly? Could any of you guys with Word 2007 try to open the file attached, which is in .doc format, and save it as 2007 .docx format; and tell me if that works for you Also, I'm on XP pro... maybe it doesn't happen on Vista, dunno ING160_Rapport_de_lab1_final_2k3.doc

Hmmm, you were starting DCMEbackup.exe? If I remember right, dcme tries to delete DCMEbackup.exe when it starts, because it's just a backup created during the autoupdate. But yeah, there are some problems with the auto-update if you were updating from too far back sometimes. I suggest getting 3.4.01 on http://dcme.sscentral.com , in the downloads section. It says Beta, but it's less buggy then the stable versions. There are a few graphical glitches, but you'll notice it's also like 3x faster.

I think this have been said before... But it's funny how any discussion about US politics ends up in a discussion about religion

BLASPHEMY! also sama, why not 1) get a new joystick, or 2) use a 360 controller. Cause all that costs money

My 'Games' folder used to be filled with dozens of games. Cool games too. Today.. let's see... Portal is still installed (I went through it in a few days couple of months ago, never played it again), Age of Empires 2 is installed (only game I play semi-regularly, in multiplayer with some buddies), got ZSnes (felt like playing Megaman X 2 weeks ago, played it all the way through), and obviously, Continuum is there too. And that's it. I have a !@#$%^&*load of awesome games though, I just don't feel like starting them up again... I pretty much beat all of them too. There are very few games that interest me anymore. One thing I'm waiting for is Black Mesa, a recreation of the original Half-Life using the Source engine. And unlike the official Half-Life Source, the graphics and models and everything are completely redone. By an independent team too, should be fun. A contributing factor in my not-playing-games phase is my loyal Joystick being broken (for like the 4th time). I'll have to re-solder 2 wires in there some day. It's the same wires that broke everytime... I never really had good soldering equipment, so the fix never was really clean... And the wires are getting tired with all this resoldering Hmm, playing MechWarrior 3 with that joystick was awesome.

No one seem to have answered this yet... The BanID is a unique ID given to each individual ban, it's not !@#$%^&*ociated to a particular offense type. Mods/admins can add a ban comment with each ban that describe the offense, but these concern each individual ban, and often contains information that should not be disclosed (aliases, IP's, etc.) So yeah, disregard that question Also, your argument about new people getting banned leaving or whatever... You do get a warn first (for most offenses, anyway); if someone keeps breaking the rule(s) after a warn, chances are Brain's crew don't even want that person in the zone. Quality is more important than quan!@#$%^&*y <_< 10 nice people is more fun than 200 cheaters in a zone.

Somewhere else between your computer and the server It usually goes away after a while
-
Last I heard, this was in fact due to the server delaying/filtering PING's. So the packetloss that appears in the trace is not valid at all. It only affects ping's, not game data transferred, since not the same ports are involved.
-
It largely depends on how often the name was used, how long ago it was created, and how much usage it has. No one knows exactly how this is handled and it's probably a pretty complex formula. If you create a name and login once with it for 2 minutes, chances are it will be deleted after 2 or 3 months. If your name has a few thousand hours of usage, chances are it will never be deleted.

Your post make it seem as if many people said 'OMG SSC WILL CRASH IF TOO MANY PEOPLE', when in fact it's just the discussion leading to 'It happened before, just make sure that the servers (not SSC) are ready)' As for Steam and whatever, I think we need to have some kind of control over the client to do anything like that in the first place. And as it is, only Priitk has control over the client.
