  1. That's why he wants 24bits
  2. But that's pretty much against the definition of an 'achievement'
  3. You could try finding the registry where that setting is put... perhaps you can trick it into using 24bits. Though I have no idea if you can even do that with linux/wine... Other more linux-experienced people might help you with that if needed
  4. Why would you want that? Do you have problems running it at 32bits? Or even 16 bits... Since it's space, and 90% of your screen is filled with black at all times, I doubt you'll see much difference between 16 and 24 or 32 bits On top of that, MOST graphics in Continuum are 256 colors. Actually, all default graphics are, and probably over half the tilesets you see are in 256 colors. And even zones using a lot of custom graphics usually try to use 256 colors to save on the download times, and also because by default, everyone will enter with 256 colors.
  5. qwerty is better than abcd... of course... that's not the point. There are other configurations that result in overall less movements of your fingers and such http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QWERTY http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvorak_Simplified_Keyboard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout#Colemak
  6. well, it's just what he needs to eat subways
  7. Well, it should be noted that these achievements would only happen ONCE per player. So staff wouldn't be hunted all the time by everyone
  8. My Outlook now has 6 different accounts to check lol my hotmail, my school email, 17th parallel, dcme, and 2 gmails of mine... one being useless (samapico on the gmail), the other being simply an alias email that sounds more professional than 'samapico' (and my school email is long as !@#$%^&*, and won't last forever)
  9. ya, this keyboard is mainly for fast data entry. they claim that its easier to learn than a qwerty keyboard yeah, but it probably is easier for people who have not learned qwerty yet... I'd be confused for a long time if I was to use that. Especially since I often use other computers like at school or whatever.
  10. nice thanks
  11. Actually, QWERTY is a load of !@#$%^&*
  12. I heard she reached puberty 2 days ago, they just popped out
  13. This thread is kinda sad
  14. Could sound like a death threat
  15. Were you single?
  16. The way I read it, there is water and food and all of this when they are found dead
  17. I checked out original on youtube ... 5mil views, 5 stars? I thought it was pretty boring/dumb/re!@#$%^&*ed.. wtf Help make the world a better place, rate it 1 star
  18. Hmmmm.......... I don't Do you mean like if it has to draw a partial tile on the right? oh ok I have it now.. It only seems to happen if only complete tiles fit in your window (i.e. the preview has a width of a multiple of 16) Interesting... interesting...
  19. Get it now From http://dcme.sscentral.com New beta release available 3.4.0 - 29/09/2008 I'm almost done with all these improvements in DCME. A few things are still left to do, which is why this release is not yet available through auto-update. Basically, the whole process of drawing stuff on the screen is about 2 to 4 times faster. Several details are now properly rendered as well. For example, transparent fly-under tiles are now rendered with transparency, and each LVZ image is on its respective layer. Several other things have been fixed or improved: Ellipses and special shapes are not slow to draw anymore, and are more accurate All known memory leaks are fixed Walltiles now have their own tab in the tileset !@#$%^&*S regions are now handled MUCH faster There are a few minor known glitches in this release, mainly graphic-related, but nothing critical. You should try it out. Please report any anomaly on our forum. -Samapico There are also probably a couple of things I was using to debug that were left there... And I just remembered I didn't remove the tile preview thing, it's still at that ugly spot, half over the tileset's toolbar I also want to see if the new system has any compatibility issues. I'm curious to see if it works on windows 95 or 98... If anyone has that, try stuff involving transparency, and ASSS regions, see what it does It will either be very slow, or simply won't work. There is a chance most of this work on 98 though. But anyway, basically no one is using these OS anymore, according to stats from here and dcme.sscentral.com, so I'm not worried
  20. Well first it should animate if you open it locally, I believe XP's 'Image preview' thing shows animated gifs or drag-drop it in an internet explorer window
  21. I just made the cogwheel much smoother... But I know there are some standards for gear dimensions, to make sure they fit together. Like the internal radius should be X fraction of the contact radius (forgot what that one was called) Anyway... if anyone around here have quick links to these kind of things, would be nice. Cogwheels could be nicer, and most likely be drawn faster too, cause we could draw them with a predictable number of lines, instead of drawing a segment for each fraction of circle
