Also, the 'speed' of your connection is not necessarily linked to your ping in subspace. The ping is the time it takes for a packet to get to the server and back. A higher bandwidth only means you can send more packets, but if the server is in a basement in New-Zealand and you have to go through 400 nodes to get there, you'll still have a lot of lag. So most likely, you have less bandwidth, but the route is quicker between you, your new isp and the server than it was with the older one.
