The bot itself would be configured to only check for 'this' achievement or 'that' one. So it would only be checking for the pieces of data it NEEDS, instead of sending a lot of (mostly useless) information to the server. Sure, you could have it only send to the server the useful information, but if you 'sort' the needed information out from the rest, you might as well process that piece of information right now. The programming would be the same to determine if an achievement is complete, whether it's coded in the plugin, or in the server. Sending all that data to the server would pose a similar; if not greater; problem, I think. Also, CPU "costs" less than bandwidth. The less bandwidth used the better for those who pay for the zone servers. It would have to send data to the server once in a while, of course, but it would only need to send the useful numbers. If an achievement requires one to have 100 kills in a warbird while carrying a flag, it would send the number of kills he had in a warbird while carrying a flag. If a zone has, say, 50 achievements with each 2 combined conditions, that's only 100 values to send in the worse case (that is, if all the values are changed between 2 updates) If an achievement requires you to get 100 kills in each of the 8 ships, then the plugin would keep 8 values updated on the server on a periodic basis. And you could see the progress on the site for that achievement, for example. That's how I'd do it, anyway. It eliminates A LOT of data you might not need. Like keeping track of all the flags and players at given times. You can just have the plugin do something when one of the events actually occur, instead of tracking everything and then checking if the event has occured in that large chunk of data. You seem to be underestimating the speed at which a plugin or module can process events... Though I understand your concern of abusing the CPU, but as I said, Bandwidth = $$$, CPU not really (I doubt servers will need to be upgraded to run that)

Some people just don't understand that fixing problems is usually much more complicated than finding "HI, I'M THE BROKEN LINE LULZ" in a text file, and replace it with "NOW IT SHOULD WORK" I don't even know what the issue actually is, but I can safely say that Lera doesn't know what she is talking about. Developers do this shit on their free time without being paid in any way. People should be thankful for what they do instead of whining about things they have not done...

Sam jacks off with the cops if it's wednesday, thursday, or monday. Sam usually invents things down an alley in order to help treat global warming. I'm a perverted genius.

I'M IN VACATION NOW Well, almost... Had my last exam this afternoon. But I have some report to finish for Saturday. We programmed this cool little robot in assembly with a HCS12 microcontroller, and we have to make a report on it and show a demo of the robot. It will have to navigate through some kind of maze. Very basic stuff, it just avoids walls as it sees them, it doesn't 'remember' the walls it finds or anything... Might have a little video to show after the demo.

I'm pretty sure it would be more efficient if the bot did that kind of work itself... Otherwise it will clog the network by sending data to the server; and if you delay/queue information, you'll have problems: -No way to tell the player he completed an achievement right away -Very complicated to determine if an achievement was actually accomplished, especially when you have combined conditions -You'll find yourself sending a ton of useless data to the server. You don't need to send flag data if the zone doesn't use any accomplishments involving flags, for example. -You'll be limiting yourself a lot, overall imo, the CPU usage for checking player positions and things like that is very low compared to the hassle/network usage for sending stuff to one server. Even if you queue events and send them in batch, you'll end up with huge queue of events to send. Globally, you end up with more treatment too. The bot or module 'has' the data, instead of just treating it, you'd have to repack it packets, send it; then receive them on the other end, unpack them to get the data, and then treat it.

I'll probably stay a while in my hometown during my 3 1/2 weeks of vacations. Not much of a trip, but still. only 1 hour/70km away from here

Easy way not to contaminate everyone when you sneeze: Sneeze on your arm or on your sleeve... Sneezing in your hands won't help much as you touch a lot of things after anyway. But your arm won't touch much.

UK ISPs switch on mass Wikipedia censorship

Also, there are several servers spread on the planet, but the IP's root gave will be routed to the nearest of those servers for you. -
I'll give you a hint W-O at the same time for first step Q-P for next step W-O... Q-P alternate 2 inside keys, 2 outside, inside, outside; that's how I see it For the very first step, you might want to press O a bit before W to get the first propulsion right

You should check out the 'other games' link just under the game... The guy has 3 games; try that ninja game, it's awesome lol

Ok ok... it can crash a server.. but not the 'zone' itself. It can freeze the machine if it abuses a database or something, and well it could delete system files too if you want it too; it's a dll after all... But you know what I was talking about anyway

Looks like fully naked to me, with shattered glass in front of her genitals... But I still agree with you That, or your ISP doesn't want you to go there? -

I'm wondering... does this have anything to do with DNS? If someone uses OpenDNS, for example, would it 'ignore' domain restrictions set by the ISP? If so... then I strongly suggest you guys to use it :/ You just have to set the correct IP in your connection's properties as DNS server. I switched to that after my university had problems with their DNS, I kept losing DNS resolving ability at least once every hour and had to 'repair' the connection. It sucked. Never had a single issue with OpenDNS yet -
What? I HATE sneezing... it irritates the throat, it hurts my head, ... I don't know such thing as a 'fun' sneeze
