Well, 8 is the first with a relatively high max, but I can sorta understand a 260 max. More concerned with the liquidweb servers. Does everyone go through those, or is it just me? Someone please post a trace to MG so I can compare.

The high on hop 7 is 30ms, that's not it.

Iono, after like 25 reboots (no exagg.) it began working again. He's buying a new one soon, so it shouldn't be a problem as long as he never turns it off.

A friend called me and said he's having troubles with his PC. First of all, the sound isn't working. I've ran him through a few tests over the phone, and it seems the computer recognizes the sound drivers, the sound just doesn't work. Sometimes when he boots up, the screen just stays blank. My first question is: If the boot GUI is disabled in Windows, and the computer runs chkdisk scan when it boots, will it show up? It apparently stays on a black screen for a LONG time, eventually causing you to reboot it. Happens in Safe Mode as well. Sometimes it boots straight up, others it's just a black screen. It's not possible to listen to the sounds to see if the computer boots, because the sound isn't working. I need to gather ideas to test tomorrow when I get my hands on it. _If_ reinstalling sound drivers doesn't work, what else is there to try? Do you think the elongated black screen is due to Windows boot GUI being disabled? Also, would boot GUI be re-enabled by default when attempting to boot in Safe Mode? Thanks.

I have a few complaints here and there about spiking while I'm playing and I finally decided to take a look for myself. I always have some sort of ridiculous high, like 2000ms. Only happens in Metal Gear. Nope, only beat it on the first two difficulties. My friend uses the Felin-2C too.. we did a swap weapon once and I didn't like it. Seemed like the ammo ran out sorta fast.

I've ran Vista without Windows Aero on 512MB of RAM. 1GB is plenty to run Home Premium, I just don't know about Ultimate because I've never used it. Just get 1gb and upgrade if you ever need it.

It doesn't work exactly like that, Sama. I'm not sure how it works. It specs me all the time for the same thing and I don't even use wireless.
