Wow, that easy. Thanks Brainy. =]

My profile resolution is set to 1920x1080 on my only profile on the list. However, if I close the client or leave and rejoin a zone, my resolution on the drop down menu changes back down to 1280x1024. Only solution is to open profile list and click OK, or change from drop down menu.. it's just annoying. Anyone have an idea?

One of my friends was looking at those headphones. Then he listened to my Creative Fata1ity MKII Headset compared to the Beatz headphones he listened to at Walmart and..well.. he decided to go the cheaper route claiming "yours sound so much better". You're paying for a name there.

I have a Nokia E71x.

That's what I had to do.

Had the same problem on my 7 64 machine. DEP fixes it.

Reported fake Intel CPU sold at Newegg (first build ever - i7 920)
Shock replied to L.C.'s topic in General Discussion
Wowwwww. I wouldn't know what to think if that happened to me. Glad I decided to stick with AMD on my build. Not to mention, I think the Phenom II series of AM3 processors is right up there with the i7 in terms of speed.. also much much cheaper. -
Usually with Dell coupons, they want you to spend a grand before their coupon even benefits your purchase. $500 is a slightly..small budget, but not impossible to work with. I've had enough of Dell laptops, so pass on that. I work at a local computer shop as a technician, and we've been selling this: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-MSI-A5000-025US-15-6-Laptop-3GB-250GB-HDMI-WebCam_W0QQitemZ270529659527QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLaptops_Nov05?hash=item3efcd30287 Ignore the fact that it's ebay. I don't believe there are currently any retail shops you can purchase it from. It has a 3 year warranty, which is great. From our seller, we were informed that the first year is an accidental warranty as well. The laptop itself is very nice looking. The touchpad has purple and green LED's below it to notify HDD usage and battery meter. The only thing that kinda sucks about it is the single-core processor. It handles Windows 7 like a beast, though. IntelĀ® T3000 processor 15.6" WXGA widescreen LCD (1366 x 768 resolution) 3 GB DDR2 memory (2 Dimm) 250GB hard drive capacity Supermulti DVD-RW optical drive 802.11b/g/n WLAN 1.3 megapixel webcam Nvidia GeForce 8200M-G video graphics HD audio with 2 speakers HDMI port 3 USB 2.0 ports 4-in-1 card reader PCI Express slot VGA port 103-key keyboard 65-watt AC adapter 6 cell battery Windows 7 Home Premium

Yes, actually. I wasn't really referring to up-to-date as much as I was having the right driver.. but whatever works. I'm currently fighting a series of blue screens, so I've had to individually update all of my drivers to please the people at techsupportforum.com while they help me. Haha.
-
Ah, awesome. With HD audio, you need the Microsoft UAA driver as well. There was probably some sort of missing part or corruption there. Glad you got it working.
-
Um. Just a quick note. You may want to make sure you've got the right audio driver for your motherboard. A few times, I've had it download a driver via windows update and install, but it was completely the wrong driver. Windows fails because some device and hardware I.D's are identical, so you get stuck with the wrong driver. Just something to try. Also, you may want to take a look at the Vista and 7 support threads here. I'd give DEP a shot for sure. It's known to cause a few problems.

Same problem here. I have my monitor hooked up HDMI, so my sound _should_ come out through my monitor speakers, but it doesn't on Continuum. So I use a set of regular speakers and I hear all sounds except for Continuum sounds. No idea what to do here.
-
Continuum has and always will be a humongous glitch with a built-in spaceship game. I've had so many random problems that I don't even care anymore. Good luck figuring this one out. I would give it a go if I could recreate the problem..but I doubt it.
-
Mm.. Eyefinity. I saw videos on YouTube about it. I was gonna get a 5770, but I was more concerned with overall graphics than multiple monitor support through Eyefinity. So I settled for a 4890. Maybe I'll grab a 5870 in the next year and check it out. Looks quite interesting, I must say.
-
Downloaded it for PC. It's surprisingly a tough game. I like it a lot. Lots of stuff to do and a decently long game play. I think I'm only halfway through it right now and I've been playing on and off for like 3 weeks.
-
Thanks man. I was too lazy to go through the list. DEP fixed it. Thanks again.
-
Well.. it used to work, but now it just pops up with the busy cursor for a split second and exits. Even with an uninstall/reinstall. Continuum .40 from getcontinuum.com. What can I try? Too lazy to try and figure it out myself. Thanks.

^That is sick. I never heard about that. Anyways, freak.. fix it?

You can always get Bart PE and boot into that. That way you can see if it will let you access your hard drive/recover files etc. I'm with this guy. From the sound of it, you bumped the HDD a little too hard. Probably a bad sector like someone mentioned. Boot into BartPE and run a check disk on the drive. The blue screen is likely UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME or INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. If you press F8 for advanced options and disable automatic restart on system failure, you will see the blue screen. If it's one of the two above, use BartPE to run a check disk, or slave the HDD to another machine and run it from there. Just a little notice.. when BartPE asks you for the drive, make sure you put C:, not just C (assuming C is the Windows directory). Best of luck. If you're not familiar with BartPE or PEbuilder, I suggest you torrent an already made .ISO of BartPE for Windows XP and burn the .ISO to a CD. Don't try to make the .ISO yourself, especially with a Vista install CD; it's not necessary to have a Vista version. EDIT: Whoops, I read it wrong. No blue screen, haha. Disregard the blue screen part and try the BartPE thing. BPE is a veryyyy useful utility. =]

http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=13180&st=0&p=243297entry243297 All you have to do is go to C:\Program Files\Continuum and rename Continuum.exe and it will stop reloading itself. As far as the problem goes, read that. There are a lot of programs that seem to cause an issue with Continuum, but the list will never be complete. I've had Warcraft 3 cause problems for me, but others have no issue whatsoever. Sometimes it's not as simple as uninstalling programs by process of elimination, because it won't always fix the problem. You could system restore back to when it worked and install the programs from that time to now one-by-one until you find the culprit. I would just reformat the machine. Otherwise, try creating another user account on the computer and running it from that. It probably won't work, but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

The Intel thingy is a driver for onboard video..which doesn't seem to have drivers installed..or it has another problem, hence the yellow icon. I had ATi's equivilant to the GeForce 5200 and it ran Continuum HORRIBLY. Install the correct drivers for your Intel onboard video and remove the video card from the machine. You don't seem to play any games other than Continuum..because that card isn't going to allow you to play much.
-
I wish they would have better addressed this issue instead of throwing .40 into the mix so quickly. Btw, hi Sama! :>
-
If it's Windows XP and the computer freezes, check and see how hot your video card is getting. It sounds like an overheating issue to me.
-
Mm.. PartitionMagic. Windows has the Disk Management tool.. you can try that.
-
If it just started, then System Restore. I seriously have no idea why this crap always happens.. but, like I stated in a previous topic: Warcraft 3 being installed would make this same thing happen to me. However, plenty of other people could do this and experience no problems. Easy way to check if it's a service, boot in Safe Mode with Networking and play Continuum and see if it works.. That should narrow it down for you.
