I was always an Epic Megagames fan... at least, before Unreal destroyed the company's vision. Back with games like Tyrian, One Must Fall, Jazz the Jackrabbit... of course, I liked Apogee too, but Epic Megagames was always better. Oh, crap, they had those awesome pinball games too....

A ban of 0 days is essentially a banfree, at least when given by Ghost Ship.

Well, I was getting about 2 turns an hour, which is certainly not 96 turns a day. I have more turns now, but I don't know if that's because people gave them to me, or because the game started giving me more. 96 turns a day would be plenty.

It's insanely hard to get turns now. Admittedly there were too many last round, but this is even worse. Is someone going to fix this?

How does it affect your stats, and how does it affect item use? Like, can only trained attackers use items, or do they maybe use them more effectively? Does training an attacker take away from defense, since untrained seem to act like an in between unit? etc.

Yeah... something is seriously messed up with my computer. I installed SubSet, and now it works. =\ I have other issues, but I'm 99% sure they're my own.

Holy !@#$%^&*, this is really weird. I think I used to have SubSet installed, and I uninstalled it, and now DCME is trying to re-install it. Wtf? Does DCME use Subset or something, and it wants it back? I don't get it. Basically, when I doubleclick DCME.exe, the process for dcme comes up, and then Subset tries to install. I can't close the installer for SubSet, and the install is never successful, and when I cancel it, it just starts another one. I have to end the DCME process for this to stop. O_o

You can't weasel out of this. By continuing to support the decision makers, you are supporting the decision. You've done nothing, meaning, you've accomplished nothing. And as for "trying", trying implies there's hope that what you do is going to work, which there isn't. And as if we needed any more proof, you seem to have copied a line straight from Jeri himself. Just because you get backed into a corner doesn't mean it's time for the topic to be closed and the discussion to be dropped. The matter is not closed, so neither is the topic.

Dav, you seem to be evading/ignoring the fact that Suicide_Run got banned for no reason. You know this for a fact, and I dare you to offer any evidence otherwise. You're standing by and supporting a decision that you know is unjust. While your intentions were good, you're still on the side of wrong at this point. This means you're just as corrupt as Vili and Jeri. You might fool some people with the mature act, but you're not fool enough to think you've changed anything. For all your words, you've done nothing. And to top it off, you've just explained to us that you're going to keep doing exactly what you've been doing. And you expect this matters to us. Come back when either one, you grow a back bone, or two, you become useful. So the first post still stands, DS staff is corrupt, don't go there.

There's more a sysop can do. Such as quitting. I did the same thing when in your position. I don't think resigning my position would do anything at all other then put someone else in my place and leave me where I can do nothing in future. When situations arise that can be solved through negotiation I usually do it and sometimes its successful. I sometimes feel that if I leave DS my strength in this area will be lost from the zone just as if witchie NL left we would lose someone that knows out bots well or if Viligante went we wouldn't have the strong leadership structure we do now. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and a resignation from me would no noone any good nor I think make a statement that would lead to change. Instead I think my place is to remain where I am and work with all the DS staff to make sure things like this don't happen again. What has come out of this is the ban guides have been improved and I am now the zones BanG admin so hopefully future cases wont have such a problem but i suppose only time will tell what this sysop can do in the long-run. If both you and Witchie left, the zone would die. Vili and Jeri sure can't run it. And if the zone died, it could be brought back by someone who wasn't Vili. Your supporting DS has only lost you any respect you've gained throughout SS history, and it's only getting worse. People now talk about you as if you were as corrupt and abusive as Viligante and Jeri. That's why I say quit. You're not making DS any better as it is now, as we've just proven. You "handled" this case and only got it more !@#$%^&*ed up. I can continue with about a hundred different reasons why you should quit.

What about the "bug" where you can edit a tileset of a map you're currently playing? A lot of people do it in TW events so they can tell the difference between fly over/under tiles, and hard tiles, because the tilesets have tiles that look the same. To create mazes or something of that sort.

Dav, when DS has no complaints about staff it's because all the ones who complain are banned, and the ones left are keeping quiet so they don't get banned as well. I like you, Dav, but you continue to defend something you KNOW is wrong. That goes for anyone playing DS, as well. How stupid can you be? If you KNOW staff is abusive and they refuse to listen to your words, then the only thing you have left to do is leave the zone. Simply by playing the zone you are supporting the very people you speak against. That makes you a hypocrite in every sense of the word. Mav, I re-read your post and Slicer's post, and nothing is changed. I don't know this particular situation, but I know the people involved, which counts for way more. First off, take that !@#$%^&* out of your sig, there is no SSZ server and you own nothing. You are nothing, and you hold no sway over SSC matters, or any Continuum matters at all except for what goes on in the zone that you've helped to ruin. You DEFINITELY don't have any say in what goes on in SSForum, and no one's going to close this thread. The only thing that might happen is this gets moved to Spamstation. It's true criz did lots of things to be banned, but I know him and he actually likes DS. I'm 99% sure he wouldn't have done anything to get banned until after being banned or silenced unfairly at least once. And as for justifying things like bans for what people are saying in chat, there are silence commands. That eliminates all those problems, so it doesn't justify a ban in the least. And how do you justify Vili doing things like banning entire squads so his squad won't lose to them? If every questionable ban made in DS was protested on SSForum, this place would be absolutely swamped. There's no excuse for pretty much anything Vili has done in DS since LT left. I'd like to say again, that if you disagree with the way DS is run then STAY OUT. Vili won't run a zone full of bots forever. The only reason he's lasted this long is because of YOu going to DS again, and again. Unfortunately, this is the only way left to handle things. The decentralization of SubSpace is a good thing, but it relies on players doing what's right. I don't know how to put this any other way. If you disagree with what's going on, then quit supporting them.

Mav, Slicer, same could be said for you two, don't talk unless you understand the issue from all angles. I know Suicide_Run and he's dealt with Viligante for a long time, he isn't saying this because of one event. Anyone who knows anything about DS knows the staff is insanely abusive. Vili hasn't done anything for the zone, he's just a power hungry player that's managed to get ahold of a popular zone. Viligante has made countless bans with no justifiable reason, and it's way past the point we even need to bother to listen to his excuses, which he rarely bothers to give, because we've heard them before. If you really want to know what it's like, just try entering the zone one day and asking the owner some questions about his ban policy. Chances are you'll promptly be banned, then hopefully you won't have to question anyone else who complains.
