Aah! My name has been changed to Animate Dead! Lol, I'd feel like an idiot if I had that name. Oh, and, add DeynaDaSeraph to the list, she's gonna be in the tournament if possible.

Dark, I choose 2 paper! Try and beat Saddam now!

Lol, Kilo, you underestimate Charcoal. I've personally seen him hack through multiple freqs of 5, to steal the flags and win the game.

In soviet Russia, summer school takes you! In other news, my cat seems to have a hairball. My sister took summer school once, and, if there's a class you think you won't be able to pass Take it in summer school. My sister, being the geek she is, spent her summer teaching the Geometry teacher Geometry. After a while, the teacher gave up, as he has many times in his life(which is how he landed the position), turned on the TV and they watched Montel and Ricky Lake for the rest of the summer. And it was good. It's summer again, this time my sister's going to summer school for College. Unfortunately, she calls it MayMester. All this work, and after several more years, she'll become a Math Teacher in High School! Where, she'll get to teach summer school! Isn't the circle of life great?

Heh, maturity is definitely something needed in order to be a moderator. But age is not, they can be separate. The whole of SubSpace is ran by... kids, as a general rule. Crusty old guys like Ninja either don't play, or if they do, have jobs and don't want/have the time to run a zone, or even mod it. Now in Charcoal's defense, he knows what he's doing when it comes to staff, and he does it without looking dumb or making anyone else look dumb. In this particular case I think Char would be fine as a mod here, he might exploit bugs and speed hack or whatever else now, but if he was a mod he'd be too protective of his position.... As it is now, all he has to lose if he gets caught is the money that he got doing it. Even if he got away with it, instead of suspecting him of cheating, they'd suspect him of abusing ?grants. He knows this, and he wouldn't bother. Besides, I think he does it so he has something to show off, and why do you need cash if you're a mod and you control everyone else's? Not that I'm saying Charcoal needs to be made a mod. In response to the statements about how people who ask for mod position won't get given mod, that's not true. The only person I ever hired asked for mod position. Although, they also showed me an awesome arena.... And for the rest of DS, we've had... at least 5 mods recently that were hired because they were asked to be. That may also have to do with the fact that the zone owner has been drunk for the past 10 days straight. Myself, I was hired at DS after asking to be. But then again, this was also after being asked to join staff and turning it down a couple months prior. I think the reasoning behind people not getting staff that ask is because they look like an eager noob trying to get power, while everyone the zone's staff thinks is competent while they're looking for mods is already staffed there. If they're not looking for mods, you're probably not going to get in, are you? Still, though.... as a general rule, those guys were right. You probably won't get made mod. Desperate? Go searching one of the lesser known zones on the lesser known servers. It's fairly easy then.

Lol, I don't care about my post count. More thinking, "Someone might actually notice that person doesn't have a name. I'd like for someone to know that it was me." Especially since I mentioned Lanvalk, and she might find it weird that she didn't know who I was. Now, posts like this...these increase my post count. ^-^ And I just realized; this is post number 50! Which means I've actually spent a bit of time on here. Not much, because while I really like message boards, I'm far too lazy for them. I'd like to take this time to slap someone...but I can't come up with a good slappee, so I guess I'll withhold until my 100th post or something. Which would be almost special, maybe, if someone almost cared.
-
I must say, that was weird. I saw 50%'s name and immediately remembered that I didn't like him for some reason. Then I remembered, No, that's not 50% that I dislike, that must be someone else. Then I felt like apologizing, before realizing that I hadn't even done anything yet. Then I read the post. 50%, I can tell you how that would end. Everyone participating would end up with a reset account and at least a day of ban, and you'd be banned for a minimum of a month. There are lots of people that quite like the rule, like me, and I know I'm not the only one because I've discussed this before. While I haven't talked to Brain on the matter, I'm pretty sure the rule is there to keep this a family-friendly zone. And, it works well, just not incredibly so. If you can't keep yourself from using these words, then by all means, stay out of Hyperspace. But from your previous comment...you said you'd visit more if they kept it up. In that case, it's getting them a bigger pop. Which...how that's bad for them...I don't get it. Sure, it's messed up logic...but I could say the same to your logic. It's okay to say you can't be racist, which is completely their right, and not to cuss? It's his zone, if he doesn't like it you have to deal with it. I'd think you would know this. You have every right to dislike it, even complain. But don't tell Brain he's wrong. That's just dumb.

Aah, forgot to login.

Yeah, really, skill plays a much bigger part than most of the noobs coming in think. Anyway, I personally think that balling is worth too little when there's only a few people in, and too much when there's a lot. I don't guess you could change that though, not easily and it probably wouldn't be a good idea. If only you could have the teams limited so the only 5 people in the zone couldn't all join one freq, you could raise the balling money for when it's smaller, but limiting the teams wouldn't be a great idea either. It works this way though, and if any of you remember the old DS, if it works you DON'T want to change it. So the best bet would be to get over it. 'Course, if everyone could do that, would the term "newbie" have ever been coined?

The Messiah is coming, idiot.

Oh, the fun stops when someone loses an eye. Unless that person wanted to be a pirate.

Player Gallery, Ninja. Like pictures of the players. Almost makes me want a digital camera. But then again, it's probably a good thing to keep my face off the internet. On the same topic, I have a friend that can clean up pictures for you, things like red-eyes, blemishes, scratches, et cetera. It'll cost you 5K in HS$ per picture.
-
The funny thing is...I've seen that very picture on a site before, Grav. I wonder where you got it? .... Besides, that was taken while HS was down. If anything, you'd be smiling, if you hated it as much as you say.
-
Actually, I don't think a duel arena, or an elim arena, wouldn't be very entertaining here at all. But whatever, I guess if someone likes it, it's worth it.
-
I wouldn't call it fool proof either. There's lots of ways around obscenity.txt, and people do it all the time. Besides, the fact that if you don't want to see it, you don't get to see what everyone says is annoying. Put yourself in Brain's positon: He doesn't want to see the words. So, he puts his blocker on. Now, someone says something else illegal, something racist or something, and they used a word in the Obscenity.txt, and Brain doesn't get it. Now, he can't prove someone did it, and he doesn't want to do it without proof, so he gets away. It's reasons like that why staff can't have blockers on, not and expect to be very effective in similar cases. And if the staff are the people that don't want to see it, they'll just ban you, so there's no conflictions. Or at least I would.
-
The only reason that you're even able to ball-kill, is so people can't run into a safe with the ball. That's the only reason I know of. Your reasons are stupid, your excuses were ignorant. You think anyone would've put a safe zone there if they didn't want people to be safe? >_< Think a bit more. Remember, even in zones where the staff is retarted, the rules are usually made by someone that isn't, at least for the zones that ever have people in them, anyway.
-
You know, somehow the way this zone is set up, it gets rid of a lot of idiots and a-holes. It's great. I forgot the point of this post, but whatever. You know, I was originally complaining about basing it, but it changed somewhere.... Yeah, I never cared about my rec. I should really go try to get a high rec on OF, that zone's so easy.... This post is kinda useless, huh.
-
I can't find CurveBall anymore.... Makes me sad. Funk, you only have one championship left, you know.
-
I like powerballing anyway. Probably because you don't actually have to do any work, if your freq thinks you're doing work, and you get cash.
-
No, you have a 49 bounty ship. 56 is maxed, I think.
-
Well, may as well try anyway.
-
Basing the powerball should be illegal, in the grounds that in puts a downer on powerballing. And it's always when it's a full zone, too. >_<
-
Ah, see, now that I get. But it still discourages collecting ships, and I rather like the idea of collecting ships. But I've found out 1 bountying is much easier than it sounds.
-
I didn't say people wouldn't do it. But, the discouragement is still there, regardless of whether you care about it or not. And, does it matter if you're really rich? A lot of people wouldn't buy a second ship if they didn't already have an awesome one, but a lot of them would. So, let's use a real life analogy. You have 5 billion dollars in the bank account, and you get a job at McDonalds. You have 5 cars, a limo, a helicopter, 3 houses.... Should you only get paid 2 dollars an hour, because you have more money? I don't see any sense in it at all. You're doing the same work some guy without a 49 bounty ship is doing, and it's not like you're taking his job. So, you should get the same cash he does when you manage to take down the 500 bounty super/shields guy. It makes perfect sense to me.
