for me the discrepancy between the client name and the game name will alsways be an issue. I think get continuum is a great domain for this and should link into SSGN to put it to full use. It is a shame continuum.com as is subspace.com. SSGN has potential to be the perfect hub, we just need to get more people coming to it through advertising and getting all zones involved. other more "easy to find" domains can always be used as satellite sites to draw newbies in.

Osama is dead, it is all I have heard in the news for 2 days now, frankly I think its being blown way out of proportion. Is it justice? I am not too sure for a few reasons: 1: Killing one man in a raid noes not make up for thousands dead 2: He was not rumored to mastermind behind 9/11 and subsequent attacks in the al quieda name 3: In the so war on terror many more innocent civilians have been killed then were killed in 9/11 and subsequent attacks It is also clear that killing him will make no difference whatsoever to extreme views in the long term. On the other hand I think he did deserve it, however much I am anti war on the whole. I think what it allows is some sort of closure, not justice. And like many others I would have preferred to see him tried in a fair court in a public trial, but I can also see how that was never going to be possible.

This is a classic high school example of BODMAS though, it is intentionally confusing and ambiguous without applying the standard methods of working. I seem to remember having 1-20 from your favorite textbook of these... used to find the repetition so unbelievably dull. no wonder I (attempted to) give up maths.

some people arevery defensive of tiles. DS had a large argument with another zone many years ago about 3 tiles, which had to be redone in the end to stop the fussing. (blue doors became red doors is memory serves me correctly) The best thing to do is ask before using, there are also a lot of tile out there for anyone to use in what was SSDL. On the issue of your own map, I would be inclined to say you can do what you want with it (but there could be an issue with tiles if you used the zones tileset). There have been many zone owners who insist that anything in the zone, no matter who made it, belong to the zone and they get final say. Personally I think this is getting into a very fuzzy line of who owns what.

this is an old issue that has appeard on these forums many times. Unfortunatly no real fix has ever been discoverd. I would suggest trying fresh install and ensuring that AV or firewall is not intefering with it.

Personally I think consistency is the most important factor. For a newbie telling them that "you are playing subspace with continuum connecting to an ASSS/Subgame server" is confusing. All a newbie sees when they download is an application called continuum and so as far as they know/care they are playing continuum. The above is why my vote sits solidly in continuum. A history lesson for those that care is good, and I know people are nostalgic about subspace, but thats not an argument against keeping it simple and accessable.
