I agree with Delic on this. DSB is a popular zone and a large part of the community. I can understand wanting to end things on a high but this will be a huge blow to the game. I worry that when it goes offline many players will just quit rather then find a new zone. There are people more then willing to host and run the zone and fresh leadership isn't always a bad thing. Given the circumstances a shutdown seems absolutely senseless.

they are pretty cool, but useless for 99% of people. I have had the joyof using very powerful lasers and arc lamps in the past, but these are almost always built into a larger peice of equipment and you don't actually see them.

So what is it? I can see its some form of DNA binding protein but its not my area so I cant work out which one. Got a link to the pdb entry?

I dont think it needs an aoiverhaul, the basics are there. Just a few updates. Of course a complete remake looks like the only way this will happen.

Have you tried uninsta;;ing the game and reinstalling it to a dofferent directory?

I know WM is slow and a bit clumsy, been the case with my past two phones but I can look past that. The only think I worry about is what happens to all the apps I use when WP7 comes out. I have no gripe with HTC, my last two phones have both been rebranded HTC (orange SPV m700 and SE xperia X1) and they have been great, its just the support from the company that supplies them that has been a big dissapointment. The main reason I am looking at HTC is because I know they will support a device as long as the hardware can take the upgrade. Looks like office and exhange can be done on HTC, maps probably but its just the media player now. Just wondering is anyone knows of software thats will meet these needs. If the apps on current winmo would port to WP7, and they would allow the use of memory cards and access to tweak the phone I would buy the HD2 in a heartbeat. Im 75% sure I want to go to android, just need to make sure it will meet my needs before sigining on to an 18 month contract.

Anyone know how android compared to windows mobile? I am due an upgrade in two weeks and my current phone annoys me so it is time for an upgrade. I am currently looking at the HTC desire, HTC HD 2 or wait until WP7 devices arrive. There are four things i will 100% insist on for my phone. 1. Ability to use outlook e-mail and calender 2. Ability to open and edit MS office docs 3. Decent offline mapping software which allowes KLM files to be overlaid on maps of bridle ways/roads/paths etc(currently using navicomputer on winmo) 4. Decent media player with EQ function that actually works (currently use pocketplayer for winmo. If not the desire then its either take the HD2 and acceppt that all support will be dumped in a few months, or wait for WP7 and be annoyed by the amount they have locked it all down.

what happens if you shut down your firewall completly? Is it home or a work/school network you are tring to connect on?

An EU server would be nice. I always seem to suffer in the UK with poor pings. The real question is how do EU and US players split? The other issue is that players always mix rather then use a server closest to them, which will likly reduce its demand if US players have issues with ping.

OK now it loaded I can comment. I like where you are going, using the 3d model at high res as most of the image but they look too glassy for my liking, perhaps when the fully textured models are made then they would look loads better. Whats with the backgrounds? I like what you have done but a space BG done in the same way would be more fitting IMO. And it broke your 3rd world internet? My works T1 struggled with that as well!

I did have a very good guide on this a few years ago. Effectivly what you do is take four copies and tile them as below: X X X X Then you edit the edges to merge with each other but leave everything else as it is. Finally you create your new image from the centers of the four origional squares and the image will tile seamlessley.
