I think Manus makes a really good point on the moral thingy As for the question about US history texts, I had a US history class this past semester and the text that we had to buy was pretty unbiased as I could tell. It just presented facts, not opinions on who was right. Then in lectures the prof. talked about motivations behind actions that nations took (usually economically based...sometimes on pride or other reasons). The lectures didnt follow the text though and we had to read that on our own for the tests (-*BAD WORD*- making us read ) anyhoo, getting back on topic here...usually high school history texts are pretty -*BAD WORD*- biased but as you get further along, they filter out more of the -*BAD WORD*-. So if you're looking for info on US history, i'd stay away from high school texts even though its easy to read

That isnt true about minnesota colleges lol take it from me Affirmative action is de facto racism if not de jure...just because its wrapped in a pretty package doesn;t make it right As for the issue (if there was one) of political parties, there should be NONE... there is no provision in the Cons!@#$%^&*ution for political parties or even politics! It was meant to be (as in a Presidential election) two people (or more whatever) debating each other on the issues, not just some gaudy campaign that is more like a beauty pageant than a serious election. You can buy an election these days (just look at the net worth of each of the major candidates) you need to be a millionaire to even get on TV. There should be campaign spending caps. It's really too bad that almost all campaigning these days is simple mudslinging...It would be refreshing to hear a candidate actually praise the actions of his(or her) opponent. Maybe someday this will be true but then again maybe someday they will successfully mate a pig and a chicken so we can have chacon (chicken/bacon). In either case, I won't hold my breath

Hey Void welcome to 17th...dont get involved cuz it won't do any good Jav best ship, but spider is good to take out those -*BAD WORD*- base -*BAD WORD*-es. I've been playing for quite awhile, since b4 the millenium change so im an oldie, but i never seem to get any better Don't listen to what people say, Rumble, SBL, and Javwar SUCK... the only games worth playing are SBLBall, Mothership, Speedball, and -*BAD WORD*- with the occasional tankwars and dodgeball (but no one ever hosts them... Grr @ ERs) I used to play Infantry and I played Bugzone for awhile, it was pretty cool...Too bad they got greedy and started charging. Best thing that ever happened to Continuum I suppose. Anyhoo, welcome to 17th... Florida sucks, may it die in the next hurricane, the UK sucks cuz they all got horrible teeth, and Canada sucks cuz Family Guy says so (Canada aint too bad, its just that its filled with Canadians, and the UK, well yeah they still suck...USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I really can't see this idea as gaining alot of support. We have 'soccer' in pub (yeah it's not really but whatever) and we have SBLBall. I just don't think we really need another ball game in 17th so I don't see this idea getting off the ground or being very successful. I could be wrong though, It would all depend on the settings, shipsets, the map, etc. It could turn out to be really cool and fun, but then again it could turn out to be really lame and sucky. It all just depends on whether or not the powers that be decide to go ahead and try it out. If you get it running I'll try it, but if it sucks, there will be no mercy.
