About 10 mins to setup the script, 30 mins to convert the basic avatars, and another 30 for the animated ones.

I personally don't read handles. I just !@#$%^&*ociate the name with the avatar. If the avatar keeps changing, it's nice to have that info right there for my brain to process. If I were the only one on earth who worked like this, I would have left it off. But there are plenty of other people who have the same mental process.
