A = Bad because then hoppers will just wait until those flags are in base and just hop onto the team and get a guaranteed p!@#$%^&* onto that team, first step works great, second phase of that not so great B = Bad because wanting to come in real fast and get those falgs ASAP is the entire point

    I use wireless internet 90% of the time I play, I have never had any problems. Then again I'm sometimes close to the router itself, I guess it all depends

    If it's all continuum, most likely you have a virus causing you to lag or some kind of background program
  4. It's not a waste, just that there are better ways to use a sig spot for most ships when it comes to armor. Ablative is without a doubt the most used because it gives the most benefits without any drawbacks. The reinforcement thing is funny though
  5. Some of those items arent even allowed on those ships. Maneuvering fins not allowed on either ship. Only two emitters per ship - Two addons - Two mounts If you have extra addon, you cant have another capacity, but you can have extra mount and emitter. Solid isnt a good option imo O_o

    Problem is there's very little incentive for people to actually want to rush. Especially if you're alone.
  7. A lanc does make money, but let's face it, a player who's bntying is making around 3x the amount the lanc is. It's near impossible for a lanc to get a bnty higher than 100, and it's even harder for the lanc to kill in general. There's really no reason not to give some kind of incentive for the lanc to continue lancing, especially with the current bases. The current bases make lanc's a necessity, especially smart lancs.

    The people who "rush" with guns only get one kill and die on average. That's not a good rush in any definition. You need to use items to have a successful rush, at least now anyways.

    Well, we've complained how unbalanced they are, so how about some suggestions on how to fix it instead?
  11. Problem with basing is that generally the teams are fairly one sided for one reason or another. Because of that, the attacking team generally doesnt see a point in attacking, seeing as how many times rushing causes a loss of money, rather than a gain, and defending 90% of the time even if you are rushing will cause an increase of money. In other words, defenders have all the reason in the world to keep on defending, an attacking team has to have hope to find a way to become the defending team. And a lot of times, the defending team is "letting" the attacking team continue to attack, rather than wipe them out. As for the jackpot, it's increasing at half the pace. The five bnty increase is the root of the problem, since jackpot increases with the person's bounty increasing the jackpot. So if someone has a bounty of say 50 right now, before it would had been a bounty of 100, meaning a 50 pnt different in the jackpot. It might not seem like a lot, but imagine over 100 kills like that. Imagine over a spam of an entire flag game, it becomes a lot. If there was a way to keep teams even, then I think basing would continue on for a few hours, but as it is right now, no not really.

    This is the normal complaint about actually having to use ammo, but when you refill your ammo your bounty goes back to ten. I understand that the initial purpose of ammo was two things, to slow down bntying and to stop weapon spam. But why make the bounty reset if you refill your ammo? That completely gets rid of bountying rather that slowing it down or anything even close. Not only that, but it was done in the middle of when a turret was in need to have ammo replenished. I for one dont like to make conspiracy theories, but the last two "major" changes, the bounty and the siege mounts, were both done in the middle of playing when Arnk was being owned. It might be a coincidence or whatever, however that's stupid. It just seems that whenever Arnk is being owned by something in the game, he feels the urge to nerf it or get rid of it. Dont get me wrong, I like some of the changes in the zone, and I like how some of the things that were overpowered were nerfed, but siege mounts and ammo refilling were two things that shouldn't of been touched in the beginning, yet alone in the middle of a game that's being played.

    Timing not irrelevant because the opposing team was getting owned completely. Something else is, why shouldnt the attacking freq be able to do the exact same thing as the defending freq?

    Generally you lean one way or the other. When pushing, it's either use your items or die.

    That is what Arnk said when I spoke to him that day he removed bursts from siege mount. Even if they thor, the likelihood of them rushing deep enough to let off an effective burst at the enemy is very small, especially seeing as how most are low energy javs. And I stated this before, but the Wzl had the advantage of being able to thor and weaken the enemy somewhat before rushing in, whereas a terr (with better stats to rush mind you, other than energy) would just rush in with more reps so it could get in deeper. A wzl's strength over the terr was what made the wzl somewhat more attractive than a terr, and some people were actually beginning to realize it. I've never seen a jav rush well consistently. The ship itself makes a huge difference. A Terrier can do everything equally, if not better than pretty much all the other ships. If you're going to do something, say bounty for example, why are you going to go into an inferior ship if you dont have to? What I was comparing though was... A terr and wzl - All things being equal - Same player, same items to help rush - The terr is a better ship because it's stats are better than the wzl all around for pure rushing (no thorring involved) - Not only that, but the terr can supplement guns, whereas the wzl MUST use salvo as it's bomb, if a terr uses salvo as it's bomb, not a big deal, it's main weapon is actualy gunning, and it has access to some of the best guns in zone too. Suicide, you have a terr for bntying, and the majority of the zone also have a terr that can bnty, but at the same time rush. Since all a bnty terr is is a terr with plasma.

    I'm using thors strategically, unlike others who only do it for exp/parasite feeding/easy kills. I'm complaining about it because it ruins the usefulness of a ship that's already rarely used and favors a ship that's already overused in the zone.

    The distinct advantage that the wzl had was the bomb speed and the ability to use the item setup of... "Siege x2 - Defense - Deflector" giving it 2 thors, 3 bursts, 2 reps. Wzl would be the only ship in the entire zone that could use that setup effectively. Otherwise, anything a wzl can do, a terr can do better. Which right now is the case. Realistically how wzl's do you see? Now compare that to the amount terrs you see. Better yet, how many good wzl's are there? Now compare that to how many good terrs there are. The purpose of taking bursts away from siege mount was to try and decrease thorring, which I agree is something that should be done, the thing is though, it isnt going to do much of anything to stop thorring, and having it actually benefited the zone because it gave wzl a chance to actually be used by people if they put in some effort into making the wzl. I personally thought that that setup for wzl was superior than anything a terrier could offer, so I went with wzl, but now that siege mount no longer has the burst, the wzl is nothing more than a weaker version of the terrier. Why make a change that pushes people toward only one ship? Btw, I will make due with what the settings offer, in fact I already have. I still am able to rush/push and do it well with my wzl. So please dont think that I'm trying to keep my old wzl because I cant cope with the changes in the zone.
