    If they rarely use those bursts to begin with, how is is supposed to make thorring less attractive? Since that's the entire point of removing bursts from siege mount. And just fyi, I still wipe out teams

    That's the point - If you cant use those bursts well in the first place, why have them taken away? How does that make double thorring less attractive? However, in this case, this is the only thing that made wzl a better option than terrier. It could thor and rush. Tell me, why wouldnt someone get a terrier if they're not using the ship to thor?

    Suicide, I've stated this before twice so far... To effectively use those bursts, you need reps. How many double thor ships do you know that can actually rush well and thor well?

    Arnks reasoning for doing it.... Siege mount was used for double thors mainly, having more items along with thors was bad. He states he is going to add a new mount or item that will allow bursts to be on your ship as a subs!@#$%^&*ute. That's still not a good reason for taking bursts out. Bursts are needed to attack properly, and at the SAME time, if you want to use bursts effectively, your ship does need reps so it can get deep enough into the enemy line to work well. So in other words, you cant have two thors if you want to have at "least" two reps. (a lot of times two isnt even enough) The second point why this is bad is because it makes the wzl a useless base ship. Right now, the only advantage the wzl had over a terrier was that the wzl could bomb a lot better. In almost every aspect (except energy), the wzl is an inferior ship to the terrier. If you did your mounts right, you could have a ship that could double thor and rush in a base, making it a superior basing ship over the terrier. With Arnk's new "mount" that he said is coming soon, that will allow you to carry reps, this makes the terrier probably the only viable rushing ship and the only viable basing ship. The terrier can do anything you can do pretty much. It can rush, it can gun, it can bomb semi effectively, it can cloak, it can have antiwarp/xradar, it can field, it can hold signatures. Why wouldnt anyone want to terr instead of anything else now? Other than double thorring, but hey, a Terrier can survive 3-4 thors, let's not forget, it can also rep.

    Suicide, if you dont have any reps, your bursts wont do much if you cant get deep enough. If you're able to dodge bombs and guns to get deep enough, I think you deserve to burst in their faces. Not only that, these changes were done in the middle of a 23v23 flag game, that I dont understand...

  7. I dont mind that ammo is meant to hinder bntying, but there should still be ways to bnty even with ammo in place, right now if someone has antiwarp on the opposing team, and you run out of ammo, what are you going to do?
  8. A penalty when you die? That'll make HS players not rush EVER... What kind of logic is that?
  9. The point is to "at least" stop them from thorring. If your team cant thor, and they cant thor, the team that knows how to work around you will win. Also, if the enemy is that close to you, it wouldnt matter since the thor will explode near your own team either way.

    Tunnels = Bigger = Can hide where bullets dont shoot Then base 1 has areas where sharks can byp!@#$%^&* the tunnels of a base to get to FR faster.
  11. You do hold a base by scattering because you die A LOT easier if you're bunched up, whether it be by thors OR bursts. Standing against a wall to protect everyone else does a lot. Especially if the thorring is coming from inside the base, if you stand properly, the thors will cause the majority of the damage against the enemy causing TKs. The point is, to rush them so that when they do thor, it's basicly like a close bomb. Idk if you've ever caused someone to close bomb, but they're A LOT easier to kill once they have. And yes, #7 works well too

    Hiro, Idk if you were there or not, but I was on the private team and it was not even close to 6v18v18. Nor have I seen a successful priv team attack as base successfully if teams are 6v10v10 even. It's just a lot harder to priv now.

    Hmm.... About private teams, that's completely false. Since the reset, the priv teams have yet to win consistently, and even then, it was 6v8v8 and the attacking team was being flanked. They've only one once as of recent (other than runwins). Problem with ammo is you cant bnty as easily. If you run out you'll have to have an "ammo run" which completely disrupts things in the base, not only that, how about antiwarp? The problem with attacking is, no one wants to, they're afraid of dying now.
  16. If bases were to become more like base 6 with wider tunnels (which I think they should) sharks will have a big advantage. So before you let them have any signatures, probably see how they fair with those kind of bases before you give them some help, for all you know they might become near unstoppable in those kind of bases Thor proof areas in bases are best, yup!!! Or make it in a small area where you can thor so that way you know where to aim and you're just not lobbing. Plasma has been nerfed, but it still needs some more nerf. Terrier with plasma is what's deadly, not the terrier itself. Compare a terr with pulse and a terr with plasma. The pulse Terr is easy compared to a plasma terr. I think fields are fine as they are, they arent meant to be used like normal items, they're meant to be used wisely, especially since they can change the tide of a battle. Brick time should be increased, agreed.

Tired of people whining about thors being a problem if you're letting yourself be hit by them so.... 1) Do not bunch up -If you bunch up, it just makes it more possible for the one(s) thorring to actually kill not only yourself, but more of your team. Even if they do kill one or two of you, two thors cost 100 HSD, I doubt two people are going to make up for that 100 HSD loss, also, people wont know where to thor, and the thors themselves will also be more scattered. 2) If there is a wall separating you and the enemy, stand near the wall. -This causes the thor prox to be activated on the enemy rather than your own team, of course you still receive damage, but since the thor explodes top of their own team, more damage will be done to them, while minimal amounts done to you, at the same time though, this makes it so your team cant thor, unless they go away from you, but the goal is to keep them from doing damage to your team. (Better for 2500+ energy ships) 3) Dont stay far away -If a team stays far away, they're perfect thor targets, more space means even more reason for them to shoot thors at you. 4) Use ?summon -Full energy when you attach, I know some lanc's dont have summon yet, but there are more and more of them coming. 5) Rush the enemy -If you rush them, and their ships are meant for thorring, what do you think the chances are that they'll be able to defend properly? Get them out of thor ships, and make them defend at least, and if you rush them, you might even kill their lanc. That's all I can think of for now.
  19. Stop complaining about the "Warbird" and concentrate on the overall zone. WB isnt meant to have more energy to help combat a larger ship, it's supposed to maneuver around the bigger ship, if you havent noticed, larger ships rotations are now generally pretty bad. WB was actually upgraded somewhat compared to last reset int DIFFERENT ways, ways that you dont seem to understand. WB can actually base now because of it's gun speed being the BEST in the entire zone, it shoots out thors during a thor storm in a base. I've seen WBs kill 6 players in one double thor run and rush into enemy and kill some more. Dont say the WB is actually worse, Heavy ships are meant to be better in a straight out bull fight against a light fighter, stop going straight into enemy, and actually dodge some shots and shoot.

    More team members = More thors = Less bline possibilities since thors are hitting them more often I doubt they'll be bigger, other than in tunnels, seeing as how the bases have to fit in the sectors. ---------------UPDATE---------------- Right now in pub it's 20v20v7 - With at least 10 people in spec waiting to get into one of the 20v20 teams. So if I did my math right it's like 29v28 if pub limits were raised

    Chaos or not, the fact is people wnat to base and because of the team limit, people CANT. Earlier there were at least ten people waiting to get onto one of the two teams, otherwise they would be put on freq 2, doing nothing, and if they wanted to base, they would just be flanking, which ruins the basing game. Who cares if it's chaotic, last I checked, people liked that?

    Generally speaking, when I get the flags from attacking, my team doesnt lose them, until I hop again to help the attacking team since they're having trouble. So Idk what your logic is about the attacking team losing flags again.

    Each category has a super item in them, something that gives them a pretty nice advantage, those items are signature items, each ship can only carry one.

    In all honesty, it is harder to make money. 1/3 of leech money instead of 1/2. The further away you are from people, the less leech money you get. Bnty only increases by 5. Somehow the jackpot seems to be growing slower. Items costing more, consumable items....
