  1. If only. I know what you're hinting at, but it lacks a few things and I don't have the time to go figure out the particularly annoying ones (repels and such), and I don't want to use a "prototype" that lacks features in a functional, running zone.
  2. This.
  3. I am. Don't worry, I still love you.

  5. Or.. rebalance Ripper and Tempest.. As I've been doing. Christ, people have been whining the items are now "useless". Go figure.
  6. The issue with extra-powerful ship-specific items is that they'll end up being the obvious choice for pretty much everyone. Detrimental to variety in builds which I value highly.
  7. No. Compared to other capacity items, Extra Signature is just waaaay off the charts.
  8. That would allow players to simply warp out with flags on demand*. How about a simple ?neut command? Probably would be possible. *) Yes. I know. What you're thinking of will be fixed. I should have time soon.
  9. I'm not against granting rewards for this. Can't give you exact amounts, but they'll be enough.
  10. Probably, yes. It was Monkey's bot, though, not mine.
  11. Will have a look tomorrow.
  12. Because the turret -is- you. It is an automated part of -your- ship.
  13. That has relatively little to do with turrets giving experience and kills, and far more with their power.

  15. And we're going to assume that sending out up to thousands of texts per month, worldwide, would be free? I somehow doubt it. And I suspect that if people badly wanted those vibrations, they could sign up for twitter and use some app to automatically tell them of updates. Now, you're bound to start complaining "not everyone has twitter" again, but if you want extra features, then you'll have to put in some effort. Also, texting suffers from the same problem email does: it requires you to sign up (your phone number, even).
  16. I'd consider it wiser to drop the experience requirements on a number of Signature items as well, as you need one to truly be at the same level as those with a lot of experience.
  17. Dying is not an achievement or something worth rewarding. Therefore, this'll never happen. Not to mention it seems a bit like noticing you've got a flat tire, and instead of replacing it, attaching an extra wheel at some weird location that just about keeps the flat tire off the ground, but makes it possible to drive again. Or, in a way everyone can understand: experience for death is basically saying "Experience requirements are too high. Instead of lowering them, we should give players all kinds of weird ways to get experience to make up for it.".
  18. Did you read my post at all? You don't need to "use" twitter. You click a link and you get a list of flaggames and population. Don't need to sign up for Twitter. I didn't say people don't have email accounts. I said you would have to first -sign up- for the bot to let it -know- your email account. Why do that when the above method is much more convenient for users?
  19. Split from http://www.subspace.co/topic/26811-my-wish-list/.
  20. That's a kind of silly band-aid solution. "Getting to 4k experience is boring because you don't unlock enough items, so instead we'll make players start with 4k experience."? No. Instead, you make 0 -> 4k experience more interesting.
  21. I'm not convinced you'll make very many friends among both staff and regular players doing so, but hey, it's your funeral.
  22. Call it trendy and stupid, but it's much more convenient than email or texting. Texting is bound to cost real-life cash to do. Email requires players to "sign up". Twitter, on the other hand, lets a bot or module simply send out messages, and whoever wants to check if anything is going on just goes to a bookmarked twitter page. I don't use twitter myself, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its uses.
  23. All that is very interesting, but also a great change from how the zone currently works. This usually means it takes quite a bit of time (which unfortunately I don't have much of) to implement.
  24. The grinding halt is fine. It's just that fewer items should be available -after- the 'grinding halt', and many more before
