  7. ive already told you the reason twice, both you and lynx have ignored me, and even went as far as dipping hands in my cfg to change my zones port so you could take it, with me even stating that it wouldnt work beforehand

    i sort of already am using them each cell has a cost to traverse dependent on the distance from the objective my problem is that the detection propagates out radially from the bot id like some sort of raycasting whatever somehow
  10. well i could do a preliminary open source alpha release of my fake player platform, because it has an upgraded version of smong/jowies damage module, for the purposes of tracking tile damage, and there could be tile or fake player based objects taking damage that could be destroyed, and then rebuilt/bought using resources gained from node control or there could be team purchases, where players are awarded a certain amount of resources per ding, and one player can spend their money on a team upgrade which affects every player, like -1 firedelay or something

    Anyone good with AI stuff? ive been writing a fake player platform with an AI interface, but im not that great with it for instance, i used A* pathfinding, but its horrible in open spaces, and i have no idea how to factor in the ship size ive made them bounce off walls, but still cant factor in ship size heres a picture of it failing in open space, starting at highest green mark and ending at lowest green mark:
  12. additionally, you could have specific persistent LVZ activate when players enter the area for each flag occupation state change (owned/unowned/decaying), and turn off when the state change becomes complete and talk to dr brain to ask how he made the stuff with particleillusion .
  13. suggestion: node groups you could have specific sets of nodes that are geographically similar, and award a certain % or amount of points/power/whatever to the team that controls that set like the board game RISK
  14. with a node control system in place, there is no reason to limit pub to 2 teams, and each freq/team could have a predetermined node color this will lead to a purpose for squads in hs
  15. You're right. He should be discouraged from doing something he enjoys in his spare time. It was rude of him to not consult with you before he started this project.   23. personally, i think doing it in javascript sounds like a terrible idea however, i havnt done anything in javascript since ppl still used tags on the internet $0.02 .
