God you people are slow on the go... Change pub all you want, leave the event map settings alone. Dont change the ship settings, atleast not much, there fine trust me on that. If you want to do anything, just make a better map. The first thing anyone see's when they enter a zone is the map, well the dl'in of it, but yea the map and thats the eye catcher. Just concentrate on getting peoples attention and less on how to change the entire zone. Events are fine, thats what 17th was made on, was its events. What you staffers are trying to do is boost up population, but what your failing at is keeping the veteran population. All the vets want is for you to leave the jav alone in every other arena but pub. Mess with pub as much as you want, but leave the events alone. You people need business skills... To attract people to something is to catch their eye... like say DSB, people like that map becuase for one its about starwars and the desgin of the map looks cool. Thats what gets people's favor towards zones. So basically in a nuts-*BAD WORD*-, leave the events alone and mess with pub... AND STUP THE -*BAD WORD*- ARGUING, I mean for real, you people dont even know each other, yet you argue like brother and sisters, your all so childish and yes so was I, the game makes you that way. Well if you strognly agree with your views then I would suggest going to a higher source then the 17th staff, try the SS admin. Becuase 17th staff can only put certain words in the obscene text script. It would be up to the SS administration to block out most obscene names. Really man, sadman insane and names like he's are spoofs, like if you would say Potzi or Rodolph -*BAD WORD*-ler. Their making a point with those names, there making fun of them. And if so say some muslems get offended by anyone making fun of ole suddam, well then they most be one of he's supporters which would make them just as guilty as him. Yes there are tons of names that are offensive to people, and a lot get over looked at times. But some names just have a longer history or torment then others. And as far a religious names go, well religion will always be around and the repsect that each other person gives to that person and his or her preference. If this wasn't true we'd be having another crusade right now. Just like mythilogical gods are used as names on SS so say are bible character names are as well. And for you too tell someone not to use one of those names is just disrespectful to that person, which makes you no better then those during the crusades or even dictators of other countrys. It all goes back to the impotance of a word and the meaning behind it. You have to have a good common knowledge of words before you use them and not just knowing where they go in a paragraph. Stylez

dude, sadman insane is a spoof on saddam husanes name, it's meant to be funny, and no one cares about the feelings of a tyrant. Jesus didn't create the crusades, men did, men curse themselves not jesus, and btw jesus is a mexican name as well. What I'm saying is, there are certain words that are just not meant to be made public, "really I could careless about that name" but a lot of people do, and I also understand why they would. The words NAZI, KKK, BLACK PANTHER, BLOOD, LATIN KINGS, CRIPS, SKINHEAD, are all racial words and those words are feeled with hate. No one will ever be able to change the meaning of those words and there will always be people who find those words offensive, all you can do is be mature about it and just go on with a different name and try and be respectful to those who might find it offensive.

I dont know how sadman insane is offensive but 4u>jesus isn't offensive, just contraversial. The word nazi is offensive to those who had past conflicts with nazi's and have a grudge against them, nazi's purposally murdered thousands of people, jesus didn't.... and even if you want to commit genocide on them all doesn't mean that the name should be over looked. Theres a point to argue and then theres a point to know when the shut up and think before you post... Nazi and genocide and both two words that are very offensive to people, now genocide by itself would be looked at as a nick name, but the word nazi has already been branded and as a certain thing, and for you to wear it means only so many things. Yello peeps, Just to let you all know, I quit SS for the most part, trying to quit it cold turkey. I might come on from time to time just to see whos online, but thats about all your gonna get from me. This game shows no love, so I'll give it no love in return. But anyways, just to bring my opinion into the story here. I skimmed over most this garbage here and it sounds just like the same arguement that has been going on in 17th since the original settings of about 2 years ago was changed. It's not the fact 17th sucks, but that the pub and staff are all messed up... Not all of 17th staff suck, just the head staff members don't understand the gameplay and integraty of the game like the vets do, they may play some but not enough. To be a good staff member you should first have skills, which most staffers do "why they have the position in the first place" and a good knowledge of what people want and like, which a lot of staffers lack... Not just anyone can obtain this trade, you have to work at it. Millions of zones could be made, but only a hand full will make it, due to the owners having good people skills and a understanding of what those people want at that exact time. I believe staff are doing a decent job for a service they dont even get paid for. Even if it's to obtain power just to be a "vet" in their own lil way. Most noobs who couldn't hack it as a javer and wanted to be one of the "cool guys" resorted to feeling out a ER application. Everyone in every zone wants to be the best, becuase being the best gets you respect from others on that game. I mean one day you can be the biggest noob loser like... lets say oreo... and then one day lag a lil different and become the most wanted person on SS. Ok i'm trailing away from the point, the point is that, changing the map or the staff may or may not help, its just the respect between the players. Becuase you have your noobs and your veterans. Most staffers are the same noobs the verterans picked on for so long until they became a staffer. And when a vet becomes a staffer he's way to -*BAD WORD*-y with it, like foof or maka who abuse their powers and dont care what really happens to them about it, becuase they dont look at being on staff to get repsect, becuase they know they'll still have respect from other players with or without the powers becuase of their skills. Unlike the noob staffers who need that position in staff to have that power. If you people want a good/great zone, then stop arguing so much. Me being away from this game lets me see this. We all argue way to much for such a little online game. IF we just shut the -*BAD WORD*- up for two seconds and stop acting like we are some god then maybe we would have a better understanding of what we want. Becuase anyone can yell all day at someone what they want to happen, but doesn't mean it's going to get done. Once everyone learns to show everyone some respect and stop all the childish name calling, then just maybe 17th will be a better place, becuase 17th parallel is one of the most troubled zones in SS, its like SS's arkcan asylum... It's insane man P.S. The maps fine so are the settings, I mean people play them dont they? regardless of the server change, people will play something only becuase they like it, not just becuase they lag a lil better.
