We don't need to spend $800 a day on a site for warcraft fans. Our target audience is not people who are already addicted to an mmog, especially one they pay for. Why would people leave a game they're already addicted to, and pay for, for subpace? Our target audience should be those people looking for a 'free mmog'. We all like the game how it is, but don't like relying on PriitK for everything. Lots of improvements could be made with server/biller/database/ect, and brilliant API's for developers could be created. I'm not a programmer so I don't know the specifics, I just know the programmers could do much more with access to the source, or access to an active person/group of persons with the source that's willing to adjust the client. We certainly wouldn't run into all these little compatibility problems, we wouldn't run into problems with information that used to be standard but is now obsolete and poorly documented as the new standards. Current development has to hack its way through, and rely on out-dated technologies.

I know online advertising does work, just maybe not for subspace. Anyways, these were all text ads. We need image/flash ads. People who want to play spaceships don't click on text ads. People who want to buy food for their rabbits click on text ads..

I wish I had a billion dollars to make a tv commercial to promote subspace that showed some awesome gameplay screencaps then said in adult swim style [All your base are belong to us] - [yea, you suck at space ships] - [getcontinuum.com] - [eat greens] AND THEN so many people would download/play that all the SSC zones wouldn't be able to handle all the players so all the smaller zones would end up having 100's of players

Yea what drake said. You can already create a map in Photoshop. make an image 1024x1024 and use #ff00ff for regular wall tile. Every tile (and special tile) has a color, make a map with all the tiles and convert it to .bmp, open in Photoshop for tile=color references. There's a few tips, though: Make sure your select tool has no anti-alias, and no feather. So that using color 'ff00ff' won't blur at all. That's all I can think of at the moment actually.

Yea I understand why he would have took the zone down. Regardless, I'm sure quite a few people would like to see it back up.

Switching zones in-game will almost certainly be possible in the future.. I don't see a solution right now though. I'm not sure why TW and EG have a bridge or how they do it, maybe they are hosted on the same machine and use a modified subgame. I have a hunch that only the client is capable of 'zone redirecting', as it doesn't sound like something my as3 server could possibly (even with personal modifications) control. The server would have to say "You're no longer connected to 273.244.23.1:3000, you are now connected to 298.332.13.1:5000" and I don't think that's possible. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

For the record I am not religious, but I believe in being a good person for the sake of being a good person. I don't need an incentive like heaven or good karma. It's all opinion, and here's mine: The missionaries in Haiti are there to help. Sure some may be a bit fanatic, most may try to convert the children, and a few may have seen the disaster as an opportunity, but all of the missionaries are simply doing what they think is right. It's their way of life to send the 'message of God' out to people in tough situations because they believe faith can better their lives. Children are naturally righteous. They are very social and just want to play with their friends. They haven't wrapped their heads around the cruelty that exists in this world. That does make them good targets for indoctrination, but religion to them is just like a healthy diet: they don't think much of it. As parents and teachers we encourage kids to eat healthy and 'do onto others'. We often take our children to church and yes, even become missionaries to help the children of others. These are all just suggestions to them. Children will ultimately become adults and make their own decisions. As a father myself, I do the best I can to preserve my sons innocence. I lead by example and teach him by means I see fit. If you think religious exposure is a good way for your child to be a good person then that is your decision and your intentions are pure. Now if my son and I were effected by a disaster like we've just seen Haiti, and my ability to take care of him has been ruined, I would certainly consider allowing the missionaries to adopt him. I attended church for the first 14 years of my life, I was raised Christian. I was never exposed to fanatical preachings, I was only taught be be a good person. The fact that I grew up to be a good person while denouncing my Christianity is an example that children grow up to make their own decisions. As for religion and education, education is far more life changing. I can believe in God all I want, but it's not going to get me a job to take care of myself and my family. Religion didn't teach surgeons to save lives or give scientists the ability to develop cures for diseases. Religion is simply a means of teaching moral, while education teaches us survival and optimizes our ability to live healthy.

No Idea how you even make it look like that. I copy/paste into photoshop and it's all black. I save/open in photoshop and it's blocky.. If you have photoshop use the Custom -> Offset filter.

If I owned a zone that hundreds of children play, I would not advertise a radio station that played gangster cRap or self-pitty/emotional music.

I doubt anybody in SS listens to the same music I do. Why don't we all just listen to our own music libraries and play the game. If you really want to setup a radio station, just do it. People who enjoy your music selection will listen, and others won't. Having TW or EG support your radio station is just fishing for listeners (defeating the purpose of music). Just listen to what you like. Host whatever songs you like. Host your music on a radio station for anyone who likes it.

Downloaded this game. Clicked the install file and it installs super fast (too fast). But it's lying, it doesn't install. So I said w/e and never looked for a solution.
