  1. I was actually going to look into this ban and help you out until you poked your head into Galactic Warfare threatening to DOS attack Trench Wars and admitting you were using Cheat Engine and that's why you got banned. Nobody is going to lift your ban, as this is a legitimate ban - wait it out.
  2. Hey QA_MAN, are you still around?
  3. PoLiX resigned and is no longer handling these sort of things. Although I can't speak for him (obviously) so you never know. Can you explain the ban here? What's the ban ID? What was the situation that lead to a ban in the first place? I would try to talk to Mom if possible, although I'm not sure how you can reach her outside of SSC. I'll try talking to her for me if you give me the ban ID and tell me what happened.
  4. Is there even a (cash) Subspace donation fund? The only one I'm aware of is Trench Wars.
  5. Sounds good.
  6. We should host this at downloads.subspace-continuum.com or subspace-continuum.com/downloads I run the server, I can set it up.
  7. Does anyone know how I would go about creating an updated Continuum installer to weed out the default zones list? Currently, if you install Continuum on a fresh copy of Windows - Trench Wars (for example) is not even listed....among other zones. It's just a ton of red zones. The default directory server needs to be ssdir.playsubspace.com as this is the directory server that contains ALL the zones. the sscuservers directory server is extremely out-dated. Also, who do I contact to update the installer at getcontinuum.com? Anyone know? Thanks guys!
  8. Hmm, I have no idea? Never seen that before, and I have installed DCME on at least 5 different computers over the years. It's especially odd because HP MovieStore has nothing to do with DCME, obviously..
  9. Thank you MC.

    New client

Ya, looking great. Glad to see this kind of progress. I can't wait until you release the source for other developers to pickup and finish/polish. Thanks for your continued hard work Cheese!
  11. There's been numerous hacks / modifications released by reputable players who had no intention of cheating. The hacks / modifications released can often be a useful discovery, and advantageous to subspace developers. In that way I see this sort of thing as a contribution to the game, as it may have opened a door for another developer to figure out something really useful.
  12. Here's an example. The red tiles on the left have shading / lighting effects. If I ran one of the vertical red tiles through DCME, it would give me a solid red block because DCME doesn't perform the geometry - it simply mirrors half of the tile. But the yellowish/greenish tiles on the right have no shading / lighting. If I ran one of the yellow vertical tiles through DCME, it would give me the same corner tiles you see here, because the yellow tiles are the exact same on both sides. http://subspace-continuum.com/shading.jpg This red tile below has shading, the right half of the tile is a slightly darker shade of red. http://subspace-continuum.com/haslight.png This yellowish / greenish tile below doesn't have shading. The right half is the exact same as the left half. http://subspace-continuum.com/nolight.png Make any sense? In my video tutorial I use a specific method that works on any vertical tile to create a tileset. 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 tilesets (four tiles make up one vertical pipe) can also be created using the method in my video. DCME does not perform the geometric process as shown in my video, so it cannot handle shading. Or any other tile that isn't the exact same on both sides.
  13. Well Samapico, not really :/ It WORKS as in it can mirror half a tile and create a decent tileset (but with no lighting/shading). The method I use above involves no mirroring, so half the tile can be one shade while the other half is another - giving the tileset lighting effects. You never used the method I use for DCME. If you watch the video's I'm sure you'll understand the geometry. It's pretty simple once you wrap your head around it. You can probably simplify it.
  14. Haha.. I gave Samapico the link in-game. This is a newer version of the tutorial. Much better quality, clearer instructions. But yea, one major bump.
  15. I'm not sure if I ever posted this, so here it is. It's a tileset tutorial video that I recorded. If you watch closely you'll see how to create a tileset out of virtually anything. It's all geometry. Watch if interested in learning how to create tilesets. It's long (3 videos), but worth it if you're interested in creating tilesets. Part one: Part two: Part three:
  16. First of three:
  17. I helped HS with graphics for a while, until I got fired for stealing moneys It's OK, I understand. I shouldn't have been doing that. And I got busted for it.
  18. I'll reach out to Hockey Zone.
  19. No Lone, I have not visited league.nu. I also don't know how to 'hijack' emails unless you were referring to me contacting Argyle and asking for them. Do you have them or should I contact Argyle? My email is krynetixss@gmail.com if you have them (or if anyone has any). Thanks.
  20. Alright! Looks like that's all the zone descriptions I'm getting (for now). No sense prolonging the release of the first monthly newsletter. I'm going to finish creating this awesome template in accordance with SendGrid's guidelines (actually using all their tools / API, exclusively). If anyone has any input on the email newsletter please refer to this thread -----> http://www.subspace.co/topic/27100-subspace-email-newsletter-campaign/
  21. Hey Subspace, As many of you already know, I've been plotting an email newsletter campaign for Subspace. I'm thoroughly plotting the first of what will hopefully be monthly Subspace newsletters. I just want to share what I've devised with the community and ask for ideas, thoughts, critique, suggestions, assistance, resources, etc. Here's what I've done so far: Purchased a SendGrid account. I can send 40,000 emails per month with my current plan.Collected a total of 11,386 Subspace player's email addresses. If anyone is holding on to any subspace emails, or can access a database of emails (for example from zone forums, registrations) - please consider contributing them to this cause. Export a .csv or .txtCreated a template using SendGrid's template creator .. in this way I was able to be sure the template is utilizing industry-standard format.Collected zone descriptions and current news from: Trench Wars, Extreme Games, Hyperspace, Death Star Battle and Devastation. Wish I had more, but that's all I received upon request. I waited a few weeks and asked every major zone. No longer waiting. If you are reading this and represent a zone that isn't mentioned above - please send me a detailed zone description. The template looks like this so far: (just the top part, the rest of the zones are listed in the same fashion) http://subspace-continuum.com/email.jpg It includes all the proper / standard unsubscribe buttons and whatnot. I'm creating this by the book. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Critique? Thanks Subspace, KrynetiX
  22. Keep in mind that the Email Newsletter will only display one or two short paragraphs, activity times and a link to their website(s). The complete zone descriptions/synopses you see above will go on subspace-continuum.com and/or the "Free Space Sim Combat Shooter PVP MMO" niche website. I'm pretty sure we can at least get on the first page of Google (if not first RESULT) when someone searches "Free space mmo"... If we would only target those keywords we'd already be there. We are popular.. We've been around a looong time.. We ARE a "free space mmo". In fact, we are probably the 'free space mmo'. With a TON of backlinks and the phenomenal word-of-mouth advertising associated with Subspace - we can certainly #1 some search terms. Anyone disagree?
  23. TYVM, Dr Brain.
  24. Here's what zones have given me so far. .. ... .. -- --- -- I thank everyone who submitted the above statements. We're still missing a few.
  25. Death+ is rather impossible to track down. Can anyone take a moment to zip up their /zones folder and dropbox (or alternative) it for me? It will be of great benefit to Subspace.
